I am doing the exact instructions you are doing and the guy just does the default animation with his gun lowered. No idea what I'm doing wrong...

If anyone Is having problems. here Is a tutorial on how to animate.
Name your soldier whatever you want, For mine, I use NPC1. When NPC1 Is put In, that Is the soldiers variable name, Now in the initiation box,

Paste
s1 switchMove "anim_name"; s1 disableAI "anim" into the initiation box. and replace s1 with whatever name you choose.

After that. Get an animation name from the mod folder located in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\!Workshop\@DIREONE's Relax and no combat poses

For example. use combat_30. Replace anim_name with combat_30, No caps. just combat_30. After that, everything Is ready. Press "OK" In the bottom right corner. And then press play scenario If you are in the editor. This will not work in zeus. I hope this helped anyone.

A friend stayed with me an hour trying to find out what was wrong and he eventually suggested me to remove all the mods and start again but with only your mods. I do believe it might be because of this mod that alters the animations https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=333310405

Hmm i'm really sure that is not a mod conflict i run like 20/30 mods with mine running and never had issues

Thank you, i realised yesterday that it didnt worked because of some mods i had.
Vanilla game with just your mods work but i have no idea what mods cause the errors.

man you didn't put the unit name before the switchMove command so you need to have something like: s1 switchMove "combat_11"; s1 disableAI "anim" where s1 as i said is the unit name that can be whatever you want

You named the units? S1 is refered to the unit name you have to give to an Ai unit mate

Ok so i copy pasted a random pose ( s1 switchMove "combat_40a"; s1 disableAI "anim"; s2 switchMove "combat_40b"; s2 disableAI "anim"; s2 attachTo [s1,[0,0,0]]; ) and added on ȚinitȚ box of an AI and nothing happends.

The gent hey dude well first no i don't know 3d modelling in blender but you don't need that for static poses :D and here it is for you a tutorial on how to make static poses from start to finish

DireOne, my man (don't worry, not here to say all your anims are broke like everyone else lol working 100% for me, always have) I was just wondering if you could point me in the direction of a decent guide to making custom static poses? Everything I have found is both for animations and also assumes you have knowledge of 3d modelling in Blender, which I do not - I am starting from step one.

yup,and i imput what you said naming the animation,the first one just put his gun down like a default guy,the second one ran to a certain spot and stood there

ok i use this method mate, first i name a unit give him whatever you want i use s1 for example than i use this command in the init or in the debug console ingame

s1 switchMove "anim_name"; s1 disableAI "anim"

so,i just started to explore the animations and such and installed your pack,using the same BI command for the normal ambient animations and such,but it gives me an error that it isnt recognised,is there a specific different command for your animations?

@Marcel just check the mod folders mate :) in there you can find a folder with all the poses pics and the name :D
