There were no script in this world when I downloaded it. MB I did smth wrong

PSA for anyone struggling with PCU Limit: you don't need to use airtight hangar doors (115 PCU Each) if you're using merge blocks. just use a non-connecting airtight block (any kind of slope) for the edges of the door and that's your airtight door. No hangar door blocks needed.

Looks like Keen broke this world. :P Or at least the scripts it uses.
Jimbo Mar 30, 2021 @ 7:44pm
I figured out a setup that works with connectors outside the hangar. It causes a little bit of clang when the ship is floating but seems stable and works with a hangar door entirely made of glass. I developed the mechanism on my own and had friends build a ship around it. The connector setup is really finicky to build though, and I like what you did.

Is this a blueprint, or a workshop scenario?
Геймер 98 Dec 19, 2020 @ 11:24am
I can't find the hangar
Stally447 Nov 11, 2020 @ 10:04am
ok, turns out i was just dumb and impatience lmao. works fine ty
Venom415  [author] Nov 11, 2020 @ 9:44am
There are no mods on the world file as far as I am aware, should work as expected once you load in.
Stally447 Nov 11, 2020 @ 1:55am
is it possible a mod could conflict with it?
Stally447 Nov 11, 2020 @ 1:55am
how long does that take?
Venom415  [author] Nov 10, 2020 @ 12:49pm
you only press the button once and you have to wait for the process to finish..
Stally447 Nov 10, 2020 @ 11:53am
i pressed the buttons multiple times, the only ones to open were the air tight ones. not the actual large door so the ship could leave
Venom415  [author] Nov 10, 2020 @ 11:43am
tested it recently, the buttons to open the door still work when I pressed them.
Stally447 Nov 10, 2020 @ 10:57am
door doesnt open for me
ettererboys Jun 17, 2020 @ 8:37pm
AMAZING BUILD!! Its very easy to copy and paste into other worlds and works amazingly. Thanks @Venom415 for posting this
CPT Kraut Apr 14, 2020 @ 7:54am
@venom415, i found that out after pasting it in my own world lol. but i did also manage to set up my own button panel in the control tower. I looked, figured out how it worked, and went with what i thought would work to test it. very intuitive, and works surprisingly well! Great job on this. Ill be using more than one and creating a nice big underground hangar!
Venom415  [author] Apr 13, 2020 @ 6:57am
@Helios606 its a world file not a blueprint
Boris the Blade Apr 13, 2020 @ 12:05am
man i don't think i'll ever post something to the workshop after reading some of these comments
Helios606 Apr 12, 2020 @ 1:42pm
i subscribed cause i love the design but it dosent show when i load in and try to paist it it show in wwork shop but not in game ive reloaded please help
Venom415  [author] Apr 11, 2020 @ 3:54pm
Theres button controls around the edge of the door that can open and close it.
CPT Kraut Apr 11, 2020 @ 3:47pm
It seems to me that the button/control seat that was set up to open this door(you can see what i assume is it in the control tower in the beginning of the video) has been removed, therefore the door cannot be tested. I wouldnt even know where to start to set up the opening of the door myself. any chance this could get fixed? was really looking forward to using this on one of my games
Venom415  [author] Jan 27, 2020 @ 2:36pm
I understand, in short I wont make a new blueprint for it for two reasons, you can easily make a blueprint for it if you want to project it in your world, and the major deciding point I made back then was that there are more people who will only test it VS people who would want the blueprint to project it, as I said before if I made it a blueprint the people wanting to try it out in creative might have mixed results depending on how they paste it and where.
[FMH] EmperorFunky™ Jan 27, 2020 @ 1:18pm
Yeah the entire query about making it a blueprint was due to the fact I do enjoy terraforming so ideally having that to paste over the hole for our capital ships would be a fantastic.

You say you won't make it a blueprint followed by 'You can give it a try' so could you clear up wether or not you will or will not make it a blueprint?
You are right though. If it was a blueprint I could use the projector and then use that hologram to dig out the perfect amount of space for it to fit with no issues. Which goes the same for other users.
It's a fantastic creation and I'm sure I'm not the only fella that would love to implement it to pre existing worlds :)
Venom415  [author] Jan 27, 2020 @ 12:36pm
I made it a world at the time so people can test it without having user error ruin the experience, I will not make it a blueprint for the following reason: I'm not sure if pasting it in the ground works unless you dig things out, otherwise it might have some issues with the hitbox when pasting or using. You can give it a try but I dont think it will be easy.
[FMH] EmperorFunky™ Jan 25, 2020 @ 8:44am
How does one go about adding this to a pre-existing world? Much like the rest of the items i've subscribed to?
Been looking for this sort of thing for a while. Twas a surprise upon finding it but a welcome one indeed.

Any plans on making this a blueprint?

Sweat
Thank you
Venom415  [author] Dec 23, 2019 @ 9:16am
its possible to use thrusters to assist it on earth/alien/mars
JustSpiffy Dec 23, 2019 @ 9:12am
Does it only work on the moon
tazman2013 Nov 19, 2019 @ 9:27pm
@Venom415 I am working on my own design for this, but I have been unable to get the doors to reconvert to a ship after disconnecting the merge blocks. I'm not sure if I'm missing something somewhere, do you have any input on the issue?
Boris the Blade Sep 3, 2019 @ 9:50pm
@Oberon just load the world and CTRL+B
Fenrir (Away maybe for long) Jun 9, 2019 @ 4:39am
Can you make it has a blueprint plz?
Venom415  [author] Jun 4, 2019 @ 6:53pm
I have not tested it on a non station grid so the results may be shaky, sadly I cannot help with the project; but I wish you the best of luck. A hint though is that you can use timer blocks instead of the script to do the same functions.
Geo Jun 3, 2019 @ 11:09pm
love the doors and would like to incorporate the design into a large carrier/hauler ship for screwing about in a private server, but would like an assist with moving the programmable block if you have the time.
Sharkey Mar 24, 2019 @ 12:20pm
Im trying to make something similar to your design. How did you get the door to merge with the station without turning into a static grid?
GrizzleFace Mar 19, 2019 @ 12:10am
Venom, I could use your help with something, when you have a minute can you send me a message please.
DMMWolf Nov 8, 2018 @ 4:43pm
The way you circumvent that is make sure you have blocks from the same group on both grids. Once Reconnect is achieved the two groups from either grid become one once again
Venom415  [author] Nov 8, 2018 @ 4:33pm
at the time of making it; detaching grids would remove blocks and groups from the timer blocks and would ruin the process of closing them. I believe they still do that.
DMMWolf Nov 8, 2018 @ 4:30pm
More materials but it becomes more update/idiot resistant. Not saying any of you are idiots, but engineering is all about idiot proofing things. just ask the military.
DMMWolf Nov 8, 2018 @ 4:27pm
Honestly looking at the whole process, you should be able to do it with a timer assembly, no programming block and script needed
SkyRaze Aug 3, 2018 @ 3:53pm
script to open the door is broken.
Tratzum Jun 28, 2018 @ 12:29pm
This is why space engineers is awsome. Great job.
Specimen 7 Jun 13, 2018 @ 9:04am
You should make a full rcsp base on mars and on the moon, and maybe hae something that can warp you there.
RocketMcGregor Jul 21, 2017 @ 12:40pm
I made a blueprint, after building it in my world the doors break off after the first timer sequence.
Dots May 21, 2017 @ 10:22am
mechanism broken due to scripts needing update
Cmdr. DoomForge™ Apr 15, 2017 @ 11:20pm
Is it also possible to do this with a form of hangar blast door that slides out and rotates partway to its closing position while maintaining an airtight seal? I thought I remembered seeing a mod or an update to one that added sloped airtight hangar doors but I forgot wherer it was or what name it went under.

I'm curious if this same method can be done using blast door blocks though since those would have tougher armor (even if only by a small amount since se armor is pretty weak without using a modded armor).
geniusface1234 Apr 6, 2017 @ 1:43pm
i replicated the mechanism in the video in my own world and the doors de-group when i do the thing
ill have to get the script from this world then

Krahazik Feb 27, 2017 @ 7:59am
This the design might work with a varient using angled blocks to creat a seal when merged closed instead of hangar doors?
Jack5 Feb 4, 2017 @ 4:12pm
how do i controll the ship :steamsad:
