@WardenWolf thanks! Should update as soon as I can, but I think a lot of SE stats and blocks will be changing soon, so I will wait for a time when blocks list is almost finished. We are supposed to get new weapons and economy blocks in the next weeks and months.

@Razor I changed my mind, just use her as you like, but try to not be toooooo close to the original ;)

When the release version came out, they boosted all thrusters by 20%, which dramatically helped this design. I was able to go to orbit with a Rhino attached, although there was a phase where I was losing velocity. There's just two small changes I found that make this much better in atmosphere: replace the outermost rear ion thruster on each side with atmospherics, and, in the flat area pictured, put in hydrogen thrusters:

Honestly, you do that, and it's like a new ship in atmosphere.

I know, but directional thrust makes the condor so much lighter. So many builds of mine have to be updated, but I will wait untill we get the new blocks.

Honestly, still prefer this version. The vectored thrust version is cool and all, but from a practical standpoint, it makes precise maneuvering impossible. Of course I updated it, along the lines of the other ships I've worked on. You know the type of work I do by now.

The Condor is still an active workshop creation of me, so I would like you to not reupload it. I still intend to use both the name and the design.
Razor Feb 28, 2019 @ 8:54pm
Hey, would you mind if I upload a modified version of the Condor to the workshop? (Ofc with credits to the original)

I must say, I love this design. It's just big enough to retrofit for damn near anything I've needed it to do and still look good doing it.
Great work.

Razor - I've encountered the same issue. What I do to fix it is to move the jump drive two blocks farther to the rear. You have to remount that rear spotlight, or just do away with it all together, however it allows the jump drive to work. No idea why it's placement matters, but that resolves it for me.
JD.Horx  [author] Jun 14, 2018 @ 1:56pm
cant help you with that, sorry
Razor Jun 14, 2018 @ 12:10pm
Great Ship, I love it!
Having issues with the Jump drive though, it is not able to make blind jumps... I always get the error "Obstacle Detected", no matter what I do...
JD.Horx  [author] Mar 17, 2018 @ 2:57pm
Very well.
Xeanu Mar 17, 2018 @ 2:17pm
how well does it work in atmosphere?
TERMINATOR 01 Nov 22, 2017 @ 7:01am
I dont know is someone else notices it but this reminds me of the Pelican from the Halo universe. Very cool indeed ;D
Snoopish Apr 27, 2017 @ 12:52pm
Subscribed to most of your newest ships and your station modules and I am loving them all.

But Flying around with this Condor, I can't seem to land it on any of the landing modules that would let me use both the walkway AND the connector at the same time.

Turbines -> Atmosphere
Ion -> Space
Darth Brandon Mar 4, 2017 @ 1:29am
How are you supposed to get out of atmosphere? Im going straight up but at a few thousand meters above the surface, the speed starts rapidly dropping and i go back down to the surface ... .
corruptwing Jan 28, 2017 @ 8:55pm
Well I tried on earth it did crashed as expected. Looks like the atmothruster benifits more than I thought in thick atmosphere. Seems the only safe way to drop a rhino is to attach some atmothrusters to it like a power glider.
JD.Horx  [author] Jan 27, 2017 @ 6:05pm
Oh thanks for mentioning that. Funny, because I tested this multiple times. And I should update the description yeah ;)
corruptwing Jan 25, 2017 @ 4:31pm
Great dropship. Tried to carry a rhino to alien planet from orbit. Against the description of the rhino, the landing was actually successful, without using hydrogen thruster at all. It can also lift from alien planet without hydrogen. Very impressive.
And by the way, there is still a "two rocket launchers" in the description.

Haven't been able to load some of these into my game as you built them in the dev build of the game :(
JD.Horx  [author] Dec 10, 2016 @ 9:15pm
The blueprint should now be available like normal. Hopefully.
Tourquilian Dec 10, 2016 @ 6:23pm
Really neat design.
VOID WALKER Dec 10, 2016 @ 11:36am
Yes does not load for me either
JD.Horx  [author] Dec 9, 2016 @ 8:47am
Oh that's strange I have to check this once I get internet for my desktop PC.
Shockme001 Dec 9, 2016 @ 3:06am
this does not load properly, it says failed to load blueprint file. all of your other new ships work perfectly except for this one.
