I'm happiest when Mass Effect can infect all my games so thanks for this mod. My Shepard was missing her Asari :steamhappy:

So would it be possible to maybe update this a bit and make it so if you use a outfit like the new jack outfit or the anarchy's children dlc that her neck isnt a twig and doesnt leave a gap.

We're supposed to be killing the aliens, dammit!

thanks kjckiesh, that's very kind of you! :)

Just read through this mods description, very clever thinking on solving the static look problem by shrinking the model & letting character eyes clip through, sure the rest of the face doesn't move but even just eyes will make the character look more alive. Nice work =)

BROTHERS AND SISTERS! IT HAS BEGUN

hi i don't plan to make anymore mods after javik, but for quarian you can make do with the in game stuff and some mods for now. i use recon hood, avatar mask and quarian camo from one of the mass effect customization mods. it's pretty close. see screenshot 4, 5, 7 showing tali in the squad. :)

Can we get a quarian suit (maybe?) or a Turian head?
Jill Sandwich  [author] Mar 15, 2016 @ 10:02pm
also some good news for your javik or prothean fans!

i have been making a Javik the Prothean ( or should we say Trollean ) head mod, half way done now. i know i said i wouldn't be making any more mods, then i figured javik and asari is the same thing, only easier, coz prothean has large bulbous heads no clipping issues, might as well get it done, and this is before i knew about the invisible head mod. so now i'm gonna fix the asari mod first, then release the prothean head mod some time later!!

OMG Scifi311, thank you so much! just tested, this invisible head mod is amazing for this.

and yes, now i can shrink the head mesh a bit to reduce neck clipping now. gonna fix it by tomorrow!! WOOT!!
Jill Sandwich  [author] Mar 15, 2016 @ 9:27pm
holy shit, awesome news, i'm gonna check it out and if necessary update the mod a bit, thanks for the heads up!!

Good news everyone! The Evangelion Heads mod adds an invisible head to race 2 you can use to get rid of the ears on your asari!
And an invisible head means this mesh can probably be shrunk a little, to help reduce the (not actually small) clipping. It's least noticeable on the Frog trooper armor for me, though I've only tried the head with ballistic tier armor so far.

@ Pimpmust yes it's definitely doable, i remember seeing some tutorial on bioware forum a few years ago about ripping models from ME2.

btw if you guys want some readily available asari armor model and some weapons models check out this guys's youtube video, he has the entire asari adept head and body model in it ( this is where i got the source material ) and also a bunch of weapon models: Avenger assault rifle, Predator pistol, Claymore and Katana shotguns. download link is in his youtube video description. Here is his youtube video address:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMTYbDDzRQo

file format is in .c4d, you will need Cinema 4D software to open it.

if you guys want to do an asari body armor mod, easiest way is to treat the entire body as a torso armor piece, then make the arms and legs pieces blank. just like how the excellent Frog Trooper armor mod did it : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=641364603

@ Dark_Ansem i just simply follow the excellent headgear tutorial by Capnbubs here:

@ rommel i understand what you suggest, and it's definitely doable by a more skilled modder. but like i said in my description, i'm not a 3D artist at all. this will require A LOT of geometry changing and tweaking, and it's beyond me. the reason why i chose a full head is simply because i didn't have to change the geometry at all.

@ BOYCOTT S-T-E-A-M! yes i agree muton centurion is better fit for krogan. :D but you will have to ask the Playable advent mod team to add this.
Leflair Mar 15, 2016 @ 9:02am
Wondering when we'll get some armor rips from ME3, if this is possible? Maybe Halo has a friendlier file format / structure.
Guessing getting facial animation to map up is a lot more work.
Mickey Surviving RNG Mar 15, 2016 @ 8:49am
wow impressive :) nice work
Dark_Ansem Mar 15, 2016 @ 8:39am
Author, could you share a tutorial on how you did this?
Saren Mar 15, 2016 @ 7:41am
Mass Effect 2 armor next? One can hope.
wlan0 Mar 15, 2016 @ 5:35am
Any chance you could split this model into two pieces (a hair style and a female head) instead of a headgear? Then you could still keep facial expressions and use skin color / hair color to make any color Asari you wish. I haven't done anything relating to models with XCOM 2, so I'm not sure how viable that approach is, but it was the first thing that came to mind seeing this mod.
BOYCOTT S-T-E-A-M! Mar 15, 2016 @ 1:35am
Nice mod. Very impressive work.

On the bright side if you decide to mod in Krogans you'll pretty much just need to resize the helmeted mutons.
crazyjabberwock Mar 15, 2016 @ 12:29am
the only thing throwing me off is the ears, seeing asari with human ears is just a bit freaky
Jill Sandwich  [author] Mar 14, 2016 @ 11:53pm
yeah Jazz i'm doing the same, it's basically turn based mass effect for me now, so awesome! the setting is kind of similar too.

btw not sure if you know , check out the newly released playable advent mod on workshop ( the latest version ) , in which you can play as muton and mec as squadmates . so coupled with wrex , grunt and legion voice packs, you can have those squadmates in game now too!

It all helps towards my plan of eventually turning X-COM 2 into a Mass Effect 3 Themed strategy game XD Thank you very much.
Jill Sandwich  [author] Mar 14, 2016 @ 11:22pm
you are welcome!

yeah hopefully we can have stuff like turian armor set or mass effect weapons in the future!!

cjcg000 Mar 14, 2016 @ 11:17pm
thanks for this :)
and I second the hope others bring in mass effect armor/ helmets ;)
