Ah. I didn't realize that is how they did it. Is there any way to take advantage of the no collision damage mechanic they implemented with stone? I haven't looked at the code or know if you can make that reference between the different objects / ?object types?. It is C++ right?

The original mod used space balls for rails to work. After Keen changed how space balls work way back it broke the mechanics on how the rails slide without hanging or taking damage. I have a semi working test that I have been working on reliability of use.

What i was trying to say, was that using "low_profile_loader_small_ship" as sliding door frame in station. The door made by small blast blocks has "small_ship_slide" at both sides. Door made like this are overlappng the door frame insert hole, so is unable o fit them to the door frame.

I have been toying with making this work once again but the outlook is grim in its current build. If I get it working it will be an entire new MOD.

Any plan making the "small_ship_slide" collision / hit box little smaller hight so it will fit inside "low_profile_loader_small_ship" rail? Example: I make simple up/down sliding door made by small_ship_blast_blocks + 2x small_ship_slide at both sides, then i am unable to fit them inside "low_profile_loader_small_ship" in 2_block_large_ship space that is used as door frame.

@woostyboy Sadly no, the rails explode now this mod is long since dead needs a revive or steal it was a fun one to implement on ships.

Life is getting in the way guys I will hopefully have time @ the end of the summer to revive this project. SE was changing so much DX9 then 10 then 11 new ways to skin. I don't have the time in the busy summer to learn on the fly, create, and work.

well this sadly doesnt work.... too bad. everytime i try to launch the rail and the slider just explode destroying half of my ship... and i dont see the sliders for friction. maybe i hit the wall of it cause it tilts my ship due to gravity pulling no aligned to my Center of mass. hope you can fix :)

Great idea it just doesnt work in the current build. The slider settings are missing, the slider connects with the next rail everytime resulting in it getting ripped off. Will stay subbed on the remote chance it gets fixed.

The Idea is good. I need Rails. Just Rails. I build, in connect a Ship. Then i fire the Thrusters... poff... poff... poff... The Ship always colidate with next Railblock. You must do the Rails tighter, then a Ship CANT move in the Rails to left, right, up & down. But now the Ship moves in all that to 5cm... Thank you.

I have a similar problem to MattPlaysSimulations: The rails keep catching and stuttering. If there is a way for you to have them auto align themselves so the rail and the track to tuch be sort of float, that'd be really cool. Also, maybe change the default grav field sliders, or maybe make them fixed so they fit certain dimensions only.

Sorry I have not been around much. I have been waiting for planets to fine tune this system with a new design. It is also riding season and I have been spending a lot of time on the road. I will check out the worlds with issues the next rainy day.

Luv the mod, one thing though, they keep cluttering up my hud and i can´t stop them broadcasting wo simply sliding down the owned antennas in the info section. Is this an issue for anyone else?

After falling into nearly constant state of rage and breaking up several ships...i give up on this. Totally cool idea, but loading is nearly impossible and all the time the ships get stuck on the rails, tangling around or just breaking.

After Running some tests, if you don't want to use forcefield in order to have some airtights launch tubes (because they're not realistic of any other reason), you can use the standard airtight doors. Just leave a gap of one block in your railing in order for the door to close, and everything will be fine. A 1-block hole in the railing doesn't seem to matter.

@NIGHT RAVEN not air tight because they are not an entire block wide. Besides you need to place them on top of another block and you would be needing a door to exit anyhow. if you can think of an application that they would need to be air tight let me know I will consider adding a full block version.

After figuring out the spontaneous combusting rails (I had RCS thrusters on the bottom near the slide) And the whole not-launching problem. This is Amazing! Can't wait to see some Battlestars popping up!

I think I have Ironed out as many Bugs as I can. I will be making build Stages for the Single and Low Profile Small Launcher system this week and Finalizing this MOD unless someone finds something wrong with it. VTG will be Releasing a New MOD This week Also I think Eve Online Fans will Love. Keep an eye out.
