Where is illusion? I can't find it anywhere on spotify or youtube.
Green Slime Jul 31 @ 9:45am
is it just me or some of the songs are gone?
Andreas Jul 31 @ 8:06am
Lone Hunter is so perfect. The sweet, "meowing" guitar, the perfect blend of minor notes, the supportive, but non-distracting background themes keeping it from sounding repetitive. I get excited every time it comes on. <3

Remember Our Past is absolutely incredible, thank you Peppsen.
Such an awesome and talented musician, I listen to the p-music songs almost every day, even when not playing rimworld.

Hello,
If I subscribe to this music and use it in-game,
I’d like to know whether there will be any copyright issues
when using it during a livestream or including it in a YouTube video.
Could you please confirm if the music can be freely used in streaming and video content?
Deggial Jul 30 @ 11:46am
Ah, okay.
Thank you, Peppsen, for the explanation!

Oh well, then it was a VERY happy accident. Perfect, actually! :D
Peppsen  [author] Jul 30 @ 11:20am
The only context that can be set is tense (raid), time of day and season . The rest are just happy accidents!
Deggial Jul 30 @ 8:02am
Okay.
I have to know!

Is the music in RimWorld actually context-sensitive?

Two of my pawns just broke up.
The music immediately started playing a very sad piano piece.
Despite the sad cause, I laughed so hard!

Was this a lucky (sorry guys!) coincidence or deliberate?
If the latter, well done guys, well done Tynan!

Your work is absolutely fantastic. This stuff fits seamlessly into the vanilla soundtrack. You have absolutely outdone yourselves!
Natrat Jul 30 @ 4:16am
I was expecting this to not be too good (nothing beats the originally soundtrack for this game, it's amazing), but wow it's actually very fitting for Rimworld's atmosphere and also very good production. Have a thumbs up!

Honestly have had this mod on for years and it has never left my active playlist. Great stuff, highly recommend.
utata Jul 29 @ 5:59am
omg this is one of the top tier mods I've ever added.
thanks for making this.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 29 @ 2:00am
Only Anomaly and Odyssey have specific music assigned to them during the Anomaly event and when in Orbit. I have considered adding more music when in Orbit but that's about it. To be fair I haven't really played the DLCs that much, I don't even own Anomaly. This mod was initially just meant for myself so I just did what I wanted, but now it's more for you guys. If there's music you'd like me to add I will consider it for sure.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 29 @ 1:52am
Glad you like it! United is more of a fun mashup than a remix. It features one of my tracks and uses samples from 5 official tracks. Everyone will have tracks they like and dislike. You never really said what your suggestion was, but if it was to remove it, it's not something I do unless multiple people suggest that.
YakumooYukari Jul 28 @ 10:51pm
I have played Rimworld for 1.2k hrs, and recently I finally decide to give unofficial music a try, and P-music wasn't a good result at first. But... man! After listening to it during gameplay for a few days, it's like a trigger inside my heart has been turned on, and suddenly almost every track in P-music magically became great. Remember our past, Cruel world, A place of our own... It's just getting better and better like fucking drugs. I couldn't stop longing for them, now I immediately switch to the next when it plays official track. But I have a little suggestion, it's just my opinion though, the track United seems to be a different version of a official track, but it's not a good remix I think. It's not that bad, it's just not as good as so many original soundtrack you've created. My respect, and wish you the best.
Jones Jul 28 @ 9:17pm
Absolute must have mod. Arguably overpowered..
Lovecraft Jul 28 @ 9:16pm
Considered making DLC-related music? String theory, a twisted path and baubles play in my head constantly. They fit with the themes so well. Also its a shame biotech & ideology never got music, a gap modders could fill.
The new song illusion is easily up there with the best tracks btw.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 28 @ 12:10pm
Thank you! That means a lot. Lately I haven't been feeling great about my music. I continuously increase the bar of what I consider as a releasable track and I don't feel like I have the same passion or creativity as before. In some ways it feels like I've peaked years ago and now I am just rehashing old ideas. I am really happy you are enjoying the new tracks since that makes it all worth it <3
Gunseeker Jul 28 @ 11:41am
Commenting here just to say I've been listening to ur music for about 5 years now and I mean it when I saw Illusion and Remember Our Past are some of your best songs yet man, they are absolutely amazing
Ascension_X Jul 27 @ 2:45pm
@Pijan Just read Peppsen's response a couple of comments down :)
Pijan Jul 27 @ 8:11am
Mate I love this music so much. Could you please upload Remember Our Past to youtube? I can't find it anywhere.
A-Δ Jul 27 @ 4:17am
Absolute must-have.
MathBuster Jul 25 @ 10:48am
The music is on par and at times even better than the original soundtrack, and fits Rimworld so perfectly that the tracks may as well be in the game to begin with. Some of my favorite standout tracks are 'One Thousand Stars', 'Rustic Ranging', 'Lone Hunter' and 'Cruel World'. Amazing work altogether!
Peppsen  [author] Jul 24 @ 9:32am
As said before, I will release all tracks at once to YouTube and other services. Still working on a couple for the update, it is just taking longer than I hoped. Usually I release them all at once to the mod too but I decided to add them as they get finished so you don't have to wait. You'll just have to be a little patient, I will release them soon! :D
没吃呢 Jul 24 @ 5:58am
so good! I like this!
DangKhoai Jul 23 @ 1:11am
@Peppsen it's the What We Once Had, it's kinda not giving RimWorld vibe, the rest is awesome :D
Shakeron Jul 22 @ 1:09pm
Can you pls add new track Illusion at your youtube? =)
Thebrokenbucket Jul 21 @ 6:05pm
pretty good
zero Jul 21 @ 8:00am
i was very skeptical to adding extra music, but after i added it now i absolutely love vast majority of the tracks and they genuinely fit in perfectly so thanks :)
PsyPaul Jul 20 @ 10:23pm
Music is so good! fits the game so much. 10/10
Mirodin333 Jul 19 @ 1:13pm
Anyway thanks for the music manager recommend. Its not perfect, but at least allows me to escape it when I start noticing the repetitiveness.
Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 4:12pm
But that sounds like something more for developers to fix. But since my save is modded, I cant even report it, although I am pretty sure its not the mod doing it.
Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 4:07pm
Some fitting music to fill the playlist would be nice, I mainly have problem with the variety. Would be nice for when I am actually in orbit.

Though the game should just start new tracks depending on the map you are looking at "right now". I am in a prairie and have space music going on, it doesnt fit sadly.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 18 @ 3:58pm
Yes, I tested and it's pretty straightforward to add more tracks to the "Orbital Relax" music sequence. I am not sure how I want to deal with it though as said in previous comment.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 18 @ 3:47pm
Seems like it's pretty easy to add. Although I am wondering if I should add some tracks specifically for Orbit instead to keep this mod closer to Vanilla and make a separate mod for just skipping the sequence altogether, but that might be hard to do.. Not sure how common it is to make an asteroid base?
Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 3:40pm
And yeah, its 4 songs, wabi sabi and sky farmer sound so similar. No wonder its so annoying.

Guess no way to "add" your music into the orbital relax "playlist"?
Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 3:39pm
Thanks for the effort. Will try it out.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 18 @ 3:36pm
Tested this a bit and you do in fact only get Odyssey tracks in orbit.
Under temperature bottom right it should say "Orbit" if the game considers you being in orbit.
These tracks play under "Orbital Relax".

<songs>
<li>Floating_Points</li>
<li>Low_Planetary_Orbit</li>
<li>Sky_Farmer</li>
<li>Wabi_Sabi</li>
</songs>

While using the built-in music debugger it will always play one of those tracks in orbit when choosing "Next Track". However Music Manager next track does not respect the sequence and will play a normal track when choosing next track. Although the track that plays after that will again honor the Orbital music sequence.

Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 3:35pm
Yeah might be it. I am of mind to just turn off the music and put the soundtrack up on youtube lol.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 18 @ 3:00pm
Oh actually I found it now. It's a music sequence. I believe it's something that was added for Anomaly. When you are in the Anomaly scenario thingy, not exactly sure how it works since I never got that DLC lol, you will transition into a music sequence which consists of specific Anomaly tracks. You will need to transition out of that music sequence to get "normal" tracks again. I guess there is a potential bug in the game then, causing the player to never exit the Orbital music sequence if you have a secondary base there, since you never actually leave orbit.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 18 @ 2:51pm
I had a quick look in Odyssey's SongDef folder and it looks like the new tracks are added with a comment of "Orbital Relax" and "Orbital Combat". Not exactly sure what defines them as such since it isn't defined in the xml file. I am guessing since you have a base on an asteroid you will always have that "Orbital" tag set to true. This needs C# coding knowledge to figure out though and I don't have that.
Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 2:21pm
Would love a "next track" button lol.
Mirodin333 Jul 18 @ 2:20pm
I am not sure if issue with the mod, or odyssey DLC, but for some reason I am getting 95% just the Wabi Sabi (or was it sky farmer, they sound the same). I got p-music because I wanted variety, but for some reason its pretty much only this one since I made a secondary base on an asteroid. I usually got that soundtrack only when I was in space (even then it maybe was a bit too often, but at least I wasnt constantly in space).

Anyway since then, even if I never actually go into the asteroid base screen, its just wabi sabi track over and over, with very infrequent changes.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 18 @ 8:20am
Many of my tracks use the piano, not quite sure which track you are referring to. Anyway, if there is one or a couple of tracks you don't like the easiest way to circumvent that issue is to use the music manager mod and then just skip whenever it plays.

DangKhoai Jul 18 @ 6:38am
This mod is awesome! But I have problem with the boring piano theme, make me want to sleep, lol
sheeps Jul 15 @ 5:24pm
Just want to say thank you for making this mod and this music. It really enhances the game. Authors, I hope the top side of your pillow always stays cool.
Master Anuca Jul 15 @ 6:44am
Would you upload the two new tracks on your YT soon, Peppsen? Would love to always listen to them.
Peppsen  [author] Jul 15 @ 1:30am
Yes, music glitching is most likely caused by another mod. Although I did check and apparently the music glitching with Ambient Rim got fixed yesterday. There could be other similar mods though causing the same issue. Do you have any other mods that add sounds?
Ludicrous_Speed Jul 14 @ 10:59pm
Been getting that issue on other music mods even back when Anomaly released
