Yeah there is some change in harmony that means this mod is not compatible with 1.4
Sorry everyone, I will try to fix it when I can
marijn211 May 1, 2023 @ 8:11am
Although it seemt to work fine on 1.3, it seems to break pawn sleep on 1.4
Jigen 鍛冶屋 Apr 25, 2023 @ 5:29pm
This mod froze my pawns needs unfortunately
Akirameta Dec 11, 2022 @ 3:19pm
im having the same exact issue as @Doomchibi, heres my modslist: https://rentry.co/4ubb7
Duncan  [author] Oct 28, 2022 @ 2:31pm
Still works fine for me, could you post your mod list? I have a bunch of mods too so it is compatible with most things.
Doomchibi Oct 24, 2022 @ 4:34am
Not sure if I'm just having some weird mod conflict but this appears to not be working for 1.4, for anyone thinking of testing it. My pawn's hunger just never goes down at all with it
Mlie Sep 11, 2021 @ 1:55pm
Since this mod is reported working in 1.3 I've added it to the No Version Warning-mod
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2599504692
Hope it helps!
Duncan  [author] Aug 21, 2021 @ 5:11pm
Ok thanks for being specific, that helps a lot
Komissar Rudinov Aug 20, 2021 @ 8:36pm
Specifically, pawns who are not malnourished do not become malnourished, but those who are malnourished, even at 0.1%, continue to develop malnutrition.
Duncan  [author] Aug 20, 2021 @ 6:04pm
I don't have a lot of time at the moment but I will look into that as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for reporting it.
Komissar Rudinov Aug 13, 2021 @ 12:57pm
Pawns in cryptosleep still die of malnutrition. I think this is the only mod I'm using that alters malnutrition.
DisKorruptd Aug 2, 2021 @ 5:32pm
if it still works in 1.3, do you think you can update the about XML to include 1.2 and 1.3?
Duncan  [author] Aug 2, 2021 @ 1:51pm
Yes, the more starving they are, the faster they get hungry again. This was partly for the reason you suggested, but also to reduce the imbalance that the mod creates where you could just starve your colonists all the time to save food.
DisKorruptd Aug 2, 2021 @ 1:31am
Question, does starvation increase hunger rate? because that would kinda make sense with this, when you've eaten very little, you'd want to eat a lot more to make up for the missing/lost nutrients and calories
Komissar Rudinov Jul 26, 2021 @ 5:24am
Seems to still work on 1.3
Murden Jul 3, 2021 @ 10:09am
Thanks for this mod, Duncan. This is how vanilla should be.
smerthin flop Nov 30, 2020 @ 9:09am
@Duncan Thanks, Ill give it a shot. I realized how stupid vanilla starvation works after my main pawn was downed by a muffalo, and then my other killed in a raid the same day, and my pawn starved to death because he starved faster than his bruised legs healed so he never was able to get up and get food.
Duncan  [author] Nov 28, 2020 @ 3:11pm
I don't know, it depends if they modified the starving condition. If they did then the effect of starvation will depend on the order of the mods. The mechanism that adjusts the speed of starvation should not be affected though so it will still work, it just might not be balanced the same.
smerthin flop Nov 28, 2020 @ 2:07pm
Is this compatible with diseases overhauled?
Duncan  [author] Aug 23, 2020 @ 2:28pm
Yes it should work fine, I will update the compatibility warning when I have time
i2ID Aug 19, 2020 @ 4:37am
it should work fine for 1.2.
酒铃酒铃酒铃 Aug 19, 2020 @ 1:12am
any plan for 1.2?
Murden Aug 8, 2020 @ 11:52am
@Duncan, thanks for this mod. It makes the game much better.
Duncan  [author] Jul 31, 2020 @ 6:50am
You can use this in a current colony, both installing and uninstalling this mod should have no effect on save files
lilwhitemouse Jul 29, 2020 @ 8:40pm
Probably safe?
DeadlyWolves200 Jul 29, 2020 @ 3:37pm
Can we use this mod in a current colony or do we have to restart?
Duncan  [author] Mar 27, 2020 @ 7:42am
How embarrassing. Thanks for reporting this. I have fixed it in the 1.1 version. I hope that not too many people are using the 1.0 version, or that it is not affected by this issue because I kind of didn't save the code for that so its not trivial to make changes now.
Jdalt40 Mar 21, 2020 @ 11:09pm
Hey Duncan, just letting you know that you miiiight've forgotten to turn off your debug log messages, currently it happens every tick which fills the log with nothing but numbers.
LuigiTheKuk Mar 7, 2020 @ 7:44am
Cheers <3
Duncan  [author] Mar 7, 2020 @ 5:44am
Sorry that was backwards, the vanilla setting would be around 3.0. The higher the number is the faster people starve.
Duncan  [author] Mar 6, 2020 @ 6:57am
It is the default for the mod. Vanilla setting would be around 0.3
LuigiTheKuk Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:00pm
Hiya! In the mod settings, the slider that changes how fast pawn will develop malnutrition has a default of 100% but it's a tad unclear whether that means the vanilla default or the default for this mod. Otherwise many thanks for this mod which has made countless playthroughs more immersive and realistic.
lilwhitemouse Mar 2, 2020 @ 8:58am
Rather, thank you for the mod :)
Duncan  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 8:34am
Ok it should be good now. Please let me know if there are any further issues. Sorry for the inconvenience.
lilwhitemouse Mar 2, 2020 @ 7:46am
All you have to do to keep it compatbile with 1.0 is put your old Assembly in its own 1.0/Assemblies folder :) Unless you want to continue to develop the 1.0 version, in which case it's more complicated.

Oh, yeah, I should specify my big mod has a dependency too. ><
Duncan  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 7:43am
Yeah I want to try and keep it compatible with 1.0 too but I think that is not too difficult. I am pretty sure I have to also make this dependent on the Harmony mod.
lilwhitemouse Mar 2, 2020 @ 7:41am
Probably, all you have to do is get the latest harmony to build against and rebuild your mod?
Duncan  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 7:37am
My apologies to everyone, due to this mod using Harmony, it is also subject to the issues that many other Harmony based mods are facing. I heard about the controversy but didn't realise it affected me until now. What this means is that the mod is not compatible with any other Harmony mods at this time. I will attempt to fix it immediately, wish me luck.

@Kraft ♥ Squad
By "wiped my entire mod list" do you mean that your mods aren't showing? If so then it's probably rimworld acting up since this happened to me. You should delete the Rimworld Workshop folder so steam redownloaded the mods.
Kraft ☢ Squad Feb 29, 2020 @ 1:06pm
This mod wiped my entire mod list !!!
Phowecy Feb 29, 2020 @ 11:53am
When I added this to my game it causes my entire mod list to reset to Core + Royalty, When I restart my game after this happens it turns the screen black as the game attempts to load the UI.

Hopefully this helps, would love to use the mod.
Duncan  [author] Feb 29, 2020 @ 8:56am
Is there a problem with the new version? Could you specify how it is not working?
Cattrina Feb 28, 2020 @ 11:15pm
The old version works, but not this new? Where can I get the old version?
Duncan  [author] Feb 28, 2020 @ 7:01pm
Ok I updated the compatibility. The old version will work fine in any version of Rimworld since this mod was posted, but now it should also not complain about it.

I also finally got around to exporting the settings so you can now tweak the rate at which pawns starve and hunger to suit yourself. There are sliders in the mod settings menu.
Duncan  [author] Feb 27, 2020 @ 2:52pm
There is a good chance it will just work if you ignore the warnings. I will check it and update the config soon
Cattrina Feb 27, 2020 @ 11:50am
1.1?
J/\S0|\|R0S Jan 20, 2020 @ 7:57am
androids definite eat and their diets are weird - saw one consume raw smokeleaf
i2ID Jun 1, 2019 @ 11:36am
yes sorry i completly derped this one. as you say in the description. they convert food to energy, and if they have no food the energy bar is effectivly their malnutrition/ death bar. but it can be charged up as a workbench.
I do not expect this mod to give malnutrition effects on an androids energy bar xD
Duncan  [author] Jun 1, 2019 @ 9:51am
I have not tested the android mod at all. As far as I can tell from the mod description they don't eat, so this mod will have no effect on them. Unless the hunger need is used for their energy recharging in which case anything is possible.

If you end up trying it out please post the results here.
