Over 3300 Science
Unless i'm mistaken that's nearly 10 times anyone else @ emperor difficulty (lol).
Haha oh I wish. I didn't get far enough to figure hwo to do custom textures for the game. If Civ 5 still remains popular and modding is still a thing for Civ 5, I plan on expanding this mod and possible make a few more boinicle mods and unique skins will be part of that.
I do plan on doing those sometime soon, however, I just need the ideas for their UU's and UA and the like, so if you'd help me come up with those, that would be...
Oh, I see your discussion thread ;) I am looking at it now
I am great at map making, so i could try to make Metru Nui for you.
also, I wanted more than 1 religion, so I kind of added Hauism as a pseudo religion. Technically the Hau was the symbol of Mata Nui before the Ignika, but as I said, I wanted multiple religions. I was tempted to do a religion on each of the 6 Kanohi from the 1st series, but couldn't really find good images. Plus religion was never really fleshed out well in Bionicle. Other than the existence of the Great Temple, there's not uch to say about religious practice or belief or anything in the canon
Hahaha I have thoughts of my own for all of that. That's a ton of civs xD and who knows if civ 5 mods will still stay relavant once Civ 6 comes out. However, please type up your thoughts on the the traits, UA/UB, and post it in a discussion and let me know. I'd like to do mroe Civ & Bionicle mods, but a lot of the work I put in was just coming up with good ideas so I didn't waste time while coding. Also keep in mind this project took me some 40+ hours with all of the work, but I did enjoy it.
Also if you like doing mapmaking, I really need a good Metru Nui map for this mod, and if you made it for me, I'll give you credit and include it in the mod, as I'm not great at mapmaking (or even make the Matoran Civil War Scenario if you are a true Bionicle Knurd ;) )

Also I think the lack of ability to get universites in Inland cities can get a good deterrent keeping people form settling potentional powerful cites inland.
Still seeing some problems with Nuju's starts, especially the AI which rarely settles snow cities (if Nuju was only a bit more expanisve, but that does not fit his character)
I have now Played full early games (150 turns+) with all the civs (and full games with 3 of them) so ill drop some thoughts on each one of them in a discussion. warning: Its over 1500 words long (I wrote for legit 90minutes non-stop I dont know what happened to me)
Yes I can move the requirement to Libraries! I did not even think of that, thank you!
And yeah, in theory, a Ga-Metru worked fish tile in the capital would get like 5 Food, 3 production (pantheon), 2 gold, 3 science, and 4 faith, which is like a Barrier Reef, but hey, Ga-Metru is very very tied to the ocean
Hmmm I did not consider that. I will remove the coastal requirement from that then, but if I did so, would I want to nerf the coastal tile bonus?
@Baldur
Wow! Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the mod
@1011011 Everyone remembers things differently, I happen to primarily be visual. I remember what I see more than anything.
If you are playing on a higher difficult, sometimes they don't.
The weird thing about the AI was that it didn't contact me for anything, positive or negative. Unless there's an "Isolationist" personality and Po got it on a 10 or something...
Ah shoot, now that you say that, I think I reverse engineered the code wrong, as I meant to have it have one snow tile within the borders for the Tower of Thought. I should also add in a note that it does not require a mountain within 2(?) tiles.
Well, the AI not contacting is just the way their bias' go. If their values on a scale of 10 can differ from the original value by +/-2, so AI can vary between matches. I think that is just the AI being the AI.
And my second city was both on snow and next to a mountain, I was able to build one there. The civipedia entry also says it still needs a mountain to build it? Just something you forgot to change or is it supposed to need snow and a mountain? Come to think of it, that 2nd city's mountain was a snowy one as well.
I noticed something else kind of odd as well, my random game had one of the AIs as the brown culture/builder dudes (Po Metru) and he never contacted me in diplomacy. No, wait. He did. Once, to trade luxeries. But... well, none of the "Don't settle cities near me" or... anything like that. And we were very close to each other.
I'm fairly sure he never contacted me after that first time either.
Hahaha well, snow civs do have their niche
I'm not sure why that doesn't stop, but the audio in the game is buggy sometimes for me too and I'm not sure if that's a mod thing or I missed something in the coding.
Was it buildable? Now that I think of it, I'm not sure if I tested whether or not the "snow within borders of the city" code was working or not :,D
Please let me know it there are any other bugs and I hope you enjoy the mod!
The War music also kept going for a few turns after I was out of the war.
And I forgot to check if the Tower of Thought did anything odd now that I think on it. Whoops.
Did you get it running?
Hahaha that's what everyone says when they play civ! :P Anyways, yes please let me know if that works
Go to the mediafire link. It is a .zip file. When you unzip it, you will get the folder that will be titled 'Metru Nui (v4)'. Copy that folder into your MODS folder and see if that lets you play the mod.
It probably crashed because your computer got overwhelmed (it happened to me twice today because long story short I moved all my mods out of their folder and Civ wanted to redownload them) The file is 70 MB, but it would be difficult and long for me to split the whole thing apart into 8 different mods.
I added a download link to the description, but here it is too. Try this and let me know if this works: https://www.mediafire.com/?wp07nhnqvj8zl49
@Yellow Cheese
I updated the mod, so Nuju's start bias should be fixed. I have not tested it yet however, but my issue was that I gave it Tundra bias and Desert avoid, but civ only lets you do 1, so Nuju was doing desert avoid I believe
So its either that or it doesn't play nice with Windows 7 or DirectX9.
And it is a civ5mod file, and I have winzip, but its not giving an option to unpack it. *Shrug*
