@Nerpydude173. Yes, dont use it. Hugslib has long been on life support and even that is questionable, hence why the community has long since moved on from it.

@Nerpydude173 The problem you're describing kinda sounds like you have a local copy of Hugslib, or a duplicate version, somewhere... did you ever use a mod manager, and then create local versions of mods? Is it possible you are subscribed to more than one version of this mod, or any other mod that uses Hugslib? Also, I'm just guessing, but wouldn't installing both HugsLib and HugsLight cause conflicts?

Second it's really hard to read that log file without text highlighting... if you haven't solved this, can you copy just the red and yellow errors?

And third, based on what I saw, at least one issue is related to "XMT Queen" definitions being fubared. Do you know which mod that's related to? You also have errors in finding sounds for at least one weapon, but that's just a waning. My first suggestion is to remove Hugslib and any dependencies and see what impact that has. If you have several mods suddenly wigging out, a library dependency is probably at fault, and Hugs is outdated.

this mod now doesn't even work for me, the mods that need it can't load, and it just doesn't show up in my mods list, it just shows and error message with other mods that need it or won't load, I use to love using this, but now I might stop, though sadly some of my mods don't work anymore since they relied on Hugslight, I wouldn't recommend this mod right now, maybe once its fixed or something my thoughts will change, but for now its sad for to see this mod not wanting to work, and not being able to use this mod.

@ObiWanTrenObi66 all of a sudden, it's throwing errors for me mid-game (something about a tooltip if I'm reading the stacktrace right) that completely disable the UI, including the main menu. If I hold alt, for some reason, it shows up, but it disappears again as soon as I release it

I wonder if Mlie would consider taking this one as one of the "continued" mods?

Xml extensions is easier for xml obly modders to make settings

Which frequently quits working due to github changes that hugs doesnt fix for most of entire game versions so we made the standalone a while ago to fix and upgrade

Also the dmca wasn't cause of Chinese players
It was cause some hearts of iron players/modders got in a fight about one of their mods and started dmcaing eachother then spread to dmcaing everything they could
It hit 5 different games by the end of the petty fight

For the DMCA, I think that was Chinese people trolling every major mod from various games.

Also, it’s best to stop using Hugslib mods. Any mod that still relies on Hugslib is basically unmaintained, repacked to new version without fixes or on life support, and the authors using it clearly don’t care about keeping their mods updated.

Is this not working for anyone else? HugsLib completely kills my game, if its on my list at all, the game just cuts to a black screen upon bootup. I even verified by running it on a mod list by itself with core. Same issue, just cuts to black.

I wonder if this is some sort of coordinated attack against mods on Steam, and even Steam itself.
Steam is not just a very convenient platform to buy and own games on, but also for modders, which prolong the shelf life of games and increase their audience as well.

Maybe it's from a corporate entity, or multiple ones.
For the Rimworld community, losing Hugslib and Harmony, taken down for the sake of a flimsy, shady copyright strike, would be a DISASTER for our modders and players.

I hope you can get all this sorted away, and that the fraudulent takedowns are removed site wide. It's honestly a joke that so many people must suffer due to some bad actors on the internet
