Seems it needs an update.
Agreed, P-51D is the definitive version of the Mustang and I would love to see that version icon be used in the mod.
A while ago PDX devs expressed interest in the idea of adding support for different icons for variants of the equipment, instead of just inheriting the appearance of the original model. I think this would allow nicely to add the change in the looks of P51, better than forcing it into the '44 slot, anyway.
I was wondering if it was possible to use your great piece of art into our Realism Overhaul mod, of course you get full credits and a link to your mod
A while ago i mentioned on the official forums it'd be nice if we could have multiple equipment entries per tier, basically just cosmetic appearances which would allow to add some of these aircrafts that also make a good match, and it sparked some dev interest.... so you never know, there's hope :3
Sea Gladiators were introduced in 1937, and while being phased out when the war broke out, they still saw plenty of combat in the early part of it. By then they also pretty much replaced the Nimrod, which made appearance in 1933.
Firefly is already in the 1944 slot.
Given these, i think the current setup is a decent reflection of how the development of British naval fighters went in that period, and allows the units to roughly play the roles they played historically. I won't claim it's ideal, but "zero sense" and the "desperate" need of change i have to write off as just empty intrawebs hyperbole.
1936: Fulmar = 600 built
1940: Seafire = 2300 built
1944: Firefly = 1700 built
Replacing the Nimrod with Sea Galdiator would be also a sound idea.
So, I get a request for you... it seems that your mod isn't 100% compatible with Realistic Air Missions. The perfect thing could be a version of Realistic Air Missions which use your sprites when it's possible with no superposition of names/wrong sprites like when I load the both mods
Could you do something about this please ? A lot of RAM implemented aicraft are the same than you, but your textures are better, so...
Hope you understood me, English not perfect because I'm French.
