Would it be too much to ask for having the old iconic blue UI/HUD as a mod?

Retro HUD maybe?

I am just wondering, is there any way to use this on any MP server without having the admins add it on?

I just wanted to say that I tried putting every vanilla block small and large in a world of the most current version (1.183.2) with all of the retro mods + the old emissive light colors and everything looks so gooooood! I've gotta say I love the old artstyle, much more than the current one!

Are you planning on re-doing the retro functional blocks? I see you removed them due to a terrible game hang bug.

Thanks Phoenix :) Yeah, you stated it's a bug so just wanted to make sure it's the same I was thinking about. The fix could be out of date, but who knows ;) I made it just after finishing a model I wanted to release (small hydrogen tank 1x2x1 for large ships). I was disappointed because I made 3 LOD levels and they didn't work - so I made this fix instead of releasing the mod.

@Harven, I know it's a game bug, and that's what I was planning to do. Thanks for the PR. I'll forward it to the devs, though it might be out of date now.

Hey, about the LOD problem: I don't think you can fix it by yourself. I'm guessing you will rename LOD models so they will be different than new ones. This should work in theory but I will not because of the same bug that causes new LODs to be displayed. The problem is that the game looks for LOD models only inside game's content directory. So if you rename your LOD models, the game will display no LODs at all (it will show base models all the time). I made a fix for this long time ago and it's waiting to be pulled at github: https://github.com/KeenSoftwareHouse/SpaceEngineers/pull/531
