Ok, had to reload the game one more time.
It still works :-)

Does this mod still work? Installed and active, but seems not to do anything...?
Agent X Top Secret Nov 22, 2021 @ 6:21am
okay guys this is really the mod if i use a big radius with many dinos we get "client not responding" and andybody ist buggy and u will kicked out of the game :P so i have now a own Levelup area only for the lystro :)
Agent X Top Secret Nov 4, 2021 @ 12:03pm
is it possible that the mod makes my server freezing and get me kicked out by battleye because of not responding? we have 100 dinos with the lystro and even if we have more dinos we get more problems , now i have the lystros far away from my dinos and i have no laggs etc, but i must longer test it before i can clearly say that the mod its the problem. but the mod is great :)

Does this mod work with Aberrant lystrosaurus
Ginger Games Jun 8, 2020 @ 4:38am
Hello, I managed to get the Lystro working.

I would however like to adjust it and increase its range and duration. You mention doing this in the Discussions tab by adding the text into what i assume is the GameUserSettings.ini in the Shootergame>Saved>config>WindowsNoEditor folder. However when editing this file and saving, running the game overwrites this file from somewhere else and my text is removed. Any ideas where i'm going wrong?

Thanks.

How does this work exactly please.. Do I have to edit the ini file for it to work, and if so which .ini, and how do I tell the "new" ones from the old ones?... Thanks.

Weiss einer wo ich die .ini Datei zum Ändern der Einstellungen finde?
Somebody knows where i find the .ini entrys to change settings for this mod?

Great mod, really breathes life back into the Lystro IMO and making it viable to use from early on through end-game as a quick way to level dinos/pets. Couple of questions below if you don't mind:

1.) I'm assuming the value for the buff range parameter configurable within the INI is expressed in in-game meters, is that correct?

2.) I'm also assuming the value for the buff duration parameter configurable within the INI is expressed in real-time seconds, is that correct?

3.) If my 2nd assumption is correct, would adjusting the server's daytime/nighttime length multiplier to increase the day length and shorten the night length alter the buff's length?

4.) Does the 120 second 'out-of-range' buffer apply after the buff duration counter hits 0? I.E 10 minute buff ends and then 120 second 'out-of-range' buffer counts down totaling 12 minutes of buff time.

Thanks for all of your hard work and the ReplaceTames option works well!

"No plans to make the change for Aberrant Lystros at this juncture." Shame to read but thank you for the mod.
Torres Feb 21, 2018 @ 5:58pm
Do I have to destroywilddinos for the new lystro to appear? I play SP
Torres Feb 21, 2018 @ 5:36pm
What does this "ReplaceTames=False" does? I play with just a few friends, will this replace the tamed ones or what?

I got a lot of lystros around the base and I spend a lot of time running in circles petting them. We just wanna add this and extend the range.

No plans to make the change for Aberrant Lystros at this juncture.
stargateMimhi Jan 23, 2018 @ 12:39pm
What? They glow. The name is not what's relevant. Look I'm sorry for getting a bit pushy but I thought it went without saying.
Nobody  [author] Jan 23, 2018 @ 12:33pm
I pushed an update so you can rename the Lystro to Aberrant Lystro. There's no notable change to make it worth doing it any other way.
stargateMimhi Jan 23, 2018 @ 8:50am
I meant would you add the new effects to an aberrant variant, it's out of place to use "vanilla" lystros instead of the ones intended for the map.
Nobody  [author] Jan 23, 2018 @ 7:23am
What 'support' is needed? I don't think there's really much of a difference between aberrant and regular Lystro, but I haven't been playing Aberration so I'm not 100%
If you're just looking for it to spawn on Aberration, just look at Ark server config and do a remap of the aberrant lystro to this one.Class for this one is ImpLystro_Character_BP_C
stargateMimhi Jan 23, 2018 @ 5:40am
Are you going to add support for aberrant lystros? Super interested in adding this to our server.
BaK Aug 7, 2017 @ 12:38am
For me the arrows work fine on all but the lystros themselves. The original ones an arrow would appear above their heads when they are boosting. A little confusing to say the least when i have several of them around my base to cover it all. Cant tell which are boosting and which arent.
Nobody  [author] Jul 31, 2017 @ 9:44pm
Glad it's working for you
beeko2012 Jul 31, 2017 @ 5:19pm
@Nobody - All fixed!!! Thank you... (I know you weren't doing it for me personally, but appreciated all the same) :steamhappy:
beeko2012 Jul 31, 2017 @ 3:44pm
@Nobody - No worries on the fix, like you say, it's only cosmetic. But thank you for taking the time to look into it. At least now I know... thanks again for the mod... (i'll leave you in peace now)
Nobody  [author] Jul 31, 2017 @ 3:23pm
No, it's not something you did, it's a change I made, I can see the issue in single player as well. I'll look at it at some point, however, it's low priority as it's cosmetic, and only effects single player.
beeko2012 Jul 31, 2017 @ 11:40am
@Nobody - I'm playing in single player... (and always have been, so because it worked before and you know it works elsewhere, it leads me to believe I've done something weird at my end... But I don't know where to look in the code to find the anomaly...)
Nobody  [author] Jul 31, 2017 @ 11:31am
What game mode are you running in, single player? Non dedicated host? Dedicated? I don't play, or really develop towards single player, so I haven't tested it recently with that. It's definitely working in dedicated.
beeko2012 Jul 31, 2017 @ 11:08am
@Nobody - Hi... I'm still using the Mod, which works great... ( but even after re-installing, I still have not figured out what i've done to the hud. The yellow xp arrow above dino's heads is missing. With a regular lystro's everything still works as per normal. With a modded lystro, there is no arrow, but you do still get the xp icon in the top right of the screen, when you mount a dino, so it's really strange... I've obviously done something, but I'm not smart enough to figure it out what. Have I dissabled a section of the hud somehow?... I should just leave it, but i know it worked perfectly before and it's bugging me now, I want to fix it, but without the dev kit, i'm back here nagging you, for any potential answers... Is there something that is maybe being forced into a =false, rather than =true, as i install the mod?... idk. - I even did a file check on steam and no joy...) Sorry to be a pain. But have you got any idea's?...
Nobody  [author] Jul 21, 2017 @ 6:51am
Yellow arrow works fine. Just tested that it's working as expected.
beeko2012 Jul 21, 2017 @ 2:57am
@Nobody... Is the bug you speak of, the yellow arrow above the dino's head?... For some reason it doesn't appear anymore. Is it just me? Have i messed something up and need to reload the mod?... (If you have removed it. Is there a way I can turn it on in the ini? I found it very usefull for checking dino's were in range or lost in the wilds)....

@Nobody
Thanks, fool proof and it got me. I feel dumb. Lol!
Nobody  [author] Jul 20, 2017 @ 7:29pm
FYI I noticed a replication bug with the buff description, which I'm working on, so I'll be pushing another update. I'll probably save it for when the ADK comes out though, since it's only cosmetic and no real benefit.
Nobody  [author] Jul 20, 2017 @ 7:28pm
Thanks @Dead :)
It won't hurt to leave them running, but it's not required to do so. Essentially if you leave them on, your server will have a barely noticeable, but slightly slower (around 50-100ms) start time as it scans for vanilla Lystros, to convert them.
Dead Jul 20, 2017 @ 5:48pm
Jesus! You really make some great mods. Didn't even know this existed! Apperently I need to go through your collection.

Got a questions for you, if you don't mind. It wasn't really mentioned if the command lines "ReplaceTames=False and ResetAppliedLevels=False" should be enabled 24/7? Our vanilla tames obviously need shifted into the modded tames, but Im not sure if this should be reading true at all times? Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks.
Gorebane44 Jul 20, 2017 @ 2:41pm
Awesome I just wasnt sure how it worked exactly. I'm loving the mod. I will keep one on my raft for when I go hunting =).
Nobody  [author] Jul 20, 2017 @ 2:23pm
@Gorebane44 - the point is that you keep it with you, I'm not trying to change that, as it's a significant boost to XP gains (even more so since you can change the values with this mod). With that said, I did increase the time from 20 seconds, to 120 seconds, that you can be out of range of the lystro before your boost wears off, and the speed of this Lystro is increased to allow it to stay with you more effectively.

The buff does not stack.
Gorebane44 Jul 15, 2017 @ 9:58pm
I've not really used the Lystrosaurus any due to when it was introduced you had to keep them with you to keep the xp buff up. This made it impossible to use them when hunting rexes and stuff since they moved so slow and die easily. I saw this mod and am curious how exactly does it work. Do I just run my tamed dinos into the buff range for the xpboost and then I can leave the base and the buff will stay for a certain amount of time? If I get multiple Lystrosaurus's will the xp per tick stack making it useful to have several lystros?
Nobody  [author] Jun 24, 2017 @ 7:49am
Very creative @beeoko2012
beeko2012 Jun 24, 2017 @ 7:40am
Have found another great use for this mod... as a pet finder. I'd buffed the range to cover the entire base. But I like to leave the them on wander and found some would wander outside of the fence as it spawned in. So with range increased further still, i'm now able to fly around and check for any stay's... And the best things of all... Zero Lag!... thanks again for this mod. :steamhappy:
Nobody  [author] May 19, 2017 @ 8:37am
Hi Kylaar. For ALL mods on the steam workshop, the mod id is the numbers after ?id= in the URL
In this case, it's 923689156.
Nobody  [author] May 18, 2017 @ 6:20am
Glad you're enjoying it. I'm working on a routine to convert old Lystros, but that's still a work in progress.
beeko2012 May 18, 2017 @ 12:30am
This mod has saved me so much time, works great. I did pump the range and now my sea creatures get a buff too... thank you... (I was stumped for a while, but after taming a new lystro, that lystro worked perfectly)
