Alternatively you can comment out the lines that refer to content don't have (yet) from the XML files.

You need *all* DLC. Please check if you have everything including other bonus content like Julius Caesar.

I get an error loading content popup when I try to start a new game with this mod on Steam Deck. Other mods work just fine. I do have Caesar enabled.

In my case, mod failed to load, because I didn't have the Julius Caesar leader. You need to link your civ to 2K account to get it. Mine was already linked, so I had to unlink and relink it.

Alternatively, you can remove the trait in the mod config files. Go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\870835553\Data\BAU.xml
remove this line:

No, it definitely does not work with other mods that change gameplay. It's also only tested to work with the default game mode (no Secret Societies/Dramatic Ages/Heroes/etc), although it may work with some. YMMV.

@juorillaco: You can disable the Babylon trait by editing the file steamapps\workshop\content\289070\870835553\Data\BAU.xml

and removing or commenting out the line

Hi, Great MOD.
Yeah, its seems incompatible with Heroes and Legends mode, and also Dramatic Ages mode.
Btw, I made a Japanese translation for this mod, not used to creating mods so I couldn't make it work besides overwriting the english config.xml (just making a ja_JP folder doesn't work somehow.)

There appears to be an incompatibility with Heroes and Legends mode. Based on the log, it might have something to do with the Adventures of Enkidu trait.

I'm trying to apply this mod to a 3rd party civ, but the new mashup districts/buildings dont have any sort of graphic (most importantly map graphics). Any tips? I copied Buildings.artdef and Districts.artdef from the mod directly and added them to .modinfo, but that only helps bringing up the description for them.

I'll update it for the patch soon, they've also made some changes to buildings so I'll have to make sure everything is up to date. In the meantime, you can get back the Babylon eurekas by uncommenting line 94 of BAU.xml:

Thanks for all your work on this. Wondering if you're planning on updating after yesterdays update? They made a lot of balance changes.

Personally, I'd also like a version that includes Babylon's Eureka ability but I dont know if thats possible or not. Tried just pasting it into this mod but it broke it.

To make the mod compatible with Heroes, you need to replace the ENKIDU trait with the GILGAMESH_HEROES one in the BAU xml.

@Gennem I haven't tested this much with non-standard game modes. I know it doesn't like the Dramatic Ages mode because of Georgia. I'll look into it.

so babylon's free building only works on preserve, diplomatic quarter, and aerodrome?
and basically the "Hammurabi" file does nothing?

@joffrecordan You can end turn normally, but you'd have 0 policies in place. I've added a dummy policy so the player doesn't miss out on policy bonuses for the first few turns.

Don't forget to add MAGNANIMOUS and AMAZON abilities in place of your civ/leader, or else you won't benefit from Brazil/Pedro's native abilities.

@Chiphead, you can also shift-enter to end a turn with fewer policy cards. On reddit, it seemed like that policy issue was a problem in vanilla as well, so a fix from Firaxis should be forthcoming anyway.

@BlindIdiotGod Thanks for the info! So all you did was edit the BAU.xml file, replace PEDRO with your leader name of choice, AMAZON with the culture name of choice and BRAZIL with the civ name of choice and then remove the "duplicates" for your chosen Civ? Or did you have to do anything else?

Oh, and Kublai's extra economic policy means you can't have any policy cards active until you get sufficient cards from Craftsmanship or Foreign Trade. I'm working on a workaround.

As for the Kublai/Vietnam update, it's coming soon. I haven't been able to get the district terrain bonuses to kick in. Babylon's cheapest building free when building a district for the first time now works -- for the preserve; no luck on the unique districts. The encampment replacement gets +2 culture for adjacent districts and doesn't need population. New version should be up before the weekend.
