after 50 days it was unable to load the save and i lost it ......

So buggy, stay away from this one. Had a 3 year long world, went into ruins and died, tried loading and world generated an extra cave level.
So instead of surface -> caves -> ruins.
Surface -> caves -> CAVES -> ruins.
It was a ruins run I was doing to use all my gems. So my 20 green, orange, yellow, krampus sack and other items. Gone.

As of 26/2/22 reloading the save by F9 on SW makes tidal pools bug out and become invisible/dissapear. They come back if you quit to the main menu and reload the save but it's still annoying.

I pressed F9 during Wilson's death, also coincidently between the chancing from day to night, and the loading process finally comes out as a result of 'talker.lua' default.
Even after I cut and stick the lua document, that bug still exists.
I wonder if there is any other way that can help with the situation?

It doesn't working very well. When i'm dead, i press f9 immediately but it starts me from the touch stone! Even my death animation wasn't over, i'm quickly press F9 but it start me from touch stone, again and again. I think we never activate the touch stones if we want to use this mod correctly. I was 212 day but all is lost! what can i do now?

what i can offer now, as part of the community, until the author finds an opportunity to fix bug with reseting default starting season (for DST it's as autumn/spring): in a singleplayer game, you will need to go down in the dangeon twice every time - go down, go up and only then go down to explore, calmly using quick save/loading

Hey, how do I save in Mac? You solved the problem 1 year ago, but I have forgoten what the key is. Sorry for asking again but it's been a lot since I don't play the game.

Is there any way to disable auto saving so that the manual save doesn't get overwritten by it?

I'm now using this mod in combination with "save slot mod" (dying does not erase your save.) This does everything I want.

Is it supposed to allow for reloading after death? I tried saving, charging a monster, hitting reload as Wilson fell to the ground, and it started me over with a new world.

D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dont_starve\mods\workshop-664185844
(if you are using windows).
Just change "key == GLOBAL.KEY_F4" or "key == GLOBAL.KEY_F9".

You can easily change the keys by modifying modmain.lua in Steam/steamapps/common/dont_starve/mods/workshop-664185844

The load button should be F9 (F6 is next to F5, and there is high chance of pressing the wrong button).

Sometimes when reloading with F6 left clicking things does not pick them up. Usually have to restart game to get it to work right.
