Finding the "invisible faces" or even this mod and setting it to zero might prevent that from happening in the future, though it might take a new game to get it working.
That is false. I have another facemod installed that does exactly that. (google n00bling xcom face).
How? Copy it to the Wotc Folder?
I use the Mod laucher and it didn't work.
Have a read of these, they should help:
Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all
Mod not working? Mods still have their effects after you disable them?
Try refreshing your My Games config directory (detailed within).
And if you use WotC and the Firaxis launcher: https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/wiki/wotc_modding/guides/fix_duplicateactivemod
Voice mods made for vanilla ALWAYS work in LW2 and WotC. In WotC they will just not be useable for the hero-classes.
For neither cosmetic nor voice mods, most won't work in WotC if they weren't made for it. For LW2, many will work, unless they can coflict, but likely will not be balanced for it in any way, if they don't mention something along those lines.
You'll want to look for mods that are specified to be compatible with WotC or LW2. Don't let that stop you from trying this mod if you want to, and let us know definitively if it works with WotC or not, but I wouldn't expect it to.

No Invisible Heads by Brother DeJonge
There's a "No Invisible Heads" around these parts, you'll probably need to edit it to include the name of the invisible head this mod uses.
I do know sometimes rookies can come with Invis_face, but its easy to go and give them the face prop, but not with scientists and engineers.
Unfortunatelly, sometimes new Rookies get the invisible face (without your new faces addition), which just breaks the immersion. Anyway to either don't give them invisible face at all or just in combination with some of your beautiful faces?
Keep up the good work, mate!
