Tell me, is there a working analogue of the mod with similar functions?
If i use the standard game I will definitely use this in my survival game.
Would love this to work with other mods to be able to unlock in the game without having to place everything in order to get it.
I also like @MurderBot Ver 2.3 comment/suggestion about possibly having blocks that can not be learned. Would make for a great survival, if you had to find blocks to salvage and merge with stuff.
If you want to take the mod out of an existing save... you need to remove the whole class out of sandbox.sbc
Delete... everything between the MyObjectBuilder_SessionComponent tags... example below.

@timdodd, i afraid not all so simple, i did not managed to catch issue in local DS test, will try to being some friendly modders to help.
i plan to find tome to fix it in april somewhere.
But I honestly don't know if it had anything to do with that mod because I've unlocked those blocks before in the same fashion with no issue what so ever. Might just have been a fluke and it was easily fixed by reloading the world, in case someone reports this issue in the future.

Since I'm here clarification on unlocking mod blocks: the 'schematic' item should randomly unlock something for you when you use it. Either if it unlocks something that you already have unlock you get 'nothing', or it always unlocks something you haven't unlocked yet.
Talking of mod blocks I've run into some sort of bug...
I'm playing SEAMIN and I loaded in a blueprint with the ladder blocks in order to unlock them. I did this in the past and it worked but this time only 'ladder segment' unlocked. Grinding down the others doesn't seem to trigger an unlock.
I'll look more into it to try and get some details on why this happened.
