I can't get this to work at all, I see its installed, and active on the map I'm playing.

mod is working great 4/27/2024 and I couldn't love it more. I can get all the info about my servers to anyone who joins. highly rec.

It used to be the best mod when it comes to ServerUI's, but now it is broken, so plzzzzzzzzzz fix it.

Does anyone know if the texts you leave in the Tribe section is only visible to people in your tribe? Or is it a global thing?

Does anyone have a button that allows admins to edit notices in the game?
I can't edit the notice because the button to edit the notice is gone.

Anyone else also having a spawn bug while joining a server that has this mod active?
Since a couple of months we can't use the mod anymore because of this.

Players will totally freeze after joining a server in our cluster while this mod is active. Only restarting the game will fix this.

@Gnev_4ubakki you are using ark server manager right? turn it off change the settings turn it on and turn server on :)

Yes it is possible just copy the file that is inside your servers folder at: ShooterGame\Saved\SaveGames\WBUI there is a file named UIAppearance.sav just copy this towards the another servers same location ( make sure the mod is installed and active ) you can just open the file and edit with notepad and change the information of that server ( i just made batch file to copy the UI to my another clustered 10 servers and 1 another mod too so i can update easy )

No matter how I change the settings in the GameUserSettings.ini file, when the server starts, they are reset to the standard. Any changes, links, everything is reset to this

Just to correct some of my previous comments and new findings... \n will work in json for adding page breaks. hosting the file yourself seems to be the easiest way as I couldnt get it to work via Drive nor do I want to pay for dropbox. You dont need "dl" infront of your domain if hosting. still couldnt figure out hosting it locally on the actual server.

Thats .json not .son was a typo in the link, sorry.

For those having trouble with JSON I got it working by just uploading the file to my own webhost EXAMPLE: https://dl.yourhost.com/somefolder/filename.son Note that I changed the www to a "dl" that stands for "download". Also in your json file dont use return key or start a new line as that messes up the json file. If you want to do line breaks in your wording you have to use "\\n" EXAMPLE: "Welcome to my server!\\nIf you like ice cream press F5\\nEnjoy your stay!"

Has anyone figured out how to call the json file when its installed locally? I would prefer to have it on my same box as the server but if not does anyone know how to pull from google drive? I pasted the link as directed and set json to yes but no worky.

I have a problem with the json file.
Primarily I want to save the the json file on my dedicated server, where the ARK servers are installed, too. But I don´t know what I have to do to make the file accessable for the mod. I also didn´t find a working guideline for that in the internet.
Then I tried to upload the app to Google Drive and tried to get the download link working, didn´t work, too.
After that I tried to copy the file to Dropbox, created a download link, renamed it as described in the guideline in Steam, but it also doesn´t work.
The file itself seems to work, because when I open the file link in the browser, I can see the content.
Can somebody help me to get the mod with the json file working?
I want to config the mod via json file and don´t want to do it manually ingame...

If I have the mod on my server it says that it doesn't work or is too old, there are updates for it or you have to activate it beforehand.

Hi,

it seems the http download can lead to problems with other mods which do http requests. It did not before the last update :\ Could you maybe check? We have problems in concert with TCsAR. Both mods do http requests when the server starts and this seems to mess up something.

Jankevin92 This is due to how Unreal Engine works. Any image displayed on the UI must be cooked into the game as an asset, which means it needs to be available when the mod is built.

i mean why would it not be possible with custom backgrounds? can't be too difficult to make it customizable when you've gone this far already.
