You're an absolute sadist and I love you.

It's only cutting out a huge chunk of level for the people who play for the fastest possible time. I have played the intended route, and I quite like it in fact. But the intended route is RARELY the fastest way to complete a map. Imo, if the intended route is the fastest way, something is wrong.

oh my god I give up, hahaha
I'll admit, I'm completely baffled you guys are this scrutinizing about finding skips in my map. I thought for sure I'd quarantined off all those segments with the initial upload, but I suppose it's only fair that I remove the killgrids and give people something to compete against. Even if it is cutting out an enormous chunk of the level I'd worked on.

On the plus side, I've taken this upload ((seeing as how it's my first published map)) as a learning experience and at least know what to work toward for the next one ;D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeeNZ_l_XVc Good job. You won't kill the skippers. You'll just make the top times impossible to beat. This is the current fastest route(Its a bad run but it proves my point. Remove the anti skip killgrids plz, it just makes the map worse for the people who play the map that way. Now we have no reason to play it ever again, as we can never beat each other.

Welp with the somewhat interesting skip route gone you simply replaced it with another, longer skip route. Idealy you should just eliminate all the anti skip killgrids and accept that you layed out the track poorly in that regard. Since it is now impossible to beat my previous time I no longer have any reason to play this map anymore.

@MCrekna1Yeah, I didn't expect it to be this super long drawn-out monster of a track, and the times that I have posted are still completely placeholder. I'm trying to get an idea as to what a good average time would be for gold, silver, bronze, etc. I'll probably post an update tonight with times that I think are actually achievable, and completely support any/all suggestions!

..That being said, yeah, you'll have to re-run it after the update tonight if you guys want to place :special:

@Plasmawario oh woah, I didn't actually expect people would play it, haha

Yeah, I'll brighten those up; I've heard similar complaints. One of the biggest gripes I've had though, is that the inverted jumps are too difficult. Anyone else finding that to be the case?
MCrekna1 Mar 31, 2017 @ 3:37pm
I suggest that if you make tweaks to the track they dont add more time to the track as doing so will invalidate times. If anything the track could do to be shorter. 3 minutes is a long track, it would be wize to find out what parts arnt that well designed and cut them.

The track does look very nice, although i do have a couple complaints:
A good portion of the pop-up blockers (mostly in the first half) could use a little more warning, as i found myself crashing into a lot or just barely missing them. Another thing is that the part where the track diverges into 2 paths (the bit shown on the thumbnail) those cooling rings really need to be brightened up as i can barely see them; I spent a bit of time trying to figure out where to go because they were too unnoticable. Other than that i think this is a pretty solid track. Good job on it.
