@Lord Linda - Indeed the developers would need to make some changes to the game for this feature. I would like it to happen too
Lord Linda Sep 19 @ 3:00pm
dang unfortunately this mod doesnt add the road joint sound to bridges. that might be more of a map issue so those sound cues are triggered at the right point. but this game has always been missing road joint sounds. maybe the devs will fix it some day
Drive Safely  [author] Sep 15 @ 6:31pm
@PNGamer - I need some steps to reliably reproduce the noise on my end: which truck, which engine used, etc.
PNGamer Sep 15 @ 11:53am
I have the popping noise as well. I just noticed it. I took it out and it is not doing it anymore.
kanth_f1 Sep 15 @ 8:25am
@Spaced Out: I believe the priority of this mod should only be higher than map mods, rain sound mods and AI traffic mods as that's what it says as minimum requirements, any other mods should be above I believe.
Drive Safely  [author] Sep 15 @ 2:03am
@Spaced Out - I'll keep a lookout for anyone else experiencing this issue, but it sounds like your issue is potentially from your truck, maybe the exhaust sound. My mod does not modify the exhaust sounds of the player truck
Spaced Out Sep 14 @ 9:09pm
I forgot you can't edit comments so I'll just add another, please forgive as this isn't really helpful. I'm not sure if its my speakers or how the games sound works or what, but it seems like the popping is related to the loud truck sounds similar to simply playing base outside of the speakers limit. It's odd cause I'm pretty sure my speakers shouldn't be sounding like that, they can handle loud base in other games. Whatever, not the biggest deal and I'm not savy enough to fix it assuming '"it" is a problem to begin with.
Spaced Out Sep 14 @ 7:57pm
I'm getting a crackling sound quite often when i have this mod activated and it's priority the highest. I don't want to blame your mod just yet, it could be some issue on my end but figured I'd mention it just incase someone else is having an issue. If i find out the cause I'll update this comment to let you know whats up.

@DJ_Autonomous - Thanks for trying it out :)
DJ_Autonomous Sep 11 @ 1:13pm
Love this. side note, wish some sounds were a bit more intense, but i guess it's nice to not blow out my ears driving over a rubble strip. everything else is perfect, thank you!
Sanguinem Luna Sep 7 @ 4:06pm
Dang... Oh well, maybe in the future SCS will add something it could be tied to or will add it themselves. Thank you for taking the time to hear me out and discuss this. Until we next meet when I have another idea, lol! Take care!
Drive Safely  [author] Sep 7 @ 3:41pm
@Sanguinem Luna - Just wheel wear for the brake squeaking sounds :hittheroad:
Sanguinem Luna Sep 7 @ 3:30pm
Thank you, I lurk around and comment rarely. Hope you're doing well! I should've lead with that, lol. And dang, that sucks. Are there any other parts of the truck with sound-related wear or is it just wheels? Chassis was just a suggestion as it would've made some sense since the parts that would cause the problem are usually attached to the chassis.

Maybe body (now that I say it, I don't think body wear has any related sounds) or engine wear would work better? Engine makes way more sense now that I think about it, lol. I know when the engine is damaged it has sounds related to the damage value, but I don't know if any sounds are there for the wear value of the engine.
Drive Safely  [author] Sep 7 @ 2:16pm
@Sanguinem Luna - Nice to see you again and thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, there is no chassis wear parameter for sounds that my mod can access
Sanguinem Luna Sep 7 @ 8:28am
Hey DriveSafely, I just had an idea, not sure if it's possible via this mod. The idea is to increase the frequency of certain sounds based on vehicle wear. I was doom-scrolling YouTube Shorts last night and came across a short of an owner/operator doing work on his truck. His truck was purging air more frequently than it should be (every 2-3 minutes). Investigating the issue, he found he had air leaks on a few air lines and the purge valve on the... compressor/air drier/some part of the air system (I don't know exactly what) was also leaking.

So, the idea is that if your truck (maybe chassis wear specifically) is over say 20% or more wear, you start getting air purging more frequently. Here's the short: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KDBroHd8C9s I hope its possible to do, but I understand if not. Either way, keep up the great work!

@capitan Shkwarka - Thank you so much :D
capitan Shkwarka Sep 3 @ 3:51pm
Mr Drive Safely, huge respects for your creation. A completely different level of immersion in the game thanks to your talent! Good luck and inspiration in your endeavors

@country_living - Here is a video with the current rain sound in the mod. Would you care to point out a timestamp when it sounds like fire crackling?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_i2_kCUvck
country_living Sep 3 @ 11:25am
The rain sounds horrible on the truck. Sounds more like a fire crackling then rain and no its not my speakers they are fine
Drive Safely  [author] Sep 1 @ 4:14pm
With v25.38 I've got all the sounds back on track now with the dynamic log loading/unloading for 1.56. It should be working fine now
Drive Safely  [author] Aug 28 @ 5:49pm
@likzzzz - No worries :)
likzzzz Aug 28 @ 5:49pm
I needed to unsubscribe and resubscribe to get it to work. Seems to work on all versions now. Thanks for the quick updates!
Drive Safely  [author] Aug 28 @ 5:45pm
@likzzzz - You should see v25.36 in the mod image if you're on the stable release of 1.55.2. The default branch is "None" not the temporary for incompatible mods when selecting the Beta participation
likzzzz Aug 28 @ 5:35pm
Heads up, this now no longer works on 1.55 for incompatible mods anymore. Need to be on 1.56.
Humpfester Aug 27 @ 5:17pm
Thank you Drive Safely , I really appreciate your understanding and dedication.
Drive Safely  [author] Aug 27 @ 4:07pm
:letsgo: 1.56 compatibility has been added! The log loading and unloading sound is missing temporarily, but it will be added back as soon as it's possible.

@Humpfester - It's caused by a standalone air horn accessory being absent on your truck. It can be remedied, but now you don't have to since I've updated the mod only a few hours after your comment :)
Humpfester Aug 27 @ 12:24pm
Just a heads up, getting this error in the OB 1.56 " <ERROR> Unable to find addon hookup (sound_fixes.train.addon_hookup)" even in Safe Mode.
Lockheed Martin™ Aug 15 @ 5:03pm
you are a genius, thank you!
Drive Safely  [author] Aug 15 @ 5:00pm
@Lockheed Martin™ - In the settings for Keys and Buttons, there is a separate key/button for the air horn. You might have been using the regular city horn
Lockheed Martin™ Aug 15 @ 4:43pm
hi thanks for the response, I have tried both of these things but im still getting the default horn sounds. any other ideas why? I dont believe I have any other horn mods
Drive Safely  [author] Aug 15 @ 4:14pm
@Lockheed Martin™ - If you're trying to get the standalone air horn sounds, they're available in the Service Shop as an accessory. Either you can install it through the horn adapter accessory, or under the frame through the steering wheel knob accessory :steerme: :)
Lockheed Martin™ Aug 15 @ 1:37pm
I have no new horn sounds, how do I fix this?
Drive Safely  [author] Aug 12 @ 6:22pm
@satan.ipod - I'm glad you like it! :) Plane take off and landing sound is technically not feasible at the moment due to the sound emitter in the game not being attached to the plane. Only for planes not taking off and landing it is feasible
satan.ipod Aug 12 @ 6:05pm
Thanks for your so excellent mod. The first essential for me. May i put your attention to Great Falls airport at montana. Many plane take off with no sound.
Best regards
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 31 @ 3:14am
@arsenio.c70 - I wouldn't describe it as a "squeal" - you should confirm first on whether the wiper sound is coming from a different mod you have enabled.

My mod modifies the fallback/default wiper sound effect, which you can hear in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_i2_kCUvck
arsenio.c70 Jul 31 @ 1:46am
Hi, it's possible to eliminate the noise of the windshield wipers, it's really annoying.
I was fascinated by this mod until that awful squeal arrived.
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 27 @ 3:17am
@Azuirele - You're welcome. :) It's nice to see those AI traffic cars game ready
Azuirele Jul 27 @ 2:54am
@Drive Safely Thanks a lot for the additional sound support for new AI from my mod. Cheers :steamhappy:
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 26 @ 4:10pm
@Atheism - Green boxes can only happen in Convoys allowing optional mods.

It has nothing to do with AI traffic colors as far as I'm aware. I include the standard colors as fallbacks.

Each player should be able to see the same AI traffic vehicles
Atheism Jul 26 @ 12:47pm
Hi, I would like to use this mod but at the end of the features list you say it also changes ai traffic colors? I can't use this mod if it's going to show a bunch of green boxes to people who aren't also using the mod. Would be nice if it just stuck to sound elements.
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 25 @ 3:37pm
@Ofenys - Teşekkür ederim
Ofenys Jul 25 @ 8:16am
trafiğe dorsesiz tırlar eklemesini beğendim
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 23 @ 3:06pm
@Irrer mit Plan - Thank you so much! :D I'm happy to hear that
Irrer mit Plan Jul 23 @ 11:05am
This Mod is really 10/5 Stars. Love it. makes the game sooooo much better
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 17 @ 5:47pm
@HEX: JUICER @Blindside - Another reason players may not be able to join the Convoy is if they haven't accepted the terms for joining Convoys (it's a dialog box that shows up when opening the Convoy browser). Again not my fault, but poor error communication from the user interface. I didn't design that, so don't direct your blame to me
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 17 @ 5:28pm
@HEX: JUICER @Blindside - It has not "broken" Convoy multiplayer. I can use it in Convoy just fine because it's supported for Convoy multiplayer.

Like what Dragon32 said, what most likely happened is someone was using a different version of the mod in Convoy. When downtime is forgotten for your Convoy sessions to update mods, this is the sort of thing that eventually happens.

If you don't want version mismatch errors, the mod also works for Convoy sessions with the optional mod setting enabled, and the Sound Fixes Pack supports this setting. So when there's already solutions you can't blame me for updating.

Also, how could I know when your convoy was scheduled? You didn't inform me beforehand. You didn't complain about this to me previously, and that's because I don't always update at the same hour, therefore the same time zones on the planet are not inconvenienced by an update too many times
Dragon32 Jul 17 @ 4:05pm
@Blindside
Maybe learn to use copies of mods installed locally rather than those from the Workshop? Then everyone will be in control of which version is used and can synchronise.
Blindside Jul 17 @ 3:23pm
Thank you for updating your mod it completely broke my convoy and took me hours to fix. Take this shit off the Workshop.
HEX: JUICER Jul 17 @ 3:23pm
Doesnt work anymore. Broke convoy. Removed it and it fixed lmao
Drive Safely  [author] Jul 15 @ 6:14pm
@pkadia01 - The game doesn't currently differentiate between concrete and asphalt in terms of sound, unfortunately :hittheroad:
