The mod is very good, but having only this active (plus all DLC) still have crash problems....unfortunately!!! i bought the game on steam so i got last version, hope you can make it more stable, i hate collecting lot of mods and get mad in compatibility

After the summer update, with both this, and the new style, I end up crashing during the middle ages. It's not reproducible at a specific time but as I get to that part of the game it's crashing every 3-5 turns, making the game unplayable.

Hi Ananse, I tried clickin' that cheap-ass version (as I conveniently used to have all DLC until Australia came out), and it says it doesn't exist. Am I not doing something right, or is the link dead?

Ahah yeah we are all familiar with the AI unfortunately. I was just wondering if they understood the mechanic of attaching units :P. I will just give it a try and keep low expactations...if I see an attached unit I will call it a win lol

the AI is terrible at everything...but that's true in the base game as well. If you want a challenge you can try ramping up the difficulty and/or combining with the AI+ mod.

But I'm not a wizard. The AI we were handed by Firaxis couldn't win at Checkers.

Does the AI build/attach the new units too? Or are we the only ones benefitting from the attaching feature?

It seems the austrailan replacement for the slinger doesnt work at intended. it always ends its actions after attacking making it unable to attack twice. when auxiliary archer and a normal archer are linked if one of them attacks it removes the action of the other requiring you to unlink before attacking each time.

Along those same lines, my last game I could build a pasture on any flat land and can no longer build them except on resources. I really enjoyed that feature but it looks like vanilla is resource only. Was this dropped in the mod or is there a way to bring back it back?

Hey, want to say I've been addicted to your mod for over a week now ... but this I just found: I am Australia and it is 800 BC and I can build Commando's (Str 95 unit). I'd like to keep playing this game, so I will not take advantage of the exploit, but perhaps other Civ's in this game have it too, which if I'm faced with an Atomic era unit in war will be a shame.

Well, the load menu recognized that build as valid and loaded into the game without any of the usual "kicked back to main menu" after launching into the game.

I and Monty thank you, sir. You shall avoid your builder fate in this Aztec empire ;)

Ananse, you don't happen to have the build that was available just prior to this update around?
Was considering the workaround of unsub'ing from this temporarially, and manually "installing" the pack into the Mods dir in appdata to get around the broken save issue.
I really hate to think I lost 10 hours of progress because I chose Epic speed to savor each era's changes.

hmm, apparently that used to be a feature on steam but they got rid of it. You could try setting it to only autoupdate between 3PM and 3PM and see if that does 0 hours or 24 hours, if you know what I mean.

But I kind of suspect that under the way Steam works now you would have to update to be able to even play the game. The best solution seems to be that I just won't update that frequently. Unfortunately everything these days needs to be part of the cloud and connected to a server to eve play the game. Civ VI doesn't even have an offline mode it seems.

Excuse my ignorance, just want to make sure I don't lose my current game each Wednesday if I continue to use this mod. The options for updates are (Always,On Launch, and High Priority). I don't see a way to stop updates until I finish the current game unless I'm looking in the wrong place. Googled it and didn't find.

Unless there are stability issues I don't think I'll be updating this one for a while! Every Wednesday is too often. If it's stable I won't touch it again til April.

also it wasn't the name change that broke the game, it was code changes. the name change is purely cosmetic and I wouldn't fuck up your game ovver something like that

You can tell your Steam not to update while you still have a game going. Other than that there's nothing I can do on my end to prevent it. This patch was a long time coming - it contains fixes to two major issues (Military Academy crash and frontier fort dysfunctionality) both of which have been paining me to even wait this long.

TLDR; set your steam to update manually while you have a long game in progress!

Because of the name change it broke my save game. I can no longer load games I was playing. I understand you said this would happen on Wednesday's but it usually takes me awhile to play through an epic game.

Does this mean every Wednesday I'll have to start over, I can't finish my current games? Is there anyway we can have access to the older version to finish games?

new leaders should all be fine. Better water tiles might make water OP when combiend with changes here but maybe not

@alexanderyou get one of the better water tile modpacks. Makes Harbors OP. I have a rather successful 2-tile island city, consisting of a Fishery, a Harbor, a Boardwalk, and a missle silo. Food provided solely from two fish and a crab tile.
