Haha, thank you. Wouldn't have thought that after such a long time these would still be used, but I am glad to hear that.

I still use this ship, it's also a good first ship to build, I often make more large atmo thrusters on the sides to make a wing like shape to lift more and add landing gear but this is a powerhouse frame and remains excellent. Would love an update but honestly not necessary, the poor Puma needs more love anyway.

++ the only ship im missing in the fleet is an planet - space hauler for all goodies needed, maybe modular? for cargo, oxygen, hydrogen, energy (ofcourse only with an mod but an mabye empty module for some special batterys) .. totaly missing this ^^ hope u get it soon .. love your ships since my creation potential is quite limited

Indeed. But I haven’t figured it out yet. A complete redesign is necessary.

@D3TH D34L3R Albatross as in the aquatic bird? Albatross as in the Grumman HU-16 Albatross? People have been naming flying craft after birds long before Halo Wars was even an idea in somebody's head.

...why am I feeding a troll again?

Seems like the energy consumption of large turbines have been adjusted, so now the ship constantly overloads. I will try to fix this as soon as I can...

Albatross as in the Albatross heavy dropship from halo wars? K bra.

I mean, because thats the problem i did run into with my dropship design and it is pretty annoying since for the most efficiency, you basically need 3 thrust systems since hydrogen is not well balanced for small grids :I
JD.Horx  [author] Mar 7, 2016 @ 9:05am
Yes, I will test this, but I suppose about a hundred tons.
Joshua Norton Mar 7, 2016 @ 8:07am
hm, but my point was more the transition from atmo to orbit
JD.Horx  [author] Mar 7, 2016 @ 7:58am
If my calculations are correct, it should be able to lift about 600 tons with its turbines and about 100 tons with the ion thrusters to get into orbit.
Joshua Norton Mar 7, 2016 @ 4:09am
Interesting design, what i ask myself is, is it able to leave orbit with cargo?
Since you only seem to have atmos/ions on it?

A request ship type for you JD, a crafter in your style which focuses on reaching orbit from a planets surface via hydrogen boosters.
