The mod is abandoned it has been almost 9 years since Modder uploaded it in 2016. There's nothing to update the mod to be compatible with Starbound patch. It's incompatible with the current Starbound patch

Amazing mod! Bike makes my game laggy and barelly playable so paying 35k for a better alternative is very reasonable and balanced.

otherwise you use the summoner thing like any other item you use. (right-click i think - i've not played in a while)
if it's not working then it's a bug. post it in the BUG report discussion. doubt they'll respond though, been a looooooong while

if you're asking if there's an avali pod, then no. otherwise, it works with the avali mod

These still work REALLY well for how long they haven't been updated. They even protect you from asphyxiation, poison and lava despite the description listing that as "planned"

The only issue I have with them is that it's very easy to lose them if you warp back to your ship or otherwise drop them into lava/in a cave/in space, since they don't automatically return to the pod controller

you really think they would? it's been in the plans for 5 years and it still hasn't been added. other players have said they'd take on this mod again and update it with the other races, but nothing ever came of it. instead, they just made pods for their own custom species. so yay.

So my game was crashing upon loading like TemOfTheYear's comment after not playing since december and I tried unsubscribing from this mod just to see sjnce it was last updated almost two years ago- and it worked. I think this mod was making my game unplayable :(

this is a really cool looking mod which i have seen other people use with great success. Problem is... is dosn't work for me. I dont have any other mods or anything like that. I really want to use this ad, but on start up, starbound crashes. i didnt have this problem before i got the mod, and when i experimentally unsubscribed, it worked fine... but no explorer pods. Pls Fix! This mod has loads of potential.

Maybe you're missentering? You know, you can sit at passanger position in your explorer pod.

Works well for me... other than having to enter/exit a few times to get the engines going. :)
