Does this work with WOTC?

Make sure you are using the right invisible face. There are several in the workshop.

anyone have their eyes missing?

I made a mod to prevent most invisible faces and still allow destroyers faces to show up on soldiers. Destroyer's faces don't use the face slot, you need an invisible face and then equip one of Destroyer's faces in the lower face prop slot ... for random generated characters my mod handles that. Won't fix it retroactively though.

I never got it to work
Sinapus Dec 11, 2020 @ 9:31pm
Okay, tried deactivating any mods that mentioned faces (the name of this mod never appeared on the list) and I ended up with some invisible faces anyway. Either I picked the wrong one or it isn't on the list. Ah well.
Sinapus Dec 11, 2020 @ 5:50am
Not sure about changing an existing non-soldier character, but I've noticed that under options and gameplay(?) all the customization mods (and DLC like Anarchy's Children, etc) appear with a chance for them to be used in a new character. On some of my test playthroughs I noticed some soldiers w/no arms so I set the "invisible parts" type mods to zero and that stopped happening.

Finding the "invisible faces" or even this mod and setting it to zero might prevent that from happening in the future, though it might take a new game to get it working.

how do I fix my engineer she has an invis face and I can't change it

@PUИISHED SИAKE you need to learn to read the description man LOL

" I had to make the faces work this way because there is no way to add custom faces in the faces category."

That is false. I have another facemod installed that does exactly that. (google n00bling xcom face).

@cc83loke Two faces, each with four racial variations, yep.

Are there only 2 faces with 4 races to each?
yes_commander Oct 19, 2018 @ 6:32pm
I can vouch for it working with WotC as well. The one issue I've seen is when an engi or a scientist joins and you get the floating eyes & teeth portrait due to the way these faces are implemented (crew member rolling the invisible face option by chance). It doesn't cause any real harm, but it's very noticeable when it occurs. I assume it could also occur to soldiers who join you in the various escort missions since I've seen a few no-faced rookies since trying this. That said, I use these faces for my current favorite duo. They look great!

@SilverShadowEXE
How? Copy it to the Wotc Folder?
I use the Mod laucher and it didn't work.
SilverShadowEXE Sep 8, 2018 @ 2:17pm
I am happy to unofficially declare that this modpack, despite being made for vanilla XCOM 2, does indeed work for WOTC. Tested it in the character creator and there weren't any missing textures or the like to be found. May want to do a bit more testing in the event that it turns out not to be fine in game.
MrJane Jun 25, 2018 @ 8:09pm
+1 to WOTC?
Nobudi Jun 22, 2018 @ 3:15pm
Would like to know if this is compatible with WotC.
Retroid84 Jun 5, 2018 @ 4:04pm
Will there be issues using this with WOTC?
lichen93 Mar 26, 2018 @ 4:20am
I had a previews Face pack, which only have 4 for Race 0, should I remove that?
3dahs Mar 22, 2018 @ 3:43pm
@dragon32 thanks man. I actually deleted and resubscribed to it. Cleared its config and placed it last in load order. Everything has been working or at least i havent seen an invis head so far in this campaign. Thank you @dragon & Gunvarrel.
Dragon32 Mar 21, 2018 @ 11:48am
@3dahs:
Have a read of these, they should help:
Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all
Mod not working? Mods still have their effects after you disable them?

Try refreshing your My Games config directory (detailed within).

And if you use WotC and the Firaxis launcher: https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/wiki/wotc_modding/guides/fix_duplicateactivemod
Gunvarrel Mar 20, 2018 @ 8:31pm
My bad for the misinformation, I've just been under the impression that LW2 and WotC cause a lot of problems so it's best to make sure they're compatible. And no 3dahs, I'm not sure how you can fix your problem, I don't know why it's happening if you've got the mod on..
Kaldin Mar 18, 2018 @ 4:32am
@Tepiru: Gunvarrel says something partly wrong there. For LW2, ANY cosmetic mod made for vanilla XCom2 will work, as this would be one. For WotC, it's hit or miss. Just try cosmetic mods out in WotC, if they don't work the worst you'll get are missing textures or models(likely the former from what I read), which you can easily see already in the character pool.

Voice mods made for vanilla ALWAYS work in LW2 and WotC. In WotC they will just not be useable for the hero-classes.

For neither cosmetic nor voice mods, most won't work in WotC if they weren't made for it. For LW2, many will work, unless they can coflict, but likely will not be balanced for it in any way, if they don't mention something along those lines.
3dahs Mar 17, 2018 @ 4:38pm
@gunvarrel Thing is, I have had the noinvishead mod activated the whole time and it used to work during my last playthrough which was 10 months ago or so. Are you sure you dont get any engineers with invis heads? Funny I've never gotten a rookie or soldier with an invis head but I have gotten 2 engineers now with invis head. Any idea how I could fix this?
Gunvarrel Mar 17, 2018 @ 7:56am
The mod dev seems to have moved on from XCOM 2 or the community entirely, considering how quiet he is, but to answer you as best I can @Tepiru, MOST mods that are made for Vanilla XCOM 2 won't work with War of the Chosen, and probably not Long War 2 either.
You'll want to look for mods that are specified to be compatible with WotC or LW2. Don't let that stop you from trying this mod if you want to, and let us know definitively if it works with WotC or not, but I wouldn't expect it to.
3dahs Mar 17, 2018 @ 5:40am
@gunvarrel. I'm using that mod. That's the one I've been using. I wonder what happened. Maybe the load order is messed up now? I can i'll delete it and redownload it. Thanks for your help.

Destroyer's Female Face Pack Does not wotc version?
Gunvarrel Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:24pm
You'll likely need to restart your campaign in order for it to work; it only takes effect for newly generated models and doesn't work retroactively. That may be the issue you've had with this and/or similar "no invis head" mods.

No Invisible Heads by Brother DeJonge
Gunvarrel Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:17pm
I use a mod that disables the invis faces. Let me go check which one it is, but it works fine in my game, I've been playing this campaign for 20+ hours and had no problems.
3dahs Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:12pm
@gunvarrel I've been using the no invis faces mod with this mod and never got invis faces on my engineers / scientists. I could of sworn i was using that mod with these faces and it was working. Maybe i'm mistaken. Is there anyway to stop the engineers and scientists from getting those faces without unsubscribing from this mod?
3dahs Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:07pm
I love this mod and can't not use it. I know you put in a lot of work and this mod is probably not relevant to you anymore, but if you could tell me how to mod out the invis faces, I will even do it. Thanks for your work and your help.
Gunvarrel Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:06pm
You literally cannot use these faces without an invisible face. If you read the description, the dev stated that he can't add new faces to the actual Faces pool, so the invis face was necessary.
3dahs Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:05pm
No invis faces mod doesn't work anymore. Is there anyway you can add your version of the mod that doesnt have the invis faces?
Berettakyo Mar 12, 2018 @ 7:52am
@Gunvarrel oh i see .thanks a lot!
Gunvarrel Mar 12, 2018 @ 7:43am
The new faces are in Props under Lower Face Props. You have to use the Invisible Head and then go select a prop face.
Berettakyo Mar 12, 2018 @ 7:41am
pls tell me how to use it. i selected the invis head , and nothing else pops out
Berettakyo Mar 12, 2018 @ 7:36am
great. all i got is mouth and eyes floating in the air.
Gunvarrel Mar 7, 2018 @ 10:41am
The KrystenR face has a clipping issue with the eyes. There's a flap of skin behind the eyes on the face where XCOM's eyes collide with. I can't unsee it now that I've noticed it and want to know if there's any way to get around that issue.
Tim_ Mar 6, 2018 @ 7:05pm
Just completed a WOTC campaign with 63 mods including this one. The new faces are quite good (but they look better in your screenshots here than they did in my game), but the invisible heads thing is not so good. This really needs a bit of polish. I will still probably continue to use it, as it gives some more pleasent faces.
Dragon32 Feb 27, 2018 @ 2:28pm
@EAFPeacemaker:
There's a "No Invisible Heads" around these parts, you'll probably need to edit it to include the name of the invisible head this mod uses.
PeaceMaker Feb 27, 2018 @ 1:05pm
I was always worried that this process would generate an invisble headed engineer and now it has. It wasn`t so bad with soldiers cos I could just change them, but I can`t change engineers. Even making a Custom pool of characters don`t always stop a random no face popping up....
Gnasty Gnome Dec 31, 2017 @ 2:40pm
Am i missing something? Only 2 faces? They look good though
dmc32 Nov 17, 2017 @ 8:32pm
how do you stop the engineers and scientist from getting the invisble head, thats a problem. added lines to the XComNoInvisibleHeads.ini but that still did not work.
Nori Nov 7, 2017 @ 7:19am
Hey, loved the faces, I just dont know if you know about this already or not, but sometimes when you get a new engineer/sciencist, if its a female the rng can give her the Invis_face, but not the appropriate lower face prop, thus making her quite... "interesting" you know. Please take a look at this if possible, this mod is gold, but this small "bug" makes hurtful to play with.

I do know sometimes rookies can come with Invis_face, but its easy to go and give them the face prop, but not with scientists and engineers.
Trollwut Sep 18, 2017 @ 12:58pm
Yo, I love your aesthetic stuff!
Unfortunatelly, sometimes new Rookies get the invisible face (without your new faces addition), which just breaks the immersion. Anyway to either don't give them invisible face at all or just in combination with some of your beautiful faces?
Keep up the good work, mate!
