hello I'm new .. but how does the mod translate? thanks
Artuurs 5 sept. 2021 la 9:13
I cant believe no one has made a mod that removes the 5 hour passage of time that occurs when landing and taking off, like, its so stupid, i wish i could remove it, makes no sense and only punishes you uneedlessly for considering your options that require travel.

People don't read.

the comment below you literally linked to a wotc compatible version
Vangerful 21 febr. 2019 la 11:44
does not work with WOTC. Crashes on soldier list view

macelharen 17 sept. 2017 la 13:36
when someone's profile is listed as 'private' it's a good bet they're just trolls.
Kaldin 17 sept. 2017 la 7:18
@madoc4214: He wasn't talking "condescendingly" to anyone, -bg- just stated the obvious that ANYONE that spends even a second thinking about it should arrive at... :Frieza:
Desius 17 sept. 2017 la 2:03
Understood. It's too much trouble to simply put a note in the description so people don't have to assume, guess, or read 7 pages of comments to know if it works or not. Instead you have to speak condescendingly to people asking about your mod.
-bg-  [autor] 17 sept. 2017 la 1:08
for old mods, assume it is not compatible until said otherwise.

someone else made the wotc version, search for it.
Desius 16 sept. 2017 la 22:48
That would be useful information in the description. Is there going to be a WOTC version?
-bg-  [autor] 16 sept. 2017 la 22:46
This mod is not compatible with WOTC
Desius 16 sept. 2017 la 22:41
When in the training center, selecting "start training" at the bottom will cause a crash with this mod. It should bring up a list of soldiers instead of crashing. I can repeat this and have verified this crash does not happen when only this mod is disabled.
macelharen 2 sept. 2017 la 21:40
there's a standalone toolbox someone made. i really should check that out to see if it gives everything i've gotten used to =)
-bg-  [autor] 2 sept. 2017 la 21:37
ya delete the config from lwtoolbox is 3, delete config from this mod is 1, not deleting is 2
macelharen 2 sept. 2017 la 21:09
@ Yamino. good for you. that wasn't even remotely my point, but thanks for implying i need to painstakingly clarify my talking points so people can't jump in with unfounded claims of some other mod generating lag for them.
"So, yeah. choose between (1) longwar/toolbox info stuff (2) laggy as &$% geoscape (3) nice hourly countdown for events"
macelharen 2 sept. 2017 la 21:00
-bg- ahhh...all info was gone from soldier list when i tried that overwrite deletion in lwtoolbox. I swear community highlander claims to show defense now in that list (or was it just in the individual soldier panel?)
Zyxpsilon 2 sept. 2017 la 20:33
So that *new* update to the XC2 version would make it directly compatible with WotC.. right?
-bg-  [autor] 2 sept. 2017 la 20:24
also another WOTC update: for the soldier list, I decided to just make a new mod for it, and make it show will and other info as well because it's going to overwrite the whole thing.
-bg-  [autor] 2 sept. 2017 la 20:23
highlander stuff will work fine because they aren't actual overwrites, it only lags if there are 2 overwrites on the same class.
Kaldin 2 sept. 2017 la 18:53
@macelharen: This + Community-Highlander doesn't generate ANY lag for me...don't use MCM through, just thought I'd mention it, since iIrc there were people reporting that getting rid of it had removed that lag at some point in time.
macelharen 2 sept. 2017 la 18:48
non-WOTC warning: for anyone using mods that display information about soldiers in the main soldier list, the fix suggested by -bg- (to deal with geomap lag) eliminates said info. it's all gone. blank.

So, yeah. choose between (1) longwar/highlander info stuff (2) laggy as &$% geoscape (3) nice hourly countdown for events
Rilne 1 sept. 2017 la 15:21
So, I made a quick-and-dirty update of this for WotC here . This only does the main upcoming events queue, though, the main reason -bg-'s doesn't work with WotC directly is that the code for soldier timer displays is much more involved; I just wanted to get my event timers back asap, so I stripped out that part. I'm doing remaining mission time and possibly grimy's aim bar next.
Zyxpsilon 30 aug. 2017 la 19:03
Possibly the most important trick(s) any player should have.. more so now with WotC gameplay mechanics of simultaneous events. Soooo -- yes, please -- asap. :)
Vaeringjar 30 aug. 2017 la 16:12
please let us now about WotC compatibility, this mod is NEEDED :Honored:
Wuten 30 aug. 2017 la 6:40
Mod needs updating for WotC. When clearing out a facility, I get a CTD whenever I go to the armory to view my soldiers.
MaulMachine 21 mart. 2017 la 16:28
Hello,

After following the instructions to the letter, I still don't have this events display in hours. I've reinstalled, I followed the three steps in your link up top, and it still doesn't work. What else can I try?
-bg-  [autor] 20 febr. 2017 la 18:56
go to XComEngine.ini in the mod's config folder and comment out the overwrite with UIPersonnel_SoldierListItem
xNaquada 20 febr. 2017 la 18:19
So this is the mod that is killing my Geoscape FPS when LWToolbox is installed.

Is there not a simple set of instructions one could follow to fix this? From looking at the comments, it seems someone knows how, yet there are no instructions posted.

Otherwise, sadly, I cannot use this mod as LWToolbox anchors a bunch of mods.
Zyxpsilon 29 ian. 2017 la 0:23
Just forget almost anything from what i wrote below.. must have been heavily tired and didn't realize everything i really need (for precise tracking of many types of Hours) is certainly present in the Avenger screen and its usual Event Queue List.

So don't bother fiddling with that solid code just for a small (supplemental) Barracks insert. Move along & i am sorry for having brought up a "feature issue" that rationally isn't & never has been.
Zyxpsilon 28 ian. 2017 la 7:48
OH.. but i *did* that small easy edit to your XComEngine.INI file straight into the mod.. but sadly, we just lose the "Barracks Timing" feature while doing so.
Thus.. i was just trying to find out if some new code logic could be scripted to prevent the guilty override process and thus allowing LW2 (Toolbox, etc) to co-habit with YOUR choice of better gameplay principles.
Gee -- i honestly don't understand why in hell they couldn't include this great QoL device straight into LW2 as a feature. Maybe they'd still need anyone's (you!) permission to do so?

In the meantime -- we lose some very good tracking toolset to monitor when exactly the injured or "In-Training" soldiers can return to fillup timely tasks within their usual pre-determined Squad.
-bg-  [autor] 28 ian. 2017 la 1:41
You CAN use this mod if you go to config and remove the UIPersonnel_SoldierListItem override.
Zyxpsilon 27 ian. 2017 la 23:09
I really-very-absolutely-incredibly miss this must have QoL friggin' multi-Timing device of yours -bg-. More so than ever since these new LW2 slow/hours to react are much too tight & must be monitored very carefully to at least stand a small chance at optimal decisions.

I've got this stealthy SharpShooter on the edge of receiving a precious AWC pistol perk while a pending important mission needs him. Pull him out of training is so weird when 6 hours instead of 10 can make all the difference in a brutal world... Available or not.

Please do your best to update it, asap. ;)

man after installing this mod my game freezes after a turn, is it this mod that is causing it?
Coup d' oeil 10 aug. 2016 la 21:03
Embarrassing. Thanks
-bg-  [autor] 10 aug. 2016 la 20:08
it's a class overwrite conflict that causes performance issues, see the comment below on removing overrides. The folder is <steam location>/steamapps/workshop/content/258500/621756954/Config/XComEngine.Ini
Coup d' oeil 10 aug. 2016 la 19:03
holy smokes. I installed this and my fps tanked. I uninstalled it and my fps went up. I have a slower cpu. I think something in this mod taxes it. And this switch was the ONLY thing I did. Hallow globe went from 23fps to 94fps after uninstalling. I know crazy.
mR.MaG0o 5 aug. 2016 la 14:25
@Nitewolf, Which file have you edited? How is it the game performing after you edited the file?
Nitewolf 5 aug. 2016 la 12:55
You are a legend, sir. Thank you!
-bg-  [autor] 5 aug. 2016 la 12:55
yes.
Nitewolf 5 aug. 2016 la 12:44
Lol, I would never realize this one was causing the major slowdown. You said there was a guide, where can I find it, @-bg-? I mean if I delete +ModClassOverrides=(BaseGameClass="UIPersonnel_SoldierListItem", ModClass="UI_NewSoldierListItem")
from your mod, I will still get the other functionalities and it won't conflict anymore with LW Toolbox, right?
-bg-  [autor] 2 aug. 2016 la 21:34
it's a class conflict bug ever since May update, there's a guide to resolve this by limiting features
mR.MaG0o 2 aug. 2016 la 17:42
Confirmed huge performance drop overall with LWTools installed. :/
Eisenefaust 10 iul. 2016 la 23:51
Oh I see. No wonder you hadn't already done it. Thanks for the response.
-bg-  [autor] 10 iul. 2016 la 23:13
That won't work, unless you are ok with the hours not updating at all until you go o another screen and come back.
Eisenefaust 10 iul. 2016 la 19:42
Hey @-bg- I know you are busy but would you be willing to update this to use UIScreenListener for UIEventQueue_ListItem and UIPersonnel_SoldierListItem? I would really appreciate it. I love using this mod. Thanks for considering it.
Zyxpsilon 2 iul. 2016 la 8:42
SMTP(ersonnel) is just fine with SG/DLC, btw.
marshmallow justice 2 iul. 2016 la 6:32
Sorry -bg-, since Show Me The Skills/Personnel isn't being supported anymore, I need to use Long War Toolbox, which refuses to be compatible with this :steamsad::steamsad:

MantLemon 18 mai 2016 la 20:34
@Zyxpsilon Thanks for answering! Now I know on what aspect these two mods are incompatible.
