you need to update the mod to patch 360.1

@Chitoge Senpai as with my previous post to penis worm, the mod should still work. I have never had to modify it to account for any updates to date and when I last used the mod on my server beginning of this year it still worked for me then. If you are having trouble it may be worth uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch. That was a likely fix for many non-functioning mods back when I first created this mod

@penis worm. My mod worked for me when I last used it earlier this year and as there hasn't been any major updates (not that that has mattered with previous major updates) since then as far as I'm aware then it should still work just fine

No worries, just thought I'd at least try to assuage any concerns if they thought it was my mod and even if it was, that it wasn't the cause of the problems they were having.

My guess is they may have joined another server at some point that did have the mod they saw because you do get auto subscribed to any mods any server you join has running.

Glad they got it sorted in the end anyway.

odd, because the "taming sedative" they had seen (never actually subbed to this mod personally and they were joining my server and they had never done modding for ark in the past) was listed as a mod.

yep @TheOrangeBottleCap, How I created the mod was using the official devkit, copied an already in game item and simply adjusted the appropriate values to achieve the effects listed in the description.

friend of mine saw a mod in their mod list like yesterday and now their pc is having issues and they're going on and on about viruses and i just wanted to mention it to put it to bed that this good ol mod isn't behind it lol
cool the mod still works even without an update since 2017

@raptorguy576 Thanks for the praise. A lower power version is certainly a worthy suggestion. However I am currently done with Ark. Played it pretty much non stop back in the day and as such am still burned out on it. But if I made a return then I would certainly consider updating the mod and if I did I would definitely include your idea. In other words never say never but I wouldn't hold your breath :)

Thanks for this mod, it was super helpful to tame everything from a giga to an ovis. I wish you could update this mod tho to maybe include a lower power version of this for lower levels.

Just a note for @Jaz - I tried this mod on Valguero as well and i didn't have any issues using the taming sedative on any of the dinos that were available on the map itself, including the abberant ones.

I just added this cant wait to use it on my server.

Just to confirm for those reading the comments below mine: this mod works on Valguero and i've been using it on my server for a while now without issue. No update to mod required.

Oops, forgot to mention that I have actually reinstalled the mod literally several times total by now. Done various updates, restarts, etc. to the server. But again, since two other mods aren't being added to Valguero I am very inclined to believe that it's a host issue, not an issue with your mod.

@Jaz Yeah, it's not just me, but definitely everyone it seems. As for the issue, it's essentially as if the mod doesn't exist. Right now we have 10 base mods all maps on my cluster have, from there Taming Sedative is one of said base mods. But it loads in mod count as having one less on all maps except Rag right now, and that one less being counted apparently is Taming Sedative. But Valguero does have two other mods, so I've talked with the owner and I'm personally under the assumption it may be a host issue or something.

@Canis Lupis In the past, on occasion, I've had mods that would not download properly, so if it's not working for everyone one on the server it might be worth removing and reinstalling on the server or if it only you then try that on your pc. I'm curious though, is it that the recipe is not appearing at all or just the the item itself doesnt work?

@Ich Very odd, then. Could potentially be an issue with the server I'm on. I'll have to talk with the server owner about that, if so.

The mod only make changes to existing stats within the Ark Dev Kit, as such there is no source code to be had and anyone could recreate this mod if they have any familiarity with the dev kit. I have no issue if anyone wishes to do so.

@Canis Lupus testet on Valguero it works and the most open source is realy bad

Any chance you could maybe put this into Open Source in the event any other willing devs may want to update and improve on this mod? It's a great one, just would be awesome if it worked on the newer maps too. Haha.

Thanks for the update Canis Lupus I will update the description to reflect this. I will probably not be updating this mod to work with it as I havent played Ark in so long and have no interest in this game anymore.

Just for anyone trying to add this mod to Val, it doesn't work for Valguero due to being very outdated. Bit of a heads up so people don't waste their time.

Sorry to dissapoint ^bdc but I dont have the time or inclination to make any changes to my mod, but you can check out the posts currently around page 10 of these comments where some were experemienting with using commands to modify some of the requirements. I dont know if they ever did work properly or not as I never had occasion to try them for myself.

I tried twice, It does nt detect we have the requirement to unlock the engram. I still can spawn it too.

Try uninstalling the mod from the server and reinstalling it from scratch. This seems to be the best advice for any mod that misbehaves
