Portal Reloaded brought me here. After plaing it, this map feels kinda sh*t (:D), but as a concept map created years ago, it's quite inspired. So you get my thumbs up :)

Honestly one of the best mods I've played.
Kris Jan 14, 2020 @ 3:11pm
How did you make the cubes? I would like to know for my maps.
viola Jan 19, 2019 @ 10:28pm
very satisfing to complete the second test. one of my favorites :cozybethesda:
aledavid07 Jul 7, 2018 @ 7:48pm
how do you make the cube of the past follow that of the future???
kwinten Apr 29, 2018 @ 6:07pm
Nice ! You're the first i see who respect "if you move object in the past, it moves in the future and not the reverse"
Very good for a 2012 map, i've made my own timetravel map with scripts, if you see my message one day, i would be interested by your opinion:

Cool!

This is an amazing game, and I hope you do more like these (like you did with Time Travel 2, the one I'll play next). I would love this mechanic for a Portal 3, in fact.

Wonderful! Thank you!
Ratboy Apr 2, 2016 @ 5:27am
Absolutely excellent. Could you possibly message me and tell me how you pulled off the mirrored cube effect, and how you hanlded setting the orange portal automatically when the blue one is placed by the player? I've done a lot of source maps, and this is pretty unique.

Ha! Never mind. I finally figured it out. The secret is that moving the cube in the future (old looking) does not move the cube in the past. Get both cubes in the room with the rising platforms. Drop the future cube in the goo to cause it to regenerate in the adjacent room. Move to the past, through the adjacent room, then to the future again to recover the respawned cube. Put it on the receptical to open the exit door. Hit the button to raise the platforms. Quickly move to the past, through to the adjacent room, back to the future and cross the plaforms to the exit. I know that was as clear as mud, but hopefully it will help. GREAT MAP!

I'm stuck right where 42:nd Guy was stuck. Any hints?
42:nd Guy Jun 16, 2014 @ 6:44am
Never mind. I finished it.
42:nd Guy Jun 16, 2014 @ 6:37am
I don't get how to beat the level where you're supposed to put the present and past cubes in two different places. I can't get into the room where the present is (where I'm supposed to activate the plattforms rising from the toxic waste) but still be in the past, to jump over them. The previous links given here doesn't work. Could someone please explain?
It's a great map, but I'd like to finish it.

I cannot figure out the one with the two blocks and the bridge. I can't find any youtube videos showing what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

How did you get it to go in the other time zone by using the portal gun is it a mod or something
Slordar May 22, 2013 @ 8:31pm
I have made 2 time travel concept maps but they are more of a demo thing where as this map is fully functional and AWESOME here is a link to my first TTC map http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=146820630

I found this a while ago. This is still one of the coolest ideas with Portal I've seen in a long time.

My portal and time concept video is in progress. When done, please watch it!
ChaosContrl Dec 6, 2012 @ 4:21am
I have played this map. My rating would be 10/10, if not 11/10! It's just awesome! You have made a good use of the time and space travels in your level, with the time modifying thing. For the cubes, i don't know what you have done to link them in the sort, but the fact the future cube restart its position to the one the present cube is is just incredible. I will really appreciate if you join the portal 2 OoT project! Seriously, that's a perfect work!
ChaosContrl Dec 2, 2012 @ 9:14am
I got the answer, Haymose! Look at my video "Portal 2 OoT project : the Concept of Time traveling" : it shows everything about it! First video is for time only. I am currently working on the second one, which contain portals AND time.
Haymose Nov 20, 2012 @ 2:13pm
Amazing map. I would love to see something similar with the normal portals and the time travel portal possibly as a third addition portal.

It's remarkable I didn't meet myself on the testing track ;)

how do you time travel in this map?
NatoNine Jul 18, 2012 @ 7:12am
I've played both maps... They're very well done! I had hoped someone would figure out how to pull this off, and I'm glad you did! I wonder, would it be possible to make 3 or more time zones and use the orange and blue portals to go to the past and the future respectively (maybe lopping around)? It would be interesting to overlap this concept with all the different time period aesthetics... Old Aperture (Cave Johnson era), the Original Portals Aperture Enrichment Center (With as much as possible classic mechanics only), the Aperture Ruins, and the Rebuilt Aperture... Maybe even just any 2 or 3 per map.

I think there is also opportunity to make some "Day of the Tentacle" type puzzles like changing test chamber blueprints in the past in order to make the built test chamber different in the future. You could even paradoxically make the player responsible for the invention of the portal gun...
Ciirulean Jul 17, 2012 @ 1:51pm
Great entity mod. The map was very clever and creative, although cubes disappearing when going through time doesn't make much sense, as you don't age when you go through time. Also I've been tinkering with the Hammer World Editor and been working on a very large project (hasn't been launched yet). Would you mind posting the download link to the object entity file? Thanks you!

This is awesome. That last puzzle really had me stumped...

Until I started thinking with time portals. XD

MikeTheGreat Jul 1, 2012 @ 10:58am
Excellent concept and great level. This one kept me puzzled for some time :-)
don23rhino Jun 29, 2012 @ 10:30pm
They should turn this into an actual game becasue it's totally bad ass, i spent 2 and a half hours on the last stage until i figured out you had to break the cube in the present by putting it into the liquid then placing it on the switch. PURE GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SliceofLie Jun 27, 2012 @ 9:36pm
AHH ragequit final stage, had to use solution on youtube. facepalm. i keep thinking clean world is the future... Anyways great map, great concept, one of the few that can stump me :D

awsome job!
dialMARK4acti0n Jun 26, 2012 @ 12:28pm
This is the first time travel level I've played that has actually been done RIGHT!
Keep up the good job!
michel6 Jun 26, 2012 @ 10:37am
I saw the entire solution in the You Tube and this is a 5 stars map, not 4 or 3. But I don't expect much from this community,... too many 12 years old playing and their votes worth 1, the same as people with good sense of evaluation and intelligence. It is a democracy, not a skill or innovation score. Unfortunately.

cool idea, but couldn't get past the puvzzle with the buttons and the overlapping walkways. Eventually ragequitted, but still epic

Cool!

If you want to become just about as famous as, say Reepblue (genious who created the mod for Portal: Blue Portals) or who ever made 12 Angry Tests here's my advise:

Create about 10+ chambers revolving around these time travel mechinisms. Make them follow a story and make them gradually get harder and harder.

(If you were to really take it this far I wouldn't know what to say) Make (or choose a Core sprite) and insert your (or some one elses) voice into him and have him tutorial you thoughout the test chambers. And (like you) he'd be involnerable to the paradox of walking through time.

Although the test chambers are already great!
FishToastie Jun 25, 2012 @ 12:52pm
It's a very well executed idea however the map it's self had a lot to be desired. I don't know whether you rushed to get the idea out or if you are just better on the technical side. Just a little complaint. As I said the idea was well made, better than the other time-travel maps out there, and the puzzle was a challenging and fun! I look forward to playing another like this.
MustyJam Jun 25, 2012 @ 12:40pm
tyvm for making this , THIS WAS INTERESTING
