@DogHouse28 - Glad to be of assistance. Have a good one! :steerme:
DogHouse28 May 25 @ 4:30pm
OK, thanks for that, Set game volume 100%, eternal engine, exhaust, turbo, effects 85% and internal volume 30%. final mix down on monitor system. Wonky hearing, like the rest of me, crumbling to bits. Don't drive in real life no more, so I wouldn't miss this for the world:steamhappy:

@DogHouse28 - The sound volume of the indicator sound is configurable with the Interior sounds volume slider in the Audio Settings
DogHouse28 May 25 @ 1:39pm
I'm A bit long in the tooth now,and I only have partial hearing in my right ear, augmented with a hearing aid (right ear tinnitus sounds like I got the cab window open at 65 mph) The aid boosts frequencies 1500 to 5000 khz. Makes the in cab indicator "tock tick" too loud for me. Is there a volume adjustment for it some where?

@Mr Demon Gamer - I already consider that for convoys. We've been through over 100 days of 2025 and I have not updated the mod even close to that amount this year.

Furthermore if you allow optional mods on your dedicated server it's not a pain at all, since there shouldn't be a version match check in that case
Mr Demon Gamer May 25 @ 4:33am
Can you stop updating every day please because it's a pain for the convoy and dedicated server
Drive Safely  [author] May 15 @ 2:47pm
@shimsham29 - It would be a cool effect but the game's master mixer would have to be changed, and mods currently can't edit that on the fly. :(

Potentially it can work with pre-recorded music but that would be missing the point of listening to the live radio
shimsham29 May 15 @ 11:27am
Someone last week at the trucksim subreddit asked if there is a mod that could make the in-game radio sound more like it is coming from the truck, kind of like how your nav voices are. I don't know if this is even possible but if it is, I figure you're the person who could do it and that it'd probably be a neat immersive addition to the game.

@Plainolalex - No errors found on my end. You likely have a different tire sound mod in use :hittheroad:
Plainolalex May 13 @ 8:59pm
getting sound ref errors on rumble strip and few others.

Thank God my daily prayers at bedtime were answered; that's finally been changed. I haven't been playing the new patch yet, but from what I'm reading, the upcoming patch v25.18 for ATS is coming. All I can say is, train brakes. I'm excited.

But thanks anyway, @DriveSafely
Legendkiller456 May 9 @ 6:23pm
Gotcha, thank you!
Drive Safely  [author] May 9 @ 6:22pm
@Legendkiller456 - It is designed to be safely removable and not damaging, in that you don't need to revert to prior saves.

In the case you forget to remove custom air horn accessories on the truck before choosing to remove the mod, you can just put a stock accessory in its place without needing to lose progress
Red Wolf May 9 @ 5:57pm
it's mod. it won't mess with anything. you take it out, you'll hear the stock sounds
Legendkiller456 May 9 @ 5:47pm
This attaches to the save file right? I want to try this, but don't want to mess up the profile if I choose to remove it. I assume I can safely remove and revert back to a prior save before I added it?
Elson May 5 @ 11:36pm
Thanks for updating!
Drive Safely  [author] May 2 @ 3:19pm
@Isaiah53six - Happy to hear you noticed that detail! Yes if there's a dog in the vicinity, they will respond to your horns sometimes :)
Isaiah53six May 2 @ 2:58pm
so I was trying out a new horn and heard a dog barking... and a dog. I am speechless. Amazing work.
Drive Safely  [author] May 2 @ 1:08am
@Isaiah53six - You're most welcome, thanks for trying it out :)
Isaiah53six May 2 @ 12:49am
@Drive Safely excellent and essential mod. Thank you for sharing it.
Drive Safely  [author] May 1 @ 11:06pm
@Isaiah53six - :D Enjoy!
Isaiah53six May 1 @ 11:04pm
should be part of vanilla game
xavie Apr 18 @ 6:28pm
works great! thank you so much for the swift reply :) amazing contribution to the modding scene of ATS
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 18 @ 5:11pm
@xavie - Thank you! Did you disable it from the voice navigation options in the Audio Settings? It will eventually stop after that's done. Otherwise exiting the game and launching the game again will work as a quick solution :)
xavie Apr 18 @ 4:58pm
hey! just wondering how to disable the radio chatter after enabling it, love the mod!
Romarus Apr 18 @ 5:47am
Yaaaawn :steamsad:
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 18 @ 1:33am
@Romarus - The yawn sound reference is already loaded by the game before the mod loads. There's nothing I can do without SCS Software's assistance in fixing this technical problem, and I don't know an employee that's responsible for that kind of issue 😔
Romarus Apr 18 @ 12:03am
Maybe somebody could disable Yawn sound? Because all mods about it are obsolete and no working. The hope only on you =)
Romarus Apr 18 @ 12:02am
ok, thanks
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 17 @ 9:10pm
@Romarus - It is compatible. :) That mod does not need to be above in order to work
Romarus Apr 17 @ 8:21pm
Does it compatible with Engine Sound Pack by Trainguy_modding ? I guess that mod must be above yours?
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 17 @ 4:41pm
@MaaTh - Thank you! :) Regarding your question, I recommend having the world sounds volume in the Audio Settings at 50% if you have it set any higher. This is what the mod is tested with.

Of course, it would be unusual to have zero sound effects for helicopters and airplanes
MaaTh Apr 17 @ 4:13pm
Amazing!
Would it be possible to reduce or eliminate the sounds of helicopters and airplanes?
VaeliusNoctu Apr 15 @ 2:29pm
thx, a lot.
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 15 @ 2:27pm
@VaeliusNoctu - Thank you! Well the Sound Fixes Pack will only partially work if it's in lower priority than other mods with rain sounds.

Weather related sound features like the wet tire sound will be working if the Sound Fixes Pack is in higher priority.

That is why in the minimum requirements the Sound Fixes Pack has to be higher priority than rain sound mods.

And yes it's best to restart the game between comparing the mods :)
VaeliusNoctu Apr 15 @ 12:29pm
Oh, where are my manners. Sorry, thx for the work for this mod with so much sound improvements.
VaeliusNoctu Apr 15 @ 12:28pm
Hello, i use atm the mod: Realistic brutal Grpahics and Weather (have rain sounds).
What happens if i set the priority higher for this mod then your mod?
Do your mods still work?
I have no comparsion for what rain sounds better your or the other mods.
It would be interesting to know if i can test it with:

Give the other mod higher Priority and hear rainsound and after that give your mod higher priority.
Have i to restart the game between the comparsions?
TacticalChick3n Apr 15 @ 11:14am
@Drive Safely - Ah it was on my end, workshop mods were not connecting to my game
飞雪落孤城 Apr 13 @ 9:46pm
thank you so much again!:steamhappy::steamthumbsup:
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 13 @ 8:57pm
@飞雪落孤城 - Yes, that is correct :)
飞雪落孤城 Apr 13 @ 7:23pm
What you mean is that as long as the game does not crash, the AI traffic flow mod can be placed above your mod and both can work normally, right?:steamhappy:
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 13 @ 3:28pm
@飞雪落孤城 - With Realistic Train Lengths above it can function mostly because it does make use of the train sounds in the Sound Fixes Pack. However this does place a lot of responsibility to Realistic Train Lengths since it overrides existing trains instead of making standalone definitions for it.

If you run into any stability problems in a future game update, you can always remove other AI traffic mods to lessen the chance of a game crash
飞雪落孤城 Apr 13 @ 4:41am
Hello, I used Femboy Enthusiast's "Realistic Train Lengths" and in his mod introduction, it is required to place the AI traffic mod above your mod, otherwise the game will crash. However, I have never placed an AI traffic mod above your mod before. So I would like to ask you: if the AI traffic mod is placed above your mod, can your mod still work properly? Thank you.:steamhappy::steamthumbsup:
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 11 @ 2:55pm
@TacticalChick3n - It's already compatible. I need more detail on the issue you're facing
TacticalChick3n Apr 11 @ 7:27am
Hello, any update for 1.54.2.6? It's not being recognized
jakefox93272620gaming Apr 8 @ 3:16pm
I did not know that
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 8 @ 1:56pm
@jakefox93272620gaming - We need the game to include the functionality to support that since I can't add the sound without it
jakefox93272620gaming Apr 8 @ 1:50pm
You should add sound when driving over bridges it makes that one sound like irl
Drive Safely  [author] Apr 7 @ 2:59am
@Lord Secretspy - Great to hear! :)
Lord Secretspy Apr 7 @ 2:52am
thank you I got it working :steamhappy:
