@Kinsect back in the day we worked really hard to make all mods compatible with each other. In some cases, even collaborations arose; like small line of code which would allow the other 'slime like race' (ooze) use things our slime race could for example.

I saw that the description says that Only the slime and ooze races can craft the Biochemist Table

admittedly I would like to make a remake of the slime race someday but if I do it would look to similar to the main mod here ^^;;

@Kinsect Expansion can be made as a standalone addon, you can still look into existing resources and add more though

or even port stuff from FU to the base/OpenStarbound (or as standalone mods) game like villages, codex, dungeons, and improvements ^^;;

@Kinsect there is a retexture/color mod which is linked via missing photo on description. Also I'm sorry, I'm not the only author and there were a-lot of other people contributing to the mod, in which some have not been online for a long time. I can't just offer it as open source without their consent. FU integration was allowed a while ago though.

Bit of a longshot but do you have any idea how one would access and unsubscribe from the old slime race mod? I was scrolling the workshop today, found this mod, and somehow wasn't subscribed to it despite currently playing a slime character with the ship and techs and everything. I'm assuming that means I have the old outdated version, but it doesn't appear in my subscribed items and the link in this page doesn't work.

Totally understand if you can't help, I just figured this would be the place to ask.

@ramhane I kinda took over this mod from xel; i haven't really payed attention to what he did before hand or checked the coxed; as i've said; i only gotten started with changing the text ingame as i started to get bored of it. However if in future I will have to fix any of the bugs in the mod; I could add that too.

I think it's a shame that the codex says "Lore to be thought up eventually. Sorry." even though the history is properly written on this page. I don't care about the dialog because it's too difficult.

@ramhane Last content update I did for this mod was on 8 Jun, 2017. There was plenty of agenda what to do; I just didn't get to it yet and mod was pretty much 'abandoned' since I lost interest in starbound and it's on support only mode to keep it up to date. Dialogs and codex information are barely touched upon.

Fair enough. I just enjoy the extra flavor that comes with the dialogue, as opposed to the characters just reading off the item descriptions.

@DeadAndDone there's few custom scan dialogs already added, however due to lost interest in Starbound I have stopped development of this mod quite a few years ago; If I ever get back into it, I will of course be adding those too. But I will not make any promises.

@BlaXun only for slimes and only T1 and T2, you can craft race specific armor in those tiers at biochemic table. Rest should be avalible.

I think this error is caused by the slimeleech.animation file missing the following:
"sounds" : {
"bolt" : LEFTBRACKET "/sfx/projectiles/electric_barrier_shock1.ogg" RIGHTBRACKET
}

I apologize, I couldn't get Steam to not parse the square brackets.

Hey, I'm trying to build my own slimy ship with the BYOS megapatch, how can I place the slime tentacle booster "flames"? I can't seem to get one to place no matter how much space i give it.

@Roxy the Cute Ookami~💝 some mods do tend to corrupt save files and requires delete of world save files once uninstalled; usually happens to game hosts. If Slime race mod is uninstalled; it will cause a one time crash if shoats are present on the planet; however, re-start of a save will delete all the shoats and you can keep on playing; I tried to design it to be as minimally invasive to client as possible for such a large scale mod. Seperatly tested all the updates of this mod for all the crashes/compatibilities with uninstalls and to work with other mods of that era, I spent more time crash testing this dummy than actually designing stuff for it.

Now it works perfectly fine for him and he says that all he did was uninstall and reinstall the game and the workshop items.
