Found the source of the issue, UI scaling. I had UI scaling set to 80%. reverting it to default (100%) seems to have fixed the issue.

I'm having an interesting issue where the regular mod menu functions just fine (open chat, hit F2) but when I use the Alt+F10 admin menu, the mod menu header appears, but clicking on it does nothing, it won't open. I'm playing single player, offline mode.

HUD Compass throws an exception on load that is normally caught and ignored, i wonder if that is causing your problem DeVOID.

Similar issue to ProtocolPalpatine, I cannot open the F2 menu. This is on a hosted dedicated server, Host Havoc. I am the admin. This is true with or without creative enabled

I'm getting a crash to desktop when loading in to a server using Text HUD API and the HUD Compass mods.
I know this is a "me problem" because I use Linux, but any help would be appreciated.
I'm running with proton-ge 9-16, with dotnet48 installed (the known dependency for Space Engineers)
I can join just fine, the world loads to 100% and then crashes as soon as it attempts to spawn me on a planet (or upon reaching 100% if I'm already on the planet). The two mods work perfectly fine in my single player worlds. Also this has been an issue for a few updates, I think I attempted to fix this about 6 months ago with the same results.
I can provide SE logs, please help! Thank you :necroheart:

am starting to think it's not this one or its a combination of this & something else but idk - I spent almost 2hrs already just to narrow down/eliminate most of my mods/plugins - was really hoping it was something stupid simple but that’s not my luck - I'll reach out if I can’t find any other solutions, but I think you're right w/ the post before mine that it must be some combination or other conflict - taking this one out was just the first time loading in the first time gave me HUD/toolbars & all. I’ma do some more digging into this & adding/removing/testing about. Wish it would be less of a PITA to narrow down this stuff.

Seems like I always insist on somehow finding/making the most edge case issues lol - literally had been one of a very small number of servers a few major updates back that were having issues ONLY w/ large numbers of mods & took Keen like a solid 2+ MONTHS to actually discover the cause on that one.

it appears this mod is causing the HUD not to show if loaded/active - I've removed every other plugin/mod I use and if I have this mod active my entire vanilla HUD doesn't seem to be visible - no o2/h2/health bars, no speed, no crosshair, gps markers, anything - regardless of being in a cockpit or not - every other mod/plugin I use works just fine except for BuildInfo and Compass HUD since they use this - not sure what else it could be conflicting with but I've done as much testing as I can/know how to do and when I remove/disable this mod/plugin, HUD shows up just fine with or without all the rest. Figured I'd post here - might not be this, could totally be something else it's conflicting with but I don't see how since everything appears just fine without this but doesn't work with this running.

Update did not impact this mod, it may impact the mod that uses this mod.

Trying to get the mod going under Crossover to use Build Info. Text HUD API seems to run as F2 menu appears, text appears. The issue is that the text is jumping kind of thing, it is there but all over the place inside the text area. It is not formatted, not readable. Is there anything Windows specific that needs to be installed into the bottle? Btw, the bottle is Windows 7. Thnx!

im having a problem changing a value for a mod that utilizes this mod, would you know if there is a way to change a number value weather it be a sliding bar or a pop up text box?

The "Reference Issue Detected" is actually a real issue despite author's claims. However it was easily resolved by unsubscribing and resubscribing.

I'm having a problem where the mod will cause hud elements to like, jump around for lack of a better term. They're moving all over the place and not staying still. I just did a clean install of my game and all my mods, so I'm confused as to why this would happen when it's never been an issue before. When I try to access the mod settings in the top left, it doesn't even display any of the settings for mods that use this.

i found my problem buddy thanks one mod was not loading all he needed so its not the Text HUD API some other mod is causing the problems for me sorry i just needed to ask i really love this mod and for me not to use it will change everything thanks again guys

If your save is not loading, you need to look further into the log to find the real cause. Typically the issue will be near the end of the log.

Circular Reference warning is not an issue for this mod, nor does it create any unexpected behavior or crashes.

Reference issue detected (circular reference or wrong order) is a red herring, it doesnt break servers or is an issue.

It broke our server too. I can't see detailed logs since it's remote but it did give me a "Reference issue detected (circular reference or wrong order)" for this mod specifically.

looks like this mod is currently broken. With or alone other mods, this crashes the game at loading. New or old save, tried 2 computers.
All I get to in the logs is Thread: 1 -> MOD_CRITICAL_ERROR: Text HUD API

To use this you would have to subscribe to or create a mod that uses this mods API. If your not a programmer, dont worry about it.

Good afternoon Dray, When I look for the Ai Enabled mod it is not in the list. I see build vision so Text HUD API is working fine. Do you think this is a Ai Enabled issue or something you might be able to look at?

In singleplayer worlds, lately if I use a mod that needs this one as well as this mod, my grids will eventually stop moving. Is that a bug related to updating?

all Chinese characters become some white boxes in game as long as HudAPIv2.HUDMessage is used. Can't solve by myself :csgo_despair:

I can't get this to show up/load. When I go into global chat and press F2, nothing happens. Although I can't say for sure, I suspect that this is due to Warfare 2. Seems like that DLC broke almost every mod for this game. Outside of blueprints, I haven't found ANY that worked.

Again, the xbox cannot compile mods, servers typically do not run on xbox and as such mods that purely operate server side are just fine even with crossplay. Its not a weird quirk.

There's a scripted mod called "Hacking Computers v3" which uses scripts, but functions almost perfectly when used on a Dedicated Server during cross-play, it has a weird quirk though, that being the lights not flashing.
