coz im looking for certain military vehicle props, and no one has yet created them... so i want to add them to my planned city build

technically this is a wasp class amphibious assault ship and carries almost exclusively helicopters. The only planes it does care are ones that have VTOL capability.

I have to correct my previous post. I deployed on the USS Bataan LHA-5. The sister ship of LHA-7 which I did do workups on and had I extended, would have been my next deployment and this time to Iraq.

Still a magnificent ship.

This ship is actually the USS Iwo Jima. I deployed aboard her in 2001 to Afghanistan and the Gulf of Aden. She is a 844' ship that carries herrier jets and a variety of helicopters from Cobra's, to CH-45, CH-46 and CH-53.

LHA-7 USS Iwo Jima is part of the Tarawa class ARG (Amphibious Ready Group) ship. She is meant to transport roughly 2,000 US Marines on top of her Navy crew compliment to any point on the globe as needed.

This ship is stationed out of Naval Base Norfolk.

It was an honor to have known this ship.

(And by the way, I love your assets and have many of them working in my city. Especially the extensive variety of trucks. *Can you make some US fleet trucks like Target, WalMart, Kroger's (offshoot store Fred Meyer's), Safeway, Gordon Trucking, Swift, Yellow)

Straight deck carriers operating fixed wing aircraft went out of style in the 1950's. This would look better with helicopters and either the Harrier of the F-35. Nice try but no cigar.

well technically thats an LHD not an aircraft carrier... but hey they tried.

I like this mod but will pass. Not reason an F-117 should be on an aircraft carrier.

I really is great that you've put in what looks to be a Tarawa Class Amphibious Assault Ship, and I hope for more out of you! This is the only modern naval piece I've seen throughout the whole Cities Skylines workshop. A larger variety of military ships would be great! Like missile cruisers and the like, and mybe even a simple surfaced submarine. What would also be cool would be like WWII Battleships and heavy cruisers. Iowa Classes and maybe even old Japanese ships like the Fuso Class, Kongo Class, and the mighty Yamato! Keep up the good work!

I saw this pop up I was like no way an "Aircraft Carrier" With being in the Navy on the USS Midway and the USS George Washington, I was really glad to see someone had added the carrier to the game.
Then I saw the comments and Yes I could say the planes aren't right. BUT it is not like it is a working ship floating about in the water and the planes flying about in the sky now is it?
So can we say "MUSEUM"?? Look up the ones below:

USS Intrepid (CV-11) in New York NOTE : with the space shuttle and a SR 71 on it.
(Last note the USS Midawy is also a museum I feel old now. LOL)

f-117s? Come on F14s f18s intruder at least SOMETHING that is naval. Though this looks more like am amphibous assault craft like the Wasp America and Tarawa class then an an aicraft carrier.

You don't need the fighter or nighthawk props with this model. I baked those models directly into this one.

Well I don't know that much about Aerospace but I do know what looks good in game! I was just going for cool looking planes.

My only problem with this asset is that the F-117 can't land on a Carrier, and if the F-25 actually existed it wouldn't be carrier based either. (Forward-swept wings tend to require significantly more runway to takeoff and land, they tend to have a slower maximum speed than standard wing designs but can pull significantly tighter aerobatic maneuvers.)
