They didn't ruin anything. But they also won't make it better either, when all that would require is accepting my update.
Maybe I'll email them about it again at some point. Who knows.

i have an unusual one and i dont really like the update. the model looks better, but the new textures make it look like a completely different hat.

I remade it about two years ago, and valve has refused to add the update. Unless they change their minds, it's as good as valve will allow it to be.

I already tried to get a style for the insulated inventor added, and they refused stating that they aren't adding any styles to existing items. Though this was before they added styles to the cat.

I emailed about it, and valve is not accepting updates unless there is a problem with the item. So no update for the woolen warmer, or any hat for that matter, unless they decide to change their minds.

You should add a second style that fully paints the middle part but leaves the rim and the pom pom white so you could have a budget BMOC with Team Spirit :D
