And I'm sorry but I have to say.. the voiceacting is utterly abysmal, it's so incredibly cringe, NOT what I expected out of this, so yeah, do yourself a favor and save yourself the annoyance, cringe and frustration and skip this mod.
GOOD:
- 1-2hr content added
- Beautiful landing pad vista, glowing vents in industrial walkway.
- ++Use of droid companions, with perma upgrades.
- Potential as future must-install
- Passion project
CHANGE:
- Layout. Long linear path makes traversal a chore, even with Master Speed/escort. Quest NPCs scattered all along it in the open.
Suggestion? Branching path+buildings to compartmentalize.
Early blocked section of IS already has 3 doors, 2 unused. Re-allocate 1 to R&D building, with separate rooms for droid tests.1 to maintenance. 1 to Archon.
- "Talk to IS-88" WHO? WHERE? Descriptive names for all quest npcs are a must "IS-XX Research Leader"
- Wildly varied voice fx. Some protocolers have nice robotic filters. Some none at all, just a guy talking. One uses a T3 voice...
- Decision pitfalls. Finishing main quest permanently seals off droid repair quest without warning, leaving it in questlog forever.
it is ridiculously boring, the modders should be ashamed of not putting a warning that this will ruin hours of your gameplay.
I applaud the effort put in here: this was an ambitious project, I did not experience any major bugs, and getting to experience Vash as having a story rather than throwaway is something special.
My main issue is it's not linear enough in the kotor way. If you'll notice, most of kotor involves exploring a map and doing stuff along the way, with little retracing of your steps. This, in contrast, feels sort of like being a corporate lackey being sent back and forth on errands by a series of never-ending middle managers. There's a certain charm to the rampant confusion of it, but for me, not enough to overcome the genuine experience of being confused and tired. Maybe if it was a game with quest markers, I'd just laugh, instead I checked my quest log like never before and sighed.
I'd prefer if it was more tight and precise than ambitious and unwieldy, but either way, it's an incredible modding feat.
But this is not a good mod, I stopped playing when IT 02 didnt show after i wasted so much time creating the robot from scratch. The maps are too big and honestly it feels like a tutorial planet for another game. Also I really didnt feel like playing this "tutorial planet" after playing like most of Kotor 2.Think the worst part about this mod is that most people that I talk to say that this mod isnt worth it, but its still rated 6/6 stars. WEIRD
Only person I'd recommend this to is some sick fuck who enjoys 6 hours of fetch quests. Oh, and also if you like really bad voice acting.
I honestly can't recommend it. Even playing once to see what it's like, I still can't recommend it. You'll consider it a waste of your time.
And a save before entering the plains of Korriban :(
As you can tell from my post you are wrong in advising everyone to replace their appearance.2da file.
You should spend more time providing accurate information and less time trying to get your post count up.
Since 1.3 most of the keydroids should have slight colorvariations compared to regular droids to make them stand out more. We tried :/
Maceo: Modconflict, remove any mods overwriting appearance.2da and reload savegame before entering module first time.
@Nehizan: Yes
