you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

Yo!! This works. People who say it doesn't might have some conflicts with other mods. I'm playing on vanilla so it worked for me.

Some peeps have reported that this doesn't work anymore and ofc they don't provide their starbound logs, so we'll have to take their word for it.

Seems like it isn't working. I'm not sure what I can provide to give you a hint as to what went wrong but I can recall what was happening. I was playing the Avikan custom race from Elithian Alliance mod and died to an npc bandit underwater in an oceanic world. I dropped all blocks/liquids/tech/buff foods/and crafting materials. I tried this again using the kill button reward from kevin (frackin universe) and it also dropped items on death.

Sooo many Fking time I have fly tech and digging large hole into the world for fast travel down JUST TO HAVE ONE TINY BLOCK INTERCEPT MY FLYING DOWN AND KILL ME DROP EVERYTHING. I sooo goin to grab this

I REALLY want to use this mod but no matter what I do if it is on the server I get a mismatched asset error. It is installed on my side and the server. If i remove it from both I can play just fine. I am only using FU and RPG growth. Anyone else run into this?

Losing my stuff always winds up being a massive chore rather than actually making the game harder. I appreciate you posting this!

now i won't try and go /admin whenever my health reaches 10%! it was so annoying to drop items so i just avoided it by going god-mode...

That is great! Death is nothing, but drop is maddeningly.

I honestly hate having to consider what I'll bring and possibly losing two hours worth of loot, I hope this doesn't crash in 1.4 like the other mods that make this change

Incredibly handy, but defeats the caution about what you'll bring along with you, my inventory was super full and without the real risk of dying, I got a little bored. Still though, very useful for anyone wanting to enjoy the game as a sort of mid point or accidentally get looted by a friend. Not too easy and not too hard. Well done.
