Hey Guys. Doesn't seem to be anything big, but my DS log keeps showing this:

Critical Bug: after reaching a high XP amount the profilenamespace gets corrupted.
Lost all arsenal presets, custom UI resets to default, addon keybinds reset, etc.

is there a singlar fnc_duws_sideMissionGenerator that the team leader can call to open up the side mission selection screen dialog?

if its not in a function, which sqf file creates the addactions for the HQ officer?

me again, so how about automatically chaining teh side missions based on proximity?

a gripe with the side missions is once you complete one you have to backtrack HQ just to get another one

Not sure if this is a bug/oversight or intended; after you unlock the virtual armory(30cp) subsequent supply ammo box drops do not have the arsenal addaction.

as a workaround i had to manually add it:
[ "AmmoboxInit", [ cursortarget, true] ] spawn BIS_fnc_arsenal;

As for known issue #5 (HC not yet supported) you can use Werthles Headless Module

wasnt a cakewalk but atleast its better than starting from scratch (esp load balancing)

@dward_25 Way ahead of you mate! Setting some of the mission startup parameters is set for the next release. I'm not too sure when we're thinking of getting the next release out as we've some bugs to close off and some extra functionality that we'd like to finish first, but it shouldn't be too far off.

@cai yeah im just glad its working on dedi +HC, the lobby params seem to work if you change them very quickly the moment the mission loads (too slow and everything gets ignored). is there a way to get the in game welcome options screen working? like a waituntil uisleep first player connected to server? so people dont have to unpack the pbo just to change params

glad to hear its (soft of) working, the crash on #missions is a bit dodge though, definitley shouldn't be doing that! That does, however infer another map or the server more so that this one i'm afraid.

finally got it working on ded by removing all maps in mpmissions/ except duws and autoloaded on startup. (running #missions will still crash the server tho)

@cai tested it again without a single mod enabled and verified files, still the same crash on load (cannot even select a map) crashes on dedicated/listen/local.

@dward_25, paramrevive.hpp is a built in Arma3 item for Arma3's revive. [community.bistudio.com] I've not come across this with this map personally.

Couple of questions, how are you sure it's this map? does this occur only when trying to load this map specifically? or does it happen as the dedi is starting up?

Also, mods might be a factor here. try loading the dedi with this map and no mods if you have some loaded.

If nothing else, I'd try to verify the server files (verify game cache if in steam and if using SteamCMD, update the dedi with the validate option )

my dedi is crashing with this map in list, error in paramsrevive.hpp i have to remove all traces of it from all directories. (cant even get into the mission select screen)

ive always wanted duws on dedicated,can you please look into this? thanks

Are you familiar with how to unpack a PBO and editing them? If so, in INIT.sqf on line 95, you'll see zones number and spacing.

If you're not familiar with PBOs and how to extract, repack and script for extraction, I use UnPBO [www.armaholic.com] to extract but i know a popular (un)packing tool is the PBO Manager [www.armaholic.com]

This [forums.bistudio.com] covers the basics on setting up a dedicated server. Under "Addons & mods" on the "Basic explanation" bit will help you.

The Steam Workshop Downloader [steamworkshopdownloader.com] will allow you to download this mod seperatley, as you might want to pull the files for a dedicated server.

I was able to repro the issue with spawning vehicles hopefully is a simple issue to solve.
published a new version, added 3d icon for laser markers (works great with darters)

just brought my dedi back from the dead (new hard drive but still need new power supply current is having issues)
I completely lost all previous versions since my perforce database was on that hard drive.
Cai, please feel free to add me on steam, I'm curious about the issue with spawning vehicles, while working on this project I have reported at least one server side issue to BI would be nice to have another one :)

If this is still active, LOVE the fact this works with dedis.

I've been testing the issue that others have experienced with spawned vehicles not moving. The issue only applies to ground vehicles (Helicopters are fine, for example). From what i've found it only applies to the first vehicle created, any subsequent vehicles that are the same, are fine but creating different vehicles will require multiple copies.

An example:
Start the map and spawn in
Spawn an ATV - doesn't move
Spawn in another ATV - moves fine.
Spawn a truck - doesn't move
Spawn another - Moves fine

Nothing is logged in the RPT for this as far as i can tell.

Tested on a Windows Server 2016 Dedi. I'm happy to provide a sanitized RPT.

I'm glad to have finally found one that supports dedicated servers. I was wondering if there would be any updates to this version to be like the new updates that UltraNoobian have applied to DUWS-R. Like to ability to manually place where your base is and to have the options to customize enemy zones and how many their are and to be able to set a massive ammout of credits for you and your friends to just have fun with.

I'm not sure theres much to tell. I tried looking for a reason behind this bug with my limited knowledge of arma mission editing, but I have found nothing. This is a common bug for me, it happens at least 1/3 times for most vehicles, such as the Hunter. For the sake of debugging, I was playing full vanilla. The vehicles always spawn at 100% health, but the Engine does not turn on. Very strange.

I'm glad to mention that there is an issue I reported that BI is taking a look, it is caused when you try to spawn units on a FOB when running on a dedicated server.
I expect to return to development shortly as soon as things at work calm down a bit.

I noticed an issue with vehicles that once spawned, some (usually wheeled vehicles) will not move, even though they seem completely usable. I tested this on a flat area as well as on a normal area as well.

I noticed that when I run the mission as a scenario I start with 60 cp default, but when it is on a dedicated server I have 19 cp. Do you know where that value comes from?

How do I edit the startup defaults when running this on a dedicated server? I tried to open the .pbo and edit startup_defaults.sqf, but those changes do not seem to have any effect in game.

@Crookedguitar, if you can get me the .rpt files that should help a lot.
one comment, what you are describing sounds like a ping/bandwidth issue, some of my friends who live in a different hemisphere sometimes have similar issues.

about spawn, rpt files, server log and if possible screenshot, it could be that the pbo is not downloading (bandwith issue). note there is a 30s delay on the first spawn to allow the server to init settings.

I'll take a look as soon as I get some time if you can get me the info :) feel free to add me on steam.

Sorry I do not have any logs to provide but for some reason loading this up on our Linux Dedicated Server allows some people to join in if they restart their Arma 3 multiple times. The loading in or spawning function seems to need some tweaking as many players will just hang at the DUWS-R loading screen before the spawning screen load in. Seeing as this is the only DUWS-R fixed for Dedicated support at this time it would be greatly appreciated by our community if a workaround or optimization was figured out. Thank you.
