Why did you put the smissmas tag? This map doesn't feel like smissmas at all.

Yeah it's been a while lol. I've learned a lot since then, I might play around with it. I'm happy with how it looks after all this time but I will probably-eventually-remake the map or remake areas slowly but surely. Cubemaps and source lighting (what can add the white sheen) just kinda suck, and especially for a map this big too. I want to revise the brushwork and make some areas neater, etc. Detailing takes forever to get right man. Hope to someday have a team fortress on source 2 just for that sole reason lol.

To add to that whole graphical thing.

The map as a whole could stand to have better lighting in the Pyramid itself, while obviously it being the inside of a Pyramid it should be dark to some extent, the lack of a more brighter light level can leave models with an almost white-ish sheen(?) due to the darkness.

The water cascading into the main room would also likely look better with a more brighter lighting.

I haven't worked on this for a good minute. I've sinced worked on a CSS map that is unfinished and made arena meatmountain. I have made a suggestions forum if you would like more added. I'm happy with where it is but I could make more if people want!

I feel a seperate version of the map could be possible, I've been wanting to make an arena map for a while but I have yet to start on anything concrete. For points however I'm not sure I could put them in places that would work with the map, without changing main components of it.

Would it be possible to make this an objective-based map? Maybe even just arena? Or like "conquest"-style? Or even like, a team has to capture all control points, spread out across the map, to win? And each team can capture/re-capture any point at any time? I feel like the latter would be easy enough to make but its been ages since I've touched hammer.

This map is beautfiul and great to play on. The riddles are clever and difficult to find. Me and my admins couldn't find one of the riddles after hours of searching, which I don't mind one bit. I do love a challenge.

I do wish the four buttons for the riddles would respawn after some time, though. Mainly to give players who haven't found them a chance in regard to the players who already located them. I don't like the thought to reset this map every few hours or so.

Update for 2/15/17: The newly added "bar" area has been finished, and I'm fixing up lighting for it. Going to work to iron out those boxing ring issues. I have slightly altered the cave, as redesigning it as a whole just seems too difficult to do at the moment, but it's going to have some more visual effects and look more interesting than before.

I don't want to spoil too much before I fully push the update, but to get to the bar and unlock it for all you're going to need to find the tomb.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I'm still working on hammer stuff, just not this map at the moment. I like to take breaks between projects and so far I have this map, Station, and a couple more maps in the making. Some of which aren't for TF2, and will be up on gamebanana once they're ready to release. Again, sorry for the length between updates, will have more info soon!

Working on an update that practically doubles the size of the skybox, adds more detailing in various places around the map, and fixes the boxing arena. You'll soon be able to hear random music for battles, and have better control over them, as well as only take damage from melee attacks.

Currently working on an update that fixes spawns, apparentley I have most of the spawns in blu set to any which would result in red players dying upon spawning in the blu spawns. I'm also working on adjusting the tripwire, adding more nobuilds, adding a return tele for the caverns secret tele. I've also adjusted a couple textures, and made soundscapes more triggerable. Also added a few more details and adjusted the recovery items above the main lift.
