You guys can play this map here TF2.STRIKEARENA.RU:29016 and here TF.STRIKEARENA.RU:27018
Dont tell me you didnt figured out to remove the onehit ability of that weapon.
Spy is the only class that MIGHT be a little underpowered, and I hope he doesn't get a noob-friendly buff like med did in Two Cities.
As to big maps giving teams time to recover: Bigrock is huge, but doesn't seem to be terribly forgiving for teams who lose ground.
"Powerless Airblast" did have an effect: it stopped giants in their tracks without them leaving the ground. Much less annoying to teammates than the inane juggling Pyros usually do. Basically a buff.
- I haven't tryed this map but i mostly look for expert level, so i expect there will be lack of cash from the start, not like 2cities where you get a ton of that.
- The map, like the other 2 you guys have made, seems very large. If that's the case, then for harder levels this should be balanced by a very high difficulty, because big maps means you have more time to fix any error from the team and an eventual loss of territory.
- The feature i'm mostly looking for is a new meta for MvM. If the robots would use new stuffs like medic's shield, parachute and more, this could increase the value of the pyro, the sniper and the spy, the less used classes in MvM after the 2cities update.
- Other things to expect are the eventual fixes Valve will make. The 24/7 refund for example, or the more recent powerless airblast, appeared after the Scortch Shot fix, where even when it's full upgraded, the airblast have no effect whatsoever on giants.
changelevel workshop/512476725
tf_mvm_popfile mvm_isolation_b6
did not work for me. It loaded the map that everyone had subscribed to just fine, but the missions didn't work.
I just had everyone download the actual mvm_isolation_b6.bsp file which worked fine, but I wanted to let you know that the commands didn't work in my case. I hope the Workshop makes it easier on you to integrate these someday. Thanks for the map!

tf_mvm_popfile mvm_isolation_b6
It also works for intermediate and above too:
tf_mvm_popfile mvm_isolation_b6_advanced2
tf_mvm_popfile advanced2
1. Install the bsp and nav into /tf/maps
2. Install the pop files into /tf/scripts/population
3. Insert "net_maxfilesize 64" to your server.cfg (on any line)
4. Restart your server
5. Enter changelevel mvm_isolation_b6 on the server console to load the map.
Now if your friends connect to the server, the server will make your friends download the map from your server to their game so long as the file size of the map is < 64 MB (isolation is 23 MB). It will download ridiculously slowly (the download speed is based on the server's tick rate), especially without a FastDownload server, but at least it will download the map to the correct location on their clients and properly load them into the map. The best thing to do is to ask them to connect to the server earlier in advance so they have it downloaded by the time you're ready to play.
I use the FastDownload approach as the workshop is a pain in the butt to work with for MvM.
changelevel workshop/512476725
tf_mvm_popfile mvm_isolation_b6
As it seems like, the server mounts workshop maps differently by using their ugc ID, and since MvM has nav and pop files as dependencies it doesn't play well with the steam workshop. I also don't know if the nav is properly mounted either, now that I think about it. Let me know if that works out well for you.
1) I've gotten it to work with everyone downloading mvm_isolation_b6, but I tried the changelevel workshop/512476725 command now with a friend and the missions don't appear. They worked fine when doing changelevel mvm_isolation_b6 (but of course that requires downloading the bsp instead of subscribing, which means I have to lead my friends through a directory structure, etc...
2) The normal mission doesn't actually have normal in the name, so "tf_mvm_popfile normal" gives me errors instead of working. However, calling a vote to change the mission to normal through the in-game UI works fine.
Subscribing to the map puts the map in the player's workshop/51247625 folder. To make clients use the subscribed copy of the map, you have to run:
changelevel workshop/512476725
on the server console so that the server uses the workshop version of the map (and notifies clients to do the same, or otherwise download a copy from steam).
If you just run:
changelevel mvm_isolation_b6
in your console then the server will tell your clients to download mvm_isolation_b6 from your FastDownload server (and not use the copy from the subscription).
Thanks for subscribing!
Maybe valve will make their next contract update with mvm? (If there is one)
