Should be working again now. I just had to update the mod for 1.16.2 Graveyard of Empires and since I don't play hoi4 that often, I forgot to update the mod.

Not working for me, am I missing anything?

Alright, since you guys want the update so bad that you even started posting instructions to edit your own game files to match the mod (btw, you should also edit DIPLOMACY_FACTION_CIVILWAR_WANTS_HELP), here's the update.

Even though it was a pain in the ass to update the already existing mod, since Paradox or Steam changed the way mods are updated years ago, which is also the reason why I never found the motivation to care about it before.

As far as I know there is no way to prohibit a country from joining a faction, because these things are hard coded so I am not able to change something about that. This Mod just makes it more unlikely for countries who are at war to join factions. Events, decisions or just being at war with a faction and a country that is not in a faction will lead to them joining forces.

If you are playing with the "Death or Dishonor"-DLC YUG has ways to join the allies or axis.

@Energywelder I had the same experiance. Seems to not work as intendet anymore.

Was anything changed in the mod besides the version number? Last i played with this mod, as ITA i attacked YUG and they immediately joined the allies

Not saying this isn't a very important mod, but the issue with this mod is it tries to redefine the defines.lua file, only changing the relevant values, instead of having a custom defines file that only references the lines it changes, so mods relying on their own custom defines tend to get over-written.

Also, no one else is reporting crashes, so . . .

the game crashes when the spanish civil war happens, as well as many other civil wars, mainly when other mods are enabled (they should not conflict)

i also had no issues running this and Road to 56 before the update and now can confirm that Road to 56 and this is causing the crashes, that being said he never said it is or would be compatible with it.
