Hello. So already, I would like to thank you for your magnificent weapon mods of Mass Effect. Would it be possible to see the release of the Carniflex or the Paladin in a pistol?

I find it kinda hilarious that someone a page or two back found the Valiant to be too quiet. Having gotten it to show up (incidentally, the ballistic-level version still doesn't show up, but I did get the Mag version. But I digress. Holy *CRAP* this thing is loud compared to the other guns in my game! Still, love it. Love the Valiant.

It looks like it may have been due to a localization issue (ie US vs UK spelling). Let me know if its fixed please.

Ok ive done some code changes (again), it should in theory fix the issue. Please unsub and resub again to make sure you get an updated version

I'm just going to go ahead and add my voice to the list of people who can't get this weapon to show up. I've got most of your other Mass Effect weapons without any issues (love that M8 Avenger!), but this is the only one having the issue. It simply doesn't show up in-game in my armory for soldiers to equip.

I have the same problem here - gun does not appear in armory in game. Tried to sub and ubsub several times with no effect. And mod is turned on.

Please try un-subbing and re-subbing. Steam has been a little iffy recently, so you may have a busted download. Also ensure your activating the mod in your launcher before playing.

@Battleclad You must have a bad download or something because it absolutely has an Ability description name, and it works correctnly in the menu's and skill descriptions.

Just noticed that you haven't applied an ability description to this (and I guess the others as well) so they screw up the perk descriptions.

You cant do that with this gun. As its a sniper rifle is has "sniper" weapon attacks. Only weapons that have "standard" attacks can move and shoot.

Tryed to play around the config file a bit to make it into a DMR type weapon so it uses 1 action

tryied somthing like...
N7VAL_ACTIONCOST = 1
N7VAL_ISSNIPER = false

but cant seem to make it work? Any tips

All my weapons fire effects are tied to your SFX slider in options. If you dont have that turned up it will sound "weak" because of its effect style.

Could you possibly consider increasing the volume or punch of the sound? It's so quiet it's almost like it's supressed.

@Drake - Please explain further; Did you have the mod previously prior to the rewrite issue? If so you will need to either reload to prior to adding the weapon/upgrading the tier or wait till the next tier is unlocked.

If your a new subscriber and it wont appear in the armory.........Idk.

I having trouble with the Valiant showing, but no trouble with the Crusader and Mattock. Any ideas? I try unsub and resub doesn't work.

Thats an Xcom issue. It happens frequently with all weapon types.

I really love the work you've put into it, and I know my question will probably be a no, but is there anychance of making an alternate one with a longer barrel, maybe even a longer stock?? It just feels like such a short sniper rifle. Thanks in advance!

It seems the weapon template name was changed for this weapon but i THINK the enabler fixes this even though you dont have original weapon anymore.. i started a new game so i cant test it right now.

My valiant dissappeared :'( and I don't know why. I installed the liara mod, then my valiant simply does not exist in my armory anymore, have not upgraded weapons yet.

I dont have ME 1 & 2 on pc, those I have on Xbox. So only ME3 stuffs. And as for more, for the moment im making sure all 4 of these are "finished off". Im also currently fighting a cold, so im taking it extra slow.

Ok updated once more with a new tracer effect for the weapon. Much jazzier, and should solve issues with the old "floaty" one.

I had to rewrite the mods main item data to correct a bug caused by the game not liking my naming system for weapons and spawning valiants every time you loaded a game.

The weapon is still called the N7 Valiant and should still be in your armory at t1. If you already upgraded it via the research option it may not appear as a purchase option until you reach the next tier.

Really sorry about that but it was either fix the bug or let it spawn millions of Valiants and cause a crash.

Update:

I found them. Somehow, even though I already had the Magnetic version unlocked, it had taken the Squad Upgrade away completely when I discovered plasma weapons. Weird that it didn't do that with any of my other modded blueprints, but I have it again.

So, I was using this mod, and then it appeared to abruptly disappear. I can't find it anywhere in my inventory, even though one of my snipers has been using it in the last 2 missions. Did you do anything that may have removed the item or model, recently?

@Verrik Im still improving the effect, I was more concered at the moment with ensuring it works correctly before further editing. The sniper shell "floating" is something Im trying to correct. It should simply be a tracer-line with the effect at the tip.

@Arkhangel Can't do SMG atm mate, sorry. They require moving the skeleton around and thats above my level of skill at the moment. Please note however once I do learn how to do so, an SMG is top of my list.

Thanks for making this. I like your other mods but this one the ballistics feel off. For me, the muzzle velocity feels too slow (kinda floats to the target) and the projectile feels too small (IE: just the bullet, no trail effect). I prefer the longer diamond shaped trail animations from other sniper rifles. Good mod tho! Keep em coming!
