I use this mod for all my worlds, so I have to keep it updated.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>I have rewritten all 5,473 lines of code so All of the skins now work with every block in these mods.
=>Fixed all of the skins for the blocks. Most were overhauled and some were tweaked and some were left alone because they were good. (Too many to list and I didn't keep notes because it was very late in the day.)
=>All of these changes to the skins and textures and stuff are all retroactive- So when you load into your worlds you will notice the difference right away.
=>If there's any skins you don't like let me know in the comments and I am more than happy to take a second look.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please check out the Change Notes everyone. :)
Awesome news- The changes I make in this code are indeed retroactive- Which means you won't have to replace blocks for the skin changes to take effect for most of the skins that I have tweaked and fixed this giant update. :)
I am working on adding All of the skins to support all the blocks in this mod right now.
I am about 65-70% done and will have this massive update out tonight. :D
Also massive fixes for all of the blocks using the skins- In my testing it wasn't retroactive unfortunately. But let me do some more testing before I confirm that is the case. I want you all to see the new textures I have chosen for the skins and TRUST ME- THEY. ARE.... GLORIOUS!!!
I cannot mod in new skins because of how Keen designed the system to work with Steam.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>Added in 4x1x1 Blocks Full Set.
=>Added in 5x1x1 Blocks Full Set.
=>Added in 6x1x1 Blocks Full Set.
=>Fixed Missing Icon Texture Error.
=>Fixed Two Warnings about not-compatible DDS file for the Moss Armor and SciFi texture skin for paint menu.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Switch to that one and you're all set :D
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>Updated Asset Modifiers Armor skin file to support the new DLC
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>Fixed the Neon Colorable surface skin being broken due to a line of code being disabled on Keen's version.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<MetalnessColorable>true</MetalnessColorable>
<DefaultColor>
<R>0</R>
<G>0</G>
<B>0</B>
<A>255</A>
</DefaultColor>
That's commented out in the vanilla section of the Neon_Colorable_Surface skin definition and with it active any block other than an armour block is always black when applying the skin which is quite annoying.
You have the same thing in your overrides in the Reworked Armor Panels mod.
Thanks for helping me find it.
The mod is "More Armor Ramps v3.1 dx11 ready finally (with a caveat)"
That mod will have everything you need.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>Added Compatibility for the new Sparks of the Future skins released in the Major update today.(This one took a while)
=>Fixed the Unsupported texture warning in the game log.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>Merged the File from Armor Ramps & Panels Mod Pack to this one for the skin system.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tried using this for making the hull slope of a mini Star Wars destroyer, but the UV mapping just ruined it sadly.
I'm curious what it would take to add a block to the lot. Also curious if SE mods themselves are modular, or if you have to make them all individually. I promise to RTFM and do it myself next time.. after this one request. :)
There seems to be a split corner 2x2x1 block missing from the logical set - a symmetrical, concave 2x2x1, where 3 of the corners are full 1x height, and the 4th corner is a point only, so the 3 matching corners slope down towards the 4th. Like a downhill valley.
Is this a reasonable request?
<3 !
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=>Fixed the pathing errors for the skins created by the new update.
=>All the Armor Ramps and Panels Mods now share the same G-menu slot as the Armor Ramps and Panels Mega Pack, so you don't have multiple g-menu tabs being used now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But bear with me I want it done so I can use it on my ship too. :)
