I'm running into a bug where when you hit the daily XP limit, you can no longer do that work type due to some sort of reference error. The colonist just tries over and over again to do work, without making progress.

Can confirm that disabling prepare carefully (after game start so it's not needed anymore) fixes the issues with VSE.

Ру парни, столкнулся с такой проблемой, что периодически мои пешки переставали что либо делать. К примеру, будь то строительство или создание чего либо на рабочем месте. Они просто стояли на против, но количество требуемой "работы" не уменьшалось. Путем проб и страданий, спустя 10 дней, я в настройках мода поменял дневной лимит на обучение пешки. на угад поставил значение в 100 000. Пока работает.
Ох... сколько же нервов пришлось потратить!

@plusing123 (dragonheart): It's a known conflict with Vanilla Skills Extended. The issue is on their end. Which is what you would have learned if you read just a few comments before yours.

question does this mod throw errors and make the pawns unable to use there skills? (asking as i am getting a skill error with is annoying as it stops them from doing anything connected to that skill or lag in the case of melee)

just asking here to see as i plan on asking all the mods i have that mess with skills in a way

yeah mad skills+ supremacy, until mod author decides to do the same. Or atleast ask the guy to integrate his code in this mod

I'm running both VSE and Mad Skills and once I disabled Prepare Carefully, the freezing, "standing", and other issues I had been having stopped. Would recommend anyone having this issue who's running Prepare Carefully to disable it if possible.

interestingly, this bug will cause the pawn to gain exp insanely fast for those using RPG Level up mod. Just setting the pawn to do any action will cause it to start gaining exp fast

Ahh is this missing compatibility the reason for my pawns just standing somewhere (menacingly of cause) instead of actually performing the planend deed?

I just ran into this too and it seems like a work around for this might be to just unlock the daily xp gain limit by setting it to 999999 as the 'standing' only occures if the daily xp limit is reached

@Adamantor: if you're using Vanilla Skills Extended, this is why. There's a bug in their compatibility patch for Mad Skills.

Well, interesting thing- my pawns started to often keep standing after doing a task for a while- turned out that they get stuck after reaching learning limit for the day- after increasing the cap the IMMEDIATELY resumed tasks

hi. just read your comment about the incompatibility of VSE with this mod. in the steam workshop ive found a mod called "mad skills+" which seems to add new features and is also compatible with VSE.
so could i use that one? does it have the same features as this mod here? i mainly care about the tiered skill decrease, would leave the rest as in vanilla.

@зомб: Most likely. Vanilla Skills Extended specifically is known to be incompatible; the problem is, ironically, with their Mad Skills compatibility patch.

Hello, are you planning to change the "Perfect Memory" of the Anomaly DLC to be like the "Great Memory" from that mod? I am using a translator, so my sentences might be awkward.

I am seeing the same issue Qloshae is, with pawns failing to do any tasks when their skill xp maxes out. When the pawn tries to do a task with the maxed out skill, I get a "exception in jobdriver tick" error. It seems this is related to "Vanilla Skills Extended", then? Any chance of a compatibility fix? I really love both of these mods.

Mod should work fine in Play Together, the multi-player one is far more buggy tho. Also had issues with VSE, seems to be that it doesn't like it when you hit the xp-limit. Pawns end up just standing around instead of working. Presumably, the issue is on their end.

i do use vanilla skills expanded, so that's it. That is precisely why i never throw blame around when modded games have problems. frankly speaking i'm an idiot but at least im a calm and self-aware one.

@Knight Of Acedia, @[82AD] Silentwolf123: Once again... Do you use Vanilla Skills Expanded? Because if you do, the bug is on their side - in the compatibility patch for Mad Skills (although I'm not sure on the specifics, it looks fine at first glance).

no idea why or what's actually causing it but i was getting a "Exception ticking pawn System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error that seems to be gone after disabling this mod.

It does appear to be the skill cap as mentioned below, i changed it from 4000 to 100000 and drafted my pawn and undrafted and they carried on like nothing had happened.

Can confirm that the standing around bug seems to only happen when the pawn hits the daily XP cap. Rather than continuing to work with reduced XP gain the pawn instead just stops working entirely. If you up the limit the issue is postponed until they hit that new higher limit.

Anyone with madskills+VSE and is having jobdriver errors | standing around pawns. If they freeze can you try changing madskills daily xp from 4k to like 100000 and get the error to reoccur?

a bug happens where a pawn is in the middle of a task like cooking, building, researching etc they suddenly stop doing any progress in the task and just sit there like they are doing the task even if the progress bar does not fill up. nothing seems to fix it and can sometimes only be temporarly fixed

Thank you for the great mod! Just wanted to throw in a suggestion, not sure if it’s planned or not. Anomaly spoilers: One of the new Creepy Joiners, the perfect human, comes with the Perfect Memory trait. 0% skill decay. Would you consider changing the behavior of this trait like you did with Great Memory? Maybe like 100% global learning factor? Thanks again!

Seconding the bug, spawn stands instead of working. Turning the mod off fixes it.
