It doesn't work anymore. It goes to a black screen, then thorws us back to the main menu, with the option to reconnect leading to the same result.

If you want to just practice in game mechanics or how to use different abilities, you can host a private lobby with a password and enable cheats and add bots that way. I have no plans on implementing actual bots that play, though, since that's a lot of work and there's a lot of more important issues to address before that.
