Reworked Armor Ramps Mod Update Notes(Update: May 5/18/2023): Mod Update: Entire Skin System Overhaul

=>I have rewritten all 5,473 lines of code so All of the skins now work with every block in these mods.

=>Fixed all of the skins for the blocks. Most were overhauled and some were tweaked and some were left alone because they were good. (Too many to list and I didn't keep notes because it was very late in the day.)

=>All of these changes to the skins and textures and stuff are all retroactive- So when you load into your worlds you will notice the difference right away.

=>If there's any skins you don't like let me know in the comments and I am more than happy to take a second look.

OK, Firstly!
Awesome news- The changes I make in this code are indeed retroactive- Which means you won't have to replace blocks for the skin changes to take effect for most of the skins that I have tweaked and fixed this giant update. :)

I am back officially and 100% better now- Some RL(real-life) issues kinda destroyed me, so it took a few years for me to come back. Sorry :(

I am working on adding All of the skins to support all the blocks in this mod right now.

I am about 65-70% done and will have this massive update out tonight. :D

Also massive fixes for all of the blocks using the skins- In my testing it wasn't retroactive unfortunately. But let me do some more testing before I confirm that is the case. I want you all to see the new textures I have chosen for the skins and TRUST ME- THEY. ARE.... GLORIOUS!!!

I hear you man. Autodesk finally got smart and blocked me from 3dsMax eight years after college. I started playing with Blender, its real similar and you could probably pick it up pretty easily.

no it works. I just haven't had time to merge in all the most recent dlc skins to work.

I cannot mod in new skins because of how Keen designed the system to work with Steam.

Hey man, just wanted to let you know that this mod is breaking the Neon_Colorable_Surface skin for non armor blocks in game. I think it's because you are overriding the skin and have this section
<MetalnessColorable>true</MetalnessColorable>
<DefaultColor>
<R>0</R>
<G>0</G>
<B>0</B>
<A>255</A>
</DefaultColor>
That's commented out in the vanilla section of the Neon_Colorable_Surface skin definition and with it active any block other than an armour block is always black when applying the skin which is quite annoying.
You have the same thing in your overrides in the Reworked Armor Panels mod.

I've found a mod that fit's the bill and the model is right but the textures are broken the Ramp Corner 3x3x1 is completely black and the Ramp Corner Inv 3x3x1 is a mess of light armor textures but it works.

The ramps work great overall, but have 1 big flaw, the UV mapping on the long ramps is messed up, and kinda looks terrible if you tile a bunch of them together. Try placing a bunch of the 4x inverts and corners together, and paint them in just about any of the texture patterns, you'll see what I mean...

Tried using this for making the hull slope of a mini Star Wars destroyer, but the UV mapping just ruined it sadly.

Hi, thanks for keeping these mods current! Exactly what I needed.
I'm curious what it would take to add a block to the lot. Also curious if SE mods themselves are modular, or if you have to make them all individually. I promise to RTFM and do it myself next time.. after this one request. :)

There seems to be a split corner 2x2x1 block missing from the logical set - a symmetrical, concave 2x2x1, where 3 of the corners are full 1x height, and the 4th corner is a point only, so the 3 matching corners slope down towards the 4th. Like a downhill valley.

Is this a reasonable request?

Using vanilla textures would break the mod each time Keen changes them and I would have to rewrite more than 150+ XML files to do so. :/
