I think the idea mentioned of making it server wide is a bit OP. I mean, there is that option within the Structure+ mod allready, but it's tek level so it's end game. I think any feature like that should be end game.

that being said, I would like to request a feature, as optional so that other server admins can turn it off if desired. I would love to have a new option added, lets call it "repeat tracker" if you will. When used, it would prompt for a dino name, level range (optional), maybe some other options. not sure. anyways, when activated and options selected, as long as you keep the tracker out it would scan every X secs (maybe 5sec?) for that dino in range. when it comes into range, it gives a beep or a message that says there is a match near by. don't mark it or anything, just inform near by. (could add marking as well as an option in ini)

More of less, taking what you have allready. adding filter ability, and a loop process.

Knevilo imo leave it how it is! It’s a great mod no need for it to serve whole map their are other items they can use for that...

i can make it working about the whole map but finding wild was not the main goal of this mod, maybe i will make it configurable, atm its 20k editor units whats about to be similar with client render range

Visual range i think becasue i know it only detects in a short range the S+ mod has a device that will find dinos all over the map!

Is the range limited by the game engine or by other factors? In other words, assume there is only 1 wild dino and it's on the other side of the map. Would it be possible to detect this wild dino or does the game engine only report wild dinos within 'visual' range?

Is there a way of seeing where a specific wild dino is? I see the option for tamed dinos but not wild.

First this mod is A+++++++!

Second, what's the range of the wild dino's to be found, can it be changed or is it all the dino's loaded in memory around the player?

I remember that an old version showed Coordinates for my owned dinos. The current version does not do that anymore, it just summons the arrow. Can I re-enable that?

Any word on the Alliance bug getting fixed? I want to deploy this on our cluster, but we won't until the Alliances can properly be turned off.

@SMooreAce We already did, please check the extra thread about the problem. We've tried everything we could think of (reinstall the mod on my client and the server, delete my player data,...) but the new version never worked for me, while it did for the other players. The only explanation I can think of is that it has something to do with ping because I don't live in the country the server is hosted in. So while 25-35 hasn't been a problem with the previous version (and the Classsic one), there has had to be some change that now broke it.

The server I'm playing on is now running the Classic version and it's actually working! So looks like it was really the last update of this version that messed something up.

Since the last update the dino tracker doesn't work for me anymore. I get the beep but the main menu doesn't open, I only see the background - somethimes it's the blue one with a lot of blue hexagons and no status bar but usually it's the blue-greenish one + status bar.
I've tried so many things already (please check the "Left click makes sound but nothing else" thread for a full list) but nothing has worked so far. :/

A few players on my server are noticing that if you use it from the back of a water dino, you cannot close the interface. they have to exit the server and reconnect. Anyone else experiencing this?

hey can you set a exclusion filder? coelacanth's man, good lord the numbers XD have 2.0 on the dino count so certain ones will spawn more (higher chances to get max spawn lvls) which also means things like coelacanth spawn twice as many and they're already in abundence at 1.0 the scroll is real haha.

Just loaded the mod onto our test server. The Find alliance members button still shows. I can click on it, and I can see people in an alliance (being the alliance admin) and they can see people too. DisableAllyTracking is set to True

Hi Knevilo. Did you fix the Alliance option where if you set the 'DisableAllyTracking=true' it would still show the button and allow alliance admins to track players?

The right click function was removed temporarily in favor of a larger player base being able to use the mod.

The author will attempt to re-instate that functionality now that the root cause of the problem preventing people from using the tracker at all was found.

@milescheng: let your host use the classic version, i doubt it will be updated frequently.

Don't know, if it's attentional or not, but since the last version, the right click function of the tracker (show last tracked target) is not working anymore.

@milescheng deal with it, the mod wasn't functioning properly, and mod authors shouldn't have to worry about one group of people rendered off of a server because the mod isen't up to date

If you own a server, or in SP, launch the game without it, save world, then launch both with the mod again, should work

Just did a test with the DT_Test: no change in leftclick: leftclick -> plays peep peep but no PDA screen or other function. rightclick does completely nothing. One odd thing I noticed: I come from dinotracker classic, didn't have to relearn engram and the dinotracker was still in my inventory. To be sure I crafted a new one.
