@LarryA - Awesome to hear that, thank you! :)

Thank you for the link settings and detailed explanations.
Added the Previous Soundproofing. Fantastic Mod.

I appreciate all of the help. Thank You.

Base the sound pack on RLE 1974 359 Peterbilt.

Extremely Happy with the sounds. Put a Huge Smile on this old mans face. :steamhappy:

Have A Great Day

@LarryA - Thanks so much! I haven't made any recent changes to the recommended audio settings, but if you want to revise them you can take a look here: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/830663438/2245553353022119805/

Have a nice day :)

Have a couple of questions. Please & Thank You.

Has the sound settings changed in the recommended sound settings?
Other sound files. No

Delivering a load in Lousiana or Texas in Galveston forget the exact location older than rocks. I heard a kitty cat go Meow Meow, Music in the cafe.

Amazing sound pack.

Have A Great Day

But i still don t really understand why your mod creating/activating additional sound points in the rivers, if you say that it depends on map creator.
Darth Drekk Dec 15 @ 8:34pm
That explains a lot :caster_happy:
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 15 @ 8:30pm
@Darth Drekk - I looked at another context where this "elements/river big 1" sound is used (the one from your coordinates), and it's used at the big Grand Coulee Dam in Washington. That's why it sounds bigger.

So it seems like the mapper's fault for not choosing one of the smaller river sound options for the smaller rapids in Winterland. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For instance, "elements/river middle 1" and "elements/river small 1" are available as alternatives
Darth Drekk Dec 15 @ 8:13pm
Well, maybe not 100, maybe around 50 when you drive on the bridge. But anyway it sounds like you are driving straight through Niagara Falls, not at the distance from some tiny rapids)
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 15 @ 8:03pm
@Darth Drekk - It's different in sound volume at 100 meters away from the coordinates you posted
Darth Drekk Dec 15 @ 8:00pm
I got your point, but it should work only with "common" river sound. It is kinda illogical when you can hear river rapids sample from 100m away with same volume as if you are staying right on it. You should hear it much more quiet or not hear it at all
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 15 @ 7:05pm
@Darth Drekk - No worries. It all depends on how it's set up by who made the map.

Each sound has a limited radius and it's not unusual for mappers to add more sound points to different segments of a river so the sound isn't limited to one portion of the river
Darth Drekk Dec 15 @ 6:22pm
Wow, that s a really fast response, thanks

After some testing i think the problem is not even in sound volume. For example in the original game the sound of the river rapids came from the one exact point. Something near -158936;6.50667;124707;-0.204415;-0.00943071. But in your mod it seems like there are many these "sound points" with same sound sample all the way to the bridge. Something similar happens down the same river and on louisiana ferry.
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 15 @ 5:08pm
@Darth Drekk - Thanks so much for the feedback. :)

I've now uploaded the fixes for this. Sorry for the long wait. There were some other nitpicks I wanted to deal with in the update too
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 15 @ 1:58pm
@Darth Drekk - I am working on it
Darth Drekk Dec 15 @ 11:58am
*from the third person view mostly, and cutscenes
Darth Drekk Dec 15 @ 9:39am
Hello. Can you make a waterfall/river rapids sounds a little quieter? Because some places like Louisiana ferry and Winterland waterfall are incredibly loud, thanks.
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 11 @ 3:09pm
@Plainolalex - Thank you so much for the kind words :)
Plainolalex Dec 10 @ 2:32pm
@dr ivesafely thank you so much for your hyard work over all these yyears. this mod has nhanced my life gameplay and is the best in ats and ets2
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 10 @ 12:56am
@Plainolalex - Thank you! This error is the same thing that Gl00ria commented about just before yours.

If you have the Better Flares Traffic Addon (v4.6.6), you can give it a lower priority in the Mod Manager than the Sound Fixes Pack to get the new soundref until the next mod update comes
Plainolalex Dec 9 @ 11:59pm
read_only mode.

01:43:37.980 : <ERROR> [sound] Failed to initialize sound '/sound_fixes_pack/traffic/ford/f_150_p702_2024.soundref'.

lOVE THSI MOD NEVER HAD A CRASH DUE TO IT. WOULD YOU CHECK THIS OUT PLEASE
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 9 @ 10:08pm
@Gl00ria - Hmm that's strange, as I don't have that issue using that load order
Gl00ria Dec 9 @ 5:35pm
@Drive Safely, thank you for the response.

having Better Flares with lower priority will prevent the AI from spawning. I guess will live with it for the time being until Avil pushes an update.
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 9 @ 5:09pm
@Gl00ria - You can put Better Flares with lower priority in the Mod Manager to resolve the error for now
Gl00ria Dec 9 @ 7:05am
Hello, I am having issue with the mod. Not sure if it is this mod or Better Flares mod.

game log:
<ERROR> [fs] Failed to open file '/sound_fixes_pack/traffic/ford/f_150_p702_2024.soundref' in the read_only mode.
<ERROR> [sound] Cannot open sound configuration file /sound_fixes_pack/traffic/ford/f_150_p702_2024.soundref
<ERROR> [sound] Failed to initialize sound '/sound_fixes_pack/traffic/ford/f_150_p702_2024.soundref'.

Thank you
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 5 @ 9:46pm
@LarryA - Cheers! There has been a lot of effort put into it for sure. That's why I greatly appreciate your comment :)
LarryA Dec 5 @ 9:30pm
Drive Safely Thank You for all of the hard work & effort developing the Sound Fix Pack.

Have A Grate Day
Drive Safely  [author] Dec 2 @ 6:24pm
@r8wang1521 - Thunder sounds are improved in the Sound Fixes Pack. This work would be overwritten if the Brutal Graphics and Weather mod has higher priority in the load order
r8wang1521 Dec 2 @ 5:57pm
Is it compatible with Brutal Graphics and Weather thunder sound?
dsteve59 Nov 28 @ 3:33pm
ty sir, always a pleasure
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 28 @ 2:38pm
@dsteve59 - These soundrefs are working on my end without errors. Try giving the Sound Fixes Pack higher priority than other mods in the Mod Manager.

At the moment this kind of error with v25.58 would suggest another mod is replacing my rain sound work
dsteve59 Nov 28 @ 1:51pm
<ERROR> [sound] Failed to initialize sound '/sound_fixes_pack/traffic/trailers/aluminium.soundref'.

<ERROR> [sound] Failed to initialize sound '/sound_fixes_pack/traffic/trailers/speedboat_tarp.soundref'.

I'm not running any other sound mods.
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 25 @ 4:23pm
@dodgeboy121 - Glad you figured it out! Have a good one :)
dodgeboy121 Nov 25 @ 12:02am
i figured this out... i use BETTER FLARES... and 1 it was not updated from 1.56 to 1.57 ... i did that and realized it also said it requires sound fixes now... because without sound fixes... traffic will not spawn.
dodgeboy121 Nov 24 @ 11:10pm
i am having a very strange issue with this mod... i just had to disable my entire mod list to find the problem... when this mod is installed in my load order i get pink vehicles... when i disable this mod there are no vehicles at all... anywhere... only me...
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 23 @ 7:40pm
@Kyle - You're welcome!

@baseballallsta2005 - Thanks!
Kyle Nov 23 @ 7:37pm
thanks for 1.57
baseballallsta2005 Nov 20 @ 2:44pm
Yeah I’ve lost the tire sounds for like gravel, that crunch/crackle sound you get and I’m too lazy to go through each mod to find the culprit lol. I haven’t noticed any of the other sound features missing. Great mod as always though!
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 19 @ 6:25pm
@TimmyBigTime - That's interesting. It's a tricky one since Realistic Brutal Graphics and Weather does have sound features and affects sound, but some players may not think of it as a mod that does more than graphics and weather changes
TimmyBigTime Nov 19 @ 5:54pm
For those having sound issues after 1.57, I know this sounds crazy (no pun intended) but if you're using a weather/graphics mod that may be the culprit. I've been a religious user of the Realistic Brutal Graphics and Weather mod for quite a while, now, and I found a few issues after ATS updates. Once, my turn signals stop making sound. Once, the railroad crossing lights stopped flashing, and when Iowa dropped all the traffic in Iowa was moving at a slower KPH pace rather than the posted MPH and I kept getting tickets. All these bugs got fixed, but it was a pain in the a$$ to remove each mod one by one to figure out the issue. Now, whenever I have mod issue I go to that mod first just to be sure. It's a great mod, though!
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 18 @ 11:40am
@NbaYoungBoyGlock - Thanks! Take a note of where the blinker sounds are not working in case of a bug. If the problem goes away after a Quick Travel to somewhere else, it may be a location specific bug. On my end I have not lost these sounds.

@java - Not from this mod, so I guess it's a sound mod for a specific truck model.

@delboyspencer YNWA JFT97 - Thank you so much! :)
NbaYoungBoyGlock Nov 18 @ 9:15am
great mod but i lost my blinker sounds
java Nov 18 @ 6:32am
I have a really, really dumb question.

I am trying to chase down why my shifter sounds are gone.
Was this mod adding the really lovely clicky-clacky gear shifting sounds?
delboyspencer YNWA JFT97 Nov 18 @ 4:57am
It's amazing that after all these years, this mod still gets updated...good job
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 10 @ 12:26pm
@breadpain - Thank you! :)
breadpain Nov 10 @ 6:17am
Wow, I actually didn't expect that. Top notch work my friend!
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 9 @ 7:00pm
@breadpain - Thanks for reporting! That detail helped me to narrow it down.

It is a big deal for a mod with this title. I've uploaded a fix for the issue and backported it to the 1.56 game version as well :greasemonkey:
breadpain Nov 9 @ 5:56pm
If you cross any bridge that has a small brook/stream, you'll hear it. I don't seem to hear it with large rivers or bodies of water. It's not a big deal, but it's not realistic either.
Drive Safely  [author] Nov 8 @ 12:35pm
@breadpain - Thank you. May you please provide coordinates for these nitpicks? I might be able to experiment with possible fixes for the issue in 1.57
breadpain Nov 8 @ 6:24am
This mod has always been a must have for me. I'm thinking this particular nitpick is not caused by this mod, but when driving over a river and you can actually hear the trickling of the water is quite ridiculously silly(same as hearing animal sounds). I can understand parking next to a river, rolling down your window and turning off the truck would make sense. Just an observation. I get they want to splash the game with cool stuff, but it's a bit immersion breaking. Again, I'm nitpicking a great game. Great mod btw.
Penumbra1979 Oct 17 @ 10:24pm
@Red Wolf
Cool your jets dude, I wasn't complaining, I was reporting, there is a difference.
@Drive Safely
Yes, I am using that mod, so it's likely that. Thanks.
