Right now I'm having trouble keeping most of my mods up to date. I probably won't make time to sit and rethink the durability and cost any time soon. I don't mind someone using the models from my some of mods, including this one. Even to make a similar one with only data changes as you suggest. I think I can point you to which file to change to make the concrete more durable, if you like.
Devanov Jul 18, 2019 @ 9:42am
> Would be great to just have the vanilla-shapes and block categories
> Have only large grid blocks, same durability as heavy armor, 4x the weight
> Adjust the gravel-requirement per block so that it fits the grinding post-release
(e.g. 500-1k gravel per block)
> Update the Mod so that the workshop gets a recent post-release date
> Set a good higher quality (reinforced) concrete texture

I apologize. I can't remember why I changed things exactly the way I did. Can't focus well at the moment either.
Tobymaxgames Jul 15, 2019 @ 7:02am
why is the concrete weaker than light armor? a light armor block has 2,500 integrity, the concrete cube has 1,340!
Devanov Apr 30, 2019 @ 10:08am
I like this mod quite a bit. Though i would like, if with the current costs, the concrete blocks would be harder. at least as durable as light (vanilla) armor but as heavy as heavy (vanilla) armor. Or as durable as heavy armor, but quadruple the weight to make it especially for base building a cheaper alternative to light/heavy armor blocks. And maybe combine the block shapes relative to the vanilla blocks in groups. (And having the last updated version past release, might would help to not think the mod is outdated/abandoned) ;)

Hi nice mod, thanks and hope you update it in the future
ZEX Apr 17, 2019 @ 3:10am
Hey. you have a beautiful mod "concrete" and thank you so much for making it. all the players on my server are also very grateful to you. a texture error occurred while updating the game. Can you fix it or give me a model I'll find a specialist who will do it. once again, thank you very much.
cate_kun Mar 18, 2019 @ 6:17am
@Belaaron your point is just wrong. The Cage of the Blocks has nothing to do with the Iron reinforces slaps. Of course they need Iron inside the slaps themself. Otherwise the Slaps will just fall apart, like dry Sand from a Sandcastle.
Belaaron Mar 5, 2019 @ 10:18pm
@seronis My point, is that if the block itself is already going to use iron-based components, why do the slab components themselves ALSO need iron? The girders already reflect the "rebar" reinforcement. The slab components don't need to have iron in them...it's entirely redundant, and makes the blocks far more expensive than they need to be.
seronis Nov 14, 2018 @ 3:55am
@Belaaron, the use of iron is for the actual iron bars that are inside large concrete structures as a reinforcing factor. Its perfectly realistic
amsedal Nov 2, 2018 @ 10:40pm
I am sad, I loved this mod...
amsedal Nov 2, 2018 @ 10:40pm
just an FYI .. I don't know if anyone else was having issues but this was a HUGE lag problem for our server... we used A TON of this stuff and it started to hit a point where we were trying to figure out why our server was lagged .... tracked it down to this mod.. sorry...
amsedal Oct 11, 2018 @ 8:38pm
I would love to see more shapes and/or update .. one of the most used mods in my game! :) Thank you!
Belaaron Feb 28, 2018 @ 7:44pm
Every one of the concrete mods I've found uses iron in the making of the concrete slab components. Wouldn't it have beem more appropriate to have ice, instead? Especially if people are going to use girders in the block construction anyway?
Slaghkre  [author] Jul 1, 2017 @ 6:25am
Specifically. I don't know. Vague answer: Keen's fault.
Diovane2 Jun 30, 2017 @ 10:42pm
why i cant see the block in de pick blocks menu?
BeanSlinger419 Jun 25, 2017 @ 10:51am
oh im an idiot
(there used to be a conrete mod that didnt need girders and only needed stone)
Slaghkre  [author] Jun 24, 2017 @ 9:32pm
umm. do you need it on a server you play on? or for personal survival? You can copy the compressed mod files into a new folder in the mods folder and edit what you like for local use.
BeanSlinger419 Jun 16, 2017 @ 3:25pm
girders..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I JUST WANT A MOD THAT USES STONE FOR A USEFUL BLOCK BUT NO I NEED IRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
my life is a lie
Spades Jun 1, 2017 @ 4:07pm
I really hate that they emit smoke when damaged.
GAMEtatron May 17, 2017 @ 1:49pm
Seems like something has happened to the collision model on some of the tiles. It is now blocking the character at times.
Slaghkre  [author] Apr 5, 2017 @ 5:47pm
That was the idea, but I haven't test it in a while.
Lord Helios Apr 1, 2017 @ 5:22pm
so can i use these blocks as landing pads or launch pads without problems?
GAMEtatron Mar 12, 2017 @ 4:57pm
I really like your concrete mods. They are very usefull for planetside buildings. Any chance you will add more blocks? I could use an inner curve, like the C like block found in Shaostoul's armor pack. And also cylinders and curves in differens sizes.
Goldobsidian Mar 3, 2017 @ 9:54pm
I downloaded your other, older concrete mod and its more along the lines of what I was expecting and hoping for. Ill be honest I didnt recognize the tile part in the name as litteral tiles so thats more my bad.

But if your looking for a new texture, Id love to see something like this but grey/white so it can be recolored to fit the persons taste and build.

Slaghkre  [author] Mar 3, 2017 @ 8:58pm
I haven't updated or even really looked at the blocks in like a year.
I called it concrete tile because it doesn't use a large tiled textured, but a single block sized one and it looks like tiles. I've considered getting rid of the 0.5 m tiles on the texture and just leaving the 2.5m for each side of a block.
I'm curious what look you mean. if you could link an image.
Goldobsidian Mar 3, 2017 @ 12:50am
I downloaded this mod because the concrete mod I had was too hard to work with, and very quickly after I started building a platform with the blocks I noticed a color variance in the surfaces on even the same block, each side having its own color essentually. ontop of that these dont really look like concrete... they look like premade tiles of some kind. I was hoping for more of a smooth road suface look.
jb_aero Jan 19, 2017 @ 9:22am
That would be another mod then, large tubes for example do not pass through small conveyors in vanilla.
Droidhacker Jan 18, 2017 @ 7:05pm
no plates pass through, I tested it, everything does but them
Slaghkre  [author] Jan 18, 2017 @ 5:38pm
They were designed to be like steel plates. iirc, those don't pass through small conveyors either. I believe their ability to pass through small conveyors is base on the dimensions described in the components data file.
Droidhacker Jan 18, 2017 @ 12:44pm
Hey I do not know if this has been mentioned here yet but your concrete tile components do not pass through small conveyors, its a little annoying as I just build a constructor ship to build a base out of your concrete blocks and I have to load the chest manually 200 tiles at a time. However, these blocks really good and I love building with them!
Minnlinz Jan 5, 2017 @ 7:54pm
this is great for starting from 0 thanks, not sure why the devs haven't done this and a basic melee weapon. would be great to start with stone, move up to metal and guns and then leave the planet on a space ship. gives more game play because it builds a objective on survival. you are building from stone to tech just to leave the planet and then you can land on a new planet.
GD Nov 24, 2016 @ 1:31am
I'm considering using this mod for more because of the surplus of useless stone and started some tests. I'm building large flat surfaces with Slope 2-Type blocks. I noticed a certain color deviance between the surfaces leading to visible stripes with 1 block width across the hole surface. Is that intended? Light/Heavy armor creates uniformed lighted surfaces. Maybe the normal vecor on the sloped surfaces on base and top is slightly off or at least not completly the same.
Kosmoski Nov 14, 2016 @ 2:00am
my only critique is that i liked the texture from your old pack a lot better. Looked much more like Concrete, this kind of gives it a bathroom ceramic tile look.

love this mod though. almost should be vanilla, it makes stone actually do something.
jb_aero Oct 16, 2016 @ 5:14pm
The construction stages for the flat slab made it into this mod, but model for the finished block did not.
Slaghkre  [author] Apr 8, 2016 @ 4:40pm
I wouldn't use the same construction models for them and those are actually most of the work. The basic shapes are easy.
masterzh7 Apr 7, 2016 @ 8:10am
Hello there i made a new texture for your mod with mirror look and use it for my ships.
http://i.imgur.com/MbhVvqD.png
Would you be interested to create another mod with such texture ? (as yours have nice variety of block shapes already)
Slaghkre  [author] Mar 25, 2016 @ 9:08am
scratch that, it's all large ship thrusters, like 2 blocks for small and 4 for large.
Slaghkre  [author] Mar 25, 2016 @ 8:46am
Ok, So now as far as vanilla thrusters go, it seems to withstand anything but large block large thrusters closer than 2 large blocks away. It seems that it was the deformation ration that I left out
TuSlayer Mar 24, 2016 @ 9:07pm
I am using the Ion thrusters from the Tiered Engine Super Pack. There is a 1 small block gap as shown in link. Have same setup make from iron blocks and it works fine.

Found a quick work-a-round. I just put your "Concrete Armor Blocks" above it in mod list to fix. Thanks anyway.
Slaghkre  [author] Mar 24, 2016 @ 7:26pm
could you describe the thrusters used and their proximity to the block when they get destroyed?
TuSlayer Mar 24, 2016 @ 1:50am
@aerosabe - kk. Just trying to workout what to do about my landing pad, its useless if I have to replace it after each use :(
Slaghkre  [author] Mar 23, 2016 @ 4:58pm
Never Tested it. Not sure how resilient I want them to be honest. I guess I had "cheap" in mind when deciding resilience. I wanted them weaker to bullets than heavy armor, but probably strong to thrusters. I'll have to test and research again to decide how to change them.
TuSlayer Mar 23, 2016 @ 11:34am
I'm finding these are less thruster resistent than normal light armor blocks, is this corrrect?
Slaghkre  [author] Feb 28, 2016 @ 12:30pm
ya, I was pretty limited on the deformable and continuous textured shapes I could make, So I made the other version to expand the variety.
Arswind Feb 28, 2016 @ 9:48am
i like your concrete armor blocks texture better..
Snugglez Feb 27, 2016 @ 3:58am
its a great mod and if u would expand the amount of halfsize blocks this mod could replace many of my favorites like uncles armor ramps etc...
