I've just finished a quick playtest on the workshop subscription; and I'm happy to say I seem to have managed not to mess things up at the final hurdle -- it's working and ready to go!

The fact that this mod just somehow manages to work through thick and thin when game updates break countless other mods is truly a testament to it.

Admittedly, I haven't thoroughly tested the mod on B42. I just played through until I had a handful of different upgraded weapons, and was reasonably satisfied that the mod is still doing the same things it's always done.

If there's any unexpected behaviours or bugs for particular weapon modifiers (which I don't necessary expect is the case), we'll find that out when more people get to play it on B42.

Anyway, I'll be back later, with a link for the B42 version once it's uploaded. Good night!

I'm back to report exactly what anyone familiar with this mod should already have assumed:

It just works.

I've sent an email to @electroglyph with a link to a Google Drive, containing my "fixed" B42-compatible version of his mod (i.e. with the folder structure updated) , and invited him to use it to update this mod whenever and if ever he would like to do so.

I'll upload the B42-compatible version to the Workshop soon for people to use in the meanwhile - and I'll take it down as soon as the original is updated (or as soon as electroglyph says he'd prefer it be taken down).

I'll probably upload it sometime tomorrow, though (it's 2:45 in the morning here, and I'm going to bed) .

When you get an upgrade, the weapon repairs itself. So, no but it does make them last longer technically speaking!

This works in 41.77, however it seems to have an interesting side effect. I cleared out a horde of over 300 zombies with fire, while equipped with a spear. I didn't use the spear, just held it while running around in circles waiting for the zombies to burn to death. My spear kept levelling up from zombies dying due to fire. I'll call it a positive bug.

I think I have a fix for the Condition bug, would anyone be willing to test it for me?

Condition bug:
prefix grants higher-than-original Condition bonus, sets Condition to new max; later, suffix grants other-than-Condition bonus, sets Condition to original max

Bear in mind modifying somebody's content and reuploading it without their explicit permission is disingenuous and insulting to the modder. It's better to ask them beforehand, which unless you know how to ring up whatever clink this fellow's in, seems rather difficult to do.

I don't inherently care if people reupload my work (as long as credit is given) but my viewpoint isn't the same as another modder's.

@Xylorph it might just be with a specific mod you're using? It could be certain modifiers too though. So far the only weapon I've had break is a weapon from Re:Mod, though it's not even all the weapons in that mod that break so it's likely a specific modifier? In any case you may want to try some testing.

Nvm looks like once your weapon has "Vorped" you cant attach it to spears.

Anyone know what happens when you attach a weapen with enhancement to a spear? Does the new spear gain the enhancement or is it lost forver?

Basically I have an Indestructable machete and I'm wondering if I attach it to a spear will I lost that? Or would the new spear also be indestructable, or would detaching the machete return it as indestructable?
