So I see ASL_SUPPORTED_VEHICLES_OVERRIDE is a thing.

Instead of setting that to a type of vehicle, can I set only a specific vehicle classname?

1. can you rope a guy and fly him? 2. can you grab rope and other guy will fly you?

The problem is that even though 2 or 3 ropes can be lowered, only 1 vehicle can be connected to the helicopter, regardless of its size. So the other 2 ropes are practically unnecessary.

I'm finding that 85% of the time, the mod just doesn't work in general, and it doesn't even give me the option to deploy ropes, but on some random chance, once and a while it does, which makes it pretty much impossible to rely on unfortunately.

Cannot use double or triple ropes. It just drops them on the ground if you try to attach to a vehicle.

is there any way to make the line longer after it's picked up , so there won't be a "line is too short" message when i try to attach it to something?

Players on my Epoch server are unable to attach sling unless they are the pilot and then land chopper to attach.
They are unable to have man on ground attach while chopper hovers over.
How do I enable that option?

Hey there! Is there, or could you integrate, an option to bind keys for quick-releasing cargo and shortening/extending ropes? I'm part of a ~50 person unit and we regularly make use of your mod, and everyone unanimously agrees that having a way to quickly release cargo -- that doesn't involve going through a series of context menus -- would make your mod even better and applicable in more contexts. Right now we find a use for it in almost every situation, but any of those that involve active combatants tend to make it particularly risky to try at all, even if it'd be suuuper cool. Just a suggestion, but I can almost promise that the convenience would get this mod much more attention ^^

I sent a friend request to try to get in contact to help solve an issue for my vehicle. I am wanting to change the number of ropes it can deploy and lower them so it doesn't destroy the tail rotor. Recently I am having this issue where the copilot is the only one to deploy ropes.

I had a question about this one, how can I re-enable the 'automatic rope attaching'? I have not looked at the code and I could modify it if you 'pointed me in the right direction' if still in the code.

Personally, I would rather have a 'switch' (config/init) which enables/disables this function, for some would want it and others would not.

ok, iv been trying for a while now to get the AI to deploy the ropes once they get to a trigger and to delete them once they get to another one but i have no idea how

problem of invisible menu items was due to ACE3. The setting "Group Bar" by Ace3 UserUI Section is adjusted to be false. If you set it to true then the issue is solved by this mod. It took me so long to find out what was breaking this mod so I guess @duda it will be nice if you put this hint to your FAQ section :)

ok I see that I have a weird situation. When I chose the action "Deploy Cargo Ropes" in my dedicated server, nothing is happening because the selection of how many ropes I want to deploy is invisible... If I randomly scrol down and press again it drops the ropes.
Does anybody know why the action menu becomes invisible after the deploy rope action?

Just have someone lay on the stretcher and then sling load it. Great for medevac from areas where you can't land.

Hi there. This mod, along with the other 3 advanced rope mods, is absolutely brilliant. Just one thing. I play with a mod, which adds a 250 ton heavy tank to the game. For the sake of realism, this beast should not be able to be lifted by anything but spaceship Galactica. But heavier helis lift it like any other tank.
Question: What variable do I have to change, to add a maximum weight for liftable cargos?

When a player respawns with cargo ropes deployed, they are not able to deploy new cargo ropes in there next vehicle. What variables do I need to set to nil in the onPlayerRespawn for players to be able to deploy cargo ropes after respawning?

Two questions. If I use ASL_SLING_RULES_OVERRIDE = [["Air", "CAN_SLING", "All"],["Air", "CANT_SLING", "Air"]] would that set it so air could sling everything but air, or does having a union/overlap cause issues.

Second, if I want to allow sling loading of everything except Air vehicles do I need to declare the CAN's and CANT's or just the CANT

Advanced Sling Loading breaks the rear rotor on the UNSUNG Chinook as soon as you turn on the engine with cargo attached. Anyone else have this issue?

Issue when trying to run on Linux dedicated server:

ErrorMessage: Cannot open file '/home/steam/arma3/arma3master/@I\addons\sa_advancedslingloading'
Application terminated intentionally

Note that Linux, unlike Windows, uses case sensitivity in its filesystem. So 'SA_AdvancedSlingLoading.pbo' is not the same as 'sa_advancedslingloading.pbo'. Might be the reason behind this error.

Hi, I installed the mod as instructed, running it as -servermod on my dedicated server. Mod loads fine as per RPT. In game, i can use the mod to deploy cargo ropes as intended and it works fine. But surprisingly i still have the standard arma 3 exile sling load with "hook" option on the helis. So both are active (standard one and this mod) How can i disable the standard one ?

Hey, is there a way I can script a helicopter to sling-load an object?

I would use unitcapture to create a helicopter flight path and use the command (if exists) to sling-load an object.
