Nice track, but I hated the last turn.

Really cool track, enjoyed the 'precog' mechanic and the polished visuals were an added treat as well.

Love it! It was such a unique twist on regular Distance levels.

I am completely blown away by this level. The memorizing part was super amusing! :DD

@Tarwik Yes...? Don't see why not baby cakes. Feel free to play any of my current or future maps, and give feedback if you wish. I love any constructive critisism I receive, and it helps me to design new tracks. Whenever I actually get to doing that.

May I try this level of yours? ;)

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad some people are at least enjoying the track. Allot of people on discord didn't seem to enjoy the concept. Memorization is a neat idea but it doesn't seem to work all that well when your racing at high speeds. I tried to place the ramps so that people could focus more on the memorization rather than the track.

Since this track seems to have gotten better reception than it originally appeared I might revisit the concept eventually, but I don't plan to edit this track anymore at this point.

As usual I plan to use any critique I receive to improve my skills on future tracks. Right now I am on vacation and don't have any fleshed out track concepts like I did with this or Quarantine.

Shameless self promotion but if you enjoy difficulty you should like my first map Quarantine.

My comments should be read upside down for better understanding.

Tl;DR Great map, can as always get better though, here was my thoughts and ideas. Keep up the good work, hope you can use this critique to make better maps

The concept was great, though like with almost everything, it can be improved. My suggestions would be to make more sequences (Not longer just more of them.) And then have much closer distance between them, maybe just one gravitationel switch here and there between the sequences just to make it fun.

Also instead of writing it (Though i know that is the easiest way) It would be even more awesome, if you could somehow show it with pictures around the track. For an example. Danger ahead signs and a brain sign for what you have to remember and such.

Allright, this might be only my opinion because i both like a nice track, but also some difficulty,
For starters, nice track! I enjoyed driving it. Much of it felt smooth and awesome.
What i liked about the map:
-Concept obviously.
-All the freaking gravitational shifting

Things i didn't enjoy on the map:
Ramps... All the ramps did was sending my car out of control. Think i restarted the run 10 times at least just because of them. (This may be more personal, but i thought i would have enjoyed it without the ramps. Gaps didn't affect me as much but a good notice would help)

First time i tried taking the run i actually thought all the green and yellow lines = barriers i had to jump over too. I was actually feeling surprised in a good way by it, since it made the map even more challenging, yet not too much so the track would get lesser enjoyable. It felt like the empty spaces got filled out. Then i found out it was just for regenerating. So sad...

I beleive things has been improved substantially for first time play throughs. I increased the lengths of several straight aways and changed all obstacle segments to have 4 sets of dodges. I think these changes have made the track relatively easier and more fun to play.

maybe the car text is too small which makes it kinda ignorable, i guess especialy newer players spend way more focus on the standard driving part than experienced players do, maybe cutting down the memory part from 5 units to 3 would help
Latapi Jul 27, 2016 @ 11:05pm
i would not remove the memory part at any cost as it is one of you key features that makes the track visibly and technically unique even if it means cutting the memory part down to 2 parts
maybe even a text at the start would do as the car stands still there and if u place sth like "read the car text advices" above the starting lights and at the same moment the car text says "pay attention to me" "i will become helpfull at certain sections" or sth

Since some more people have been able to play the map I have gotten more feedback that effectively states I didnt teach the concept well. I might rework this track to make it more clear, or perhaps remove the memorizing concept.

If you have opinions on what I should do, or how else I could improve it please tell me.
