i assume it still works, right?
if the grid total power potential is less than the sink it wont drain.
So the mod won't work as well as it used to, if you have a 300MW reactor and try to use this powersink nothing will happen as there isn't 1gw to drain in the first place and for example refineries will keep working.
However if there's 3x 300mw reactors now this will drain 1000mw and only 200mw will be available on the grid and some things will shut-down such as thrusters barely working or some refineries going off-line.
1. Put Power Drains in your own ship that has connector.
2. Turn off the Power Drains so you can fly the ship.
3. Find a base/ship that you can trade with.
4. Connect to it and turn on your Power Drains.
With this you can even turn off other person's safe zone block by stealing the power it needs :D
