does the hugslib log publisher work? I have a mod called Log Publisher from HugsLib, andi think i remember downloading it because the one in hugslib wasnt working at one point, im not sure

Sorry, I was using 1.5 and it prevents the loading of the game entirely, if it is enabled at all, the game would not load, even to the menu screen. Thank you for the help, I just ended up having to remove all mods that depended on it as of now. It's been repeating the error every single time Hugslib is on the list, every mod list that has it, and even when it's the only mod on the list.

Also this issue happens even without prepatcher. Also note that I am on 1.6

A shitty temporary fix for that hugslib issue, is you boot up the game with hugslib disabled, set up your colony and save and exit. Then re-enable hugslib and any mods that require it, and load the save game. Note that this appears to prevent loading of any new maps. I.e. if you attack a settlement it will automatically fail to generate, thus deleting the settlement but won't crash. Don't try to bypass that by using devmode to load the settlement, that will cause some weird visual glitch that prevents you from being able to properly see anything and will not load the map. If a map becomes loaded that you cannot access which happens sometimes, use devmode delete map and select the map. Your colony map will be named whereas other maps will not, making it easy to delete the correct map.

I'm using Hugslib with Prepatcher and Hugslib is throwing up errors for the Quickstart button that are making the game fail to load, I have been trying to pin this down and fix it all day.

I Pinned this issue down around mid afternoon and have been trying to fix it all evening. No matter what I do, it's not fixing, and now it's saying that PrePatcher is a Prerec for HugsLib but Hugslib started throwing the Quickstart button errors when I added PrePatcher. Does anyone have help?

Many many are running 1.5 mods in the beta and then whining about how broken their games are

it should be noted
the actual C# for the dlc
is in the core files already only the xml and assets are missing
SO mods that update to accommodate the c# in core will have an easier time integrating dlc mechanics than if they wait
but at the same time naturally that assumes nothing major suddenly gets added when it goes stable

@Th232r 1.6 isn't even out yet, its still in beta. Don't confuse your ability to play it in beta with it being officially released. If you're playing 1.6, you CHOSE to update early, before most things will be updated and compatible. Not only that, but the DLC isnt out yet either. Given the nature of this DLC its almost certain that the vast majority of mods will need to update AGAIN to be compatible with odyssey. Theres a reason many mod authors have said they are waiting for the DLC before they update, so they do not need to repeat the same work twice.


Finally, modders work for free. They don't owe you anything. You can hope all you want to the ends of the earth but unless you decide to start paying them a salary then its entirely up to them when they decide to update. People incessantly nagging them to put in potentially dozens of hours of free work is certainly NOT going to motivate them.

It is believable and understandable to hope a mod will update he is right

However it is still a dick move to constantly spam about it in mod comments like some users are doing

And for this mod in particular
Hugs has been rather inactive for a long time
Im not sure he's even aware there's an update

People need to just eat their one marshmallow and clench their chafed assholes instead of being brainless end users.

Hundreds of mods are working with current 1.6, with so many mods relying on this mod it is not unreasonable to hope for 1.6 compatibility. If a mod does not NEED another mod to work it should not rely on it.

guys stop annoying him damn, your going to make him become an ex-modder, plus yall tend to forgot Rimworld has a HUGE vibrant modding community if this mod doesnt get updated by Symbolic someone else will...its that simple...for a mod so big and complex I sure this guy knows what he is doing and/or has modder friends that do...

additionally, every time I try it adds a new "Workshop mod XXXXXXXXX" (string of 9 random numbers) to my library, with a listed game version of "None" and that I cant remove from my in game library.

Really weird issue, I cannot get this mod (and only this mod for some reason) to Install. Every other mod comes in fine, I sub and it gets added to the library, able to be activated in game, but Hugslib Specifically wont for some reason? just doesnt show up in the library.
