Description
A sedative designed to aid in the taming process

Mod ID: 711047840

Effects
Adds 500 to Torpor over 15 seconds.
Decreases Food by approx 450 over 3 seconds (this only has this much of an effect on an unconsious dinos hunger levels. Conscious dinos are able to resist the hunger inducing effects and cannot be used to help with passive taming).
Affects creatures with different metabolic rates to different degrees.

Ingredients
15 Narcotics
10 Stimulants
10 Spoiled Meat
50 Fiber
2 Rare Flowers
2 Rare Mushrooms

Requires level 30 to learn the engram which costs 12 points and is made directly in your backpack now (Mortar & Pestle or Chemistry Bench are no longer required).

Needless to say this item is not really recommended for human consumption, but hey, if you fancy it, knock yourself out.

Notes:
- Due to either the Ark Dev Kit limitations or more likely my understanding of how it works, I am currently unable to have the same level of control over how much 'Food' is lost between conscious and unconscious dinos. If I set it to drop 'Food' by 450 on an awake dino it will completely wipe out the Food bar entirely on an unconscious one. So I have to set it to -2.25 for awake dinos instead which equates to just around 450 on an unconscious Dino. If I ever find a way to resolve this I will have it so it has the same effect on both conscious and unconscious.

Can we adjust the requirements to craft it with an override code? I have done that with other mods, but they provided the code, I just had to adjust the ingredients and amounts. I just want this to cost kinda of expensive for my server. Thanks for any help.

My whole mod was created using the Ark Dev Kit. As such there isnt really anything to make public. Just a copy of an already existing item with some variables tweaked. The hard part, the part I'm unfamiliar with, will be to get it so that all passive tames will accept it as a food that tames them.

hm oky. and what about to make the files public so others can try it?

Sorry to disappoint @Cursed Radiance but thats beyond the scope of the mod and if I'm honest I wouldnt know now how to add that to item. My experience with the dev kit is pretty limited and as I'm not that into Ark anymore don't have the impetus to learn more. I will however endeavor to at least keep this mod functioning as is

@garie: Can you do a last Update for this awesome mod? the ability to "feed" a sedative a passive tame. so they can tamed faster too?

Appreciate the response, I'll try that. Thank you

I think it is indeed a 'you issue'. Although I have indeed moved on largely from Ark, I do still run a cluster of servers for family and have no issues at all restarting the server for them. I do run a dedicated server though so if you are running a non-dedicated one then that could be the issue but I don't imagine there would be any difference between running a ded/non-dedi to be honest.

Hope you do get your issue sorted but I can recommend deleting the mod and reinstalling it from scratch, that has solved some other issues with both this and other mods for me at times.

I think I read how the creator of this mod has moved on from ARK, but just in case...I've noticed upon server restart that all my Sedatives get deleted. Is this just a me issue or something that can potentially be fixed?

Amazing Mod, Garie! I'd love to see this mod update, perhaps maybe make a Sedative Arrow! I have now tamed a bunch of dinosaurs very quickly. This makes my Singleplayer World Taming much more easy!!! Thanks! -Mr. Numb
