Thanks KalinkA. Thats why the map is part of a series. :) I want to prevent creating a map where at some point you are done with portal 2 and just want the map to end and thus not enjoying the rest. So my maps tend to are a bit smaller and quicker so you can decide if you want to play another map or call it a day.

The most I can say is that it was interesting.

@wildgoosespeeder: I hope it was still fun though. :)

This whole map feels like an exploitation just to reach the exit.

Well you can't say fairer than that! Thanks very much. :)

Max Carnage, wow, thats really clever. Nope, thats not the intended solution, but I really like it, so this is going to be an accepted solution :)

Well we'll definitely be playing the rest of your maps! (Actually we've played 3 and really enjoyed it - we marvel at your insidous cranial workings!) Hope these spoiler tags work! Here goes:
one of us simply stood on a cube beneath one of the lasers and alternately switched off each laser wall so the other could make their way through. Then simply carried one of the cubes underneath the laser walls and jumped up, just prior to the flat laser screen, passing up the cube through the final laser wall. It was then a simple matter for the other to alternately switch off the laser walls whilst the other bought the other cube down one of the side sections. If that was the correct way then brilliant.

Hi Max Carnage,

I'd really love to know how you did it though. Note that you can write [] your text [], but without the spaces to put text in a spoiler . I have a feeling you just did the correct way, and possibly some of the people below didn't.

Great to hear that you really liked the level. :) Thats always good to hear. Not to mention this isn't even the best map in this series. :)

I think we might have skipped the actual challenge in the final room with the lasers as it wasn't too difficult - I guess I'd better not say what we did though in case it spoils it for anyone else! Really enjoyed the levels though. Superb!

Hi dmn668. From puzzle 3 and on, they're definitely getting better. The first one has some good puzzles, like this one too, but from 3 and on, I kept it more simple and started to spend time on the design itself so things look more clear and more appealing. :)

Thanks for replying. From your response, it sounds like my friend and I did it the hard way. In which case, we failed to find the best/easiest solution. I won't go into any detail here since I don't want to spoil the puzzle for those who haven't attempted it yet. However, let me just add that we were quite conflicted about whether to give it the thumbs up or down. We really enjoyed the first puzzle in the series and are looking forward to playing more. So, respect and gratitude for taking the time to design and build these rooms.

Hi dmn668. Yeah, I have carefully considered my last puzzle there, and decided to keep it. Figuring out how to get past is the puzzle, but performing it is just a matter of doing it. There are a few ways to do this though, and only one person has to be skilled enough to make it past so (s)he can open the lasers from the other side.

I would say my only problem with this level is that the second part is based more on moving really carefully rather than figuring out a puzzle. Also, if you do screw up and die you have to start again. It's like that jump you have to make in a platformer. You know you have to make the jump but you have to try a hundred times to hit the jump button on just the right pixel. For me, this is not the kind of challenge I enjoy. That said, I sure had a sense of satisfaction when I did finally complete it.

Great that you like it. Yeah, I am aware that the final room might be a bit too hard, and that if one of the two dies, the other has to walk into the center to both get at the beginning again. I've considered changing this, but I heard from several people that its not that bad.

That was really good! Simple but really fucking hard! 9/10 simply because the having to back after one person dying, got so anoying I eventually just spawned one for my mate myself. I'm pretty impatient ^_^
