People saying this mod should be part of the base game... let me tell you a story of a time called beta... so many nice features and so much potential removed...
Davoker Apr 22, 2023 @ 8:23pm
This is practically compatible with everything, although it could be 100% compatible if instead of using "replace" it would use "add" in what it does, however, I doubt anyone would have problems with this, I recommend using "Vanilla World Variety" with this mod.
Ashtar Aug 4, 2022 @ 6:15pm
oh My Gosh this Amazing mod ty so much...

Ashtar Aug 4, 2022 @ 6:36am

a must have mod if you played no man's sky.
Ribbons0121R121 May 14, 2020 @ 4:09pm
its a simple mod but even with the limitations its a nice little quality of life mod
XX // Apr 16, 2020 @ 5:50am
@cutieryan the mod author may not be updating it but i was playing with this mod as recently as this month, so it seems to be compatible
8UmrU5h Aug 7, 2019 @ 11:16am
this should be in the base game tbh
VOSA Jul 1, 2019 @ 9:12am
Amazing mod! Is there any tools i can unpack the ".world" file?
cutieryan Jun 18, 2019 @ 1:37pm
So... does this mod affect only vanilla planets and leave modded ones alone?

Also, is this compatible with 1.4? Just asking because this mod hasn't been updated since 2016.
warmainiac Dec 30, 2018 @ 12:19pm
i think this mod may have some issues with FU because i am stuck in intro mission using slime race. (log that i know for sure has some bugs is for diffrent mod(s))
Navis Dec 28, 2018 @ 8:56am
Is it still impossible to color all the blocks of a planet, and make correspond the color planet to the one in the ship navigation ?
Hildefuns Oct 25, 2018 @ 4:03pm
Does this mod affect randomly generated monsters at all? It seems after I downloaded it randomly generated monsters would not deal damage at all
Navis Aug 6, 2018 @ 11:51pm
This mod is simple, but really awesome. It makes the planet really unique and beautiful. You should support Frackin Universe and Extended Story planets.
Kave Johnson  [author] Dec 24, 2017 @ 12:28am
@ScarabParamit:

Existing planets would remain the same color scheme.

Newly generated planets will use the vanilla color schemes.
ScrambieBambie Dec 21, 2017 @ 9:29pm
What would happen if i would remove mod mid-game?
Kave Johnson  [author] Nov 28, 2017 @ 9:39pm
@DT-219 "Brass":

It only affects biome data, so probably serverside?
Ɛ> Amber <3 Nov 24, 2017 @ 11:10am
Is this mod clientside or serverside?
Kave Johnson  [author] Aug 24, 2017 @ 12:12pm
@Pencil_Cat:

This mod probably did nothing to break your game. Provide your starbound.log before you toss around accusations. This mod is far too simple to break a game.
Duke Monterier Aug 18, 2017 @ 7:35am
Any chance to make it works with FU planets?
Tanksy Jul 5, 2017 @ 3:03pm
I may be mistaken, it seems to follow the "paint" of the world, as the blocks would change color depending on where they were.
Kave Johnson  [author] Jul 4, 2017 @ 10:22pm
@Tanksy:

If that is the case, then it may be due to an update for Starbound. When I developed mods for the game, and when I wrote this description, Chucklefish had just implemented a 'feature' where naturally-colored blocks dropped the base-colored block instead of a colored variant.
Tanksy Jul 3, 2017 @ 9:31am
Your description seems misleading. It might be a combination of mods I have (Frakin' Universe and some others, though nothing that touches blocks outside of FU), but I can pick up hue-shifted blocks and place them just fine. If I dig pink dirt, I get pink dirt.
Illbohema Jun 10, 2017 @ 5:31pm
I unfortunately encountered a small problem using this mod on a lush world. Since there are tombstones occasionally scattered across them. The line of dirt underneath the tombstone seems too fickle to change it's hue to it's environment so it remains as plain old brown dirt. I understand if you wouldn't care to fix this, it's just a slight eyesore is all and I hope no other planet has this problem. Especially on a more greater scale.
Bellum May 28, 2017 @ 11:30am
Sweet. Thank you.
Kave Johnson  [author] May 28, 2017 @ 11:29am
@Memeboy Advance:

I don't see why it would cause trouble for connecting clients, given that it does not add any new assets aside from number values.
Bellum May 28, 2017 @ 5:31am
Is this mod client-side or server-side? as in, will it cause troubles if this is installed on a server and not everyone has it?
Fuyuno Apr 10, 2017 @ 12:23pm
there are no commands to trigger that, only to spawn it in =c

i stopped playing it for a really long time.. i recently started getting back on it, since it updated
Kave Johnson  [author] Apr 9, 2017 @ 8:05pm
@Fuyuno:

I don't play this game anymore, so no. Admin commands, probably.
Fuyuno Apr 6, 2017 @ 6:03am
any suggestions for mods that allows to harvest hueshifted and unique blocks without replacing them with their base blocks?
Kave Johnson  [author] Mar 9, 2017 @ 7:15pm
@ПАЛКУ ДАВАЙ!:

Try more starter planets.
TwinIndifferent Mar 8, 2017 @ 4:30am
First planet allways purple and pink :\
Nathan the Dwarven Shark Feb 11, 2017 @ 5:40am
This is amazing!

F-YEAH! BEST MOD IN SB!
Kave Johnson  [author] Sep 29, 2016 @ 12:37am
@Xelaxon:

"There should be no compatibility issues, but this mod was not designed for Frackin' Universe so it should not affect the biomes added by Frackin' Universe."
Xelaxon Sep 28, 2016 @ 6:56pm
Is this mod compatible with Frakkin Universe?
Kave Johnson  [author] Sep 24, 2016 @ 1:59am
I think I'll just start copy-pasting the exact same comment.

@Svart815:

I'm confident it's not caused by this mod regardless, but if you could do me a favor that would be great.

First, reinstall my mod.

Second, replicate the issue.

Third, follow this guide: http://pastebin.com/DZPSeXB0 (if not on Windows, skip step 0)

Please post your starbound.log file in a new comment.
Svart815 Sep 24, 2016 @ 1:30am
There is bug with new version 1.1.1, I think
My character don't teleport to starting lush planet
Kave Johnson  [author] Sep 12, 2016 @ 9:13pm
@nevercallmebyname:

There are several errors in your starbound.log file, none of which relate to my mods. Best of luck diagnosing them! :happy_creep:
SheTheTDE Sep 12, 2016 @ 9:06pm
No it's definately not your mod because now it's gone and done it again without your mod. It's a realy anoying bug.
anyway Pastebin gave me this: http://pastebin.com/1mQEPzJu

I had a problem of being randomly teleported back to my ship. I use a lot of other mods but it stopped when I removed this mod.
Almy the Alien Sep 7, 2016 @ 5:15pm
No, I mean, I was suggesting that you add that to your mod. I don't have any personal interest in trying to mod in randomized light colors.
Kave Johnson  [author] Sep 7, 2016 @ 5:11pm
@SoopaDerpcat:

Very possibly so. However, I don't want to inhibit your experience modding the game. Check biome files for light colors.
Almy the Alien Sep 7, 2016 @ 4:40pm
I don't really have any experience modding this game (one time I tried making a really simple clothing mod way back before 1.0, and I didn't get very far) but do you think it would be possible to implement randomized sunlight brightness and color?

That's an old feature that isn't around any more, and it really helped give every planet a different aesthetic. Combined with what you already have going here, it could make for some truly stunning worlds.
Kave Johnson  [author] Sep 5, 2016 @ 6:45pm
@Domascus:

There used to be more color possibilities in the vanilla game a long time ago, but there were never this amount.
Domascus Sep 5, 2016 @ 2:27pm
Wasn't this in the game a while back?
Kave Johnson  [author] Sep 1, 2016 @ 1:06pm
@p6kocka:

Most, but several used values that were not multiples of 5 so I ignored those when making this mod as my values already cover the color spectrum very well.
p6kocka Sep 1, 2016 @ 12:37pm
Thanx. Is there any chance to experience vanilla colors?
