Is there a way to use Legions of Rome mod with FOE regardless of unit stats compatibility?
o8cbazz Apr 24 @ 3:11pm
Fixed it thanks
Aurelinus  [author] Apr 24 @ 11:14am
None of roman units is set as axe infantry for sure, remove mod that makes that. The best remove all incompatible mods you are using.
o8cbazz Apr 23 @ 4:04pm
Why do Lanciarii Palatina for the WRE appear as axe infantry? I believe they are supposed to show up as spear infantry.
Simurgh the persian Apr 22 @ 7:49am
why do most units have such low armor piercing?
C4 Apr 9 @ 1:04am
:steamhappy:Excited to see this mod still updating!!Is melee infantry has lesser man than spear infantry?I remember they have same soldier when Part3&4 still online.Such as Roman Palatini has only 160 soldier like vanilla, considerate all cavalry has 120 soldier.

I just wanted to say this mod is seriously underrated. I have undertaken numerous play throughs of the campaign. I am currently on turn 159 of my WRE campaign and it is still engaging. Keep up the good work FotE team.
Nemo Mar 26 @ 11:13am
so that might be worth a try i guess
Aurelinus  [author] Mar 26 @ 12:35am
mk1212 is known to be heavily interrupting if not removed, deactivation is not enough.
Nemo Mar 24 @ 11:23am
is it possible that some of the NOT active mods still influence the game when i launch it ?
Aurelinus  [author] Mar 24 @ 8:15am
Bastion onagers are kinda vanilla bug but essentially if they are not present that means they should not.
Compatibilty issues are cleared here:

I am having an issue with the bastion onagers stated to be present in the settlement but failing to appear in the actual siege battle,
and another bug regarding the settlement building of the romans stated to be adding walls that just doesn't.

i'm using the following mods in this order:
- Realistic Lighting and Environments
- Fall of the Eagles + Europa Perdita Revised - fix for MAGA
- Athanasios' Attila Ultimate Fixes for FotE, EP, FotE + EP Revised
- Fall of the Eagles + Europa Perdita Revised
- All Occupation & Diplomatic Options for All Factions ( Inc. Confed. )
- FotE - Part 1
- FotE - part 2
- Europa Perdita Reloaded
- MAGA region trading (reloaded)
- More Detailed Unit Stats Tab

Not sure if something is conflicting or is a bug,
if something is conflicting i'll just remove it but i can't seem to figure out what

Compared to other barbarians, the Vandals have few units of the third tier, maybe in the next update something will be added to the vandals.
Aurelinus  [author] Jan 30 @ 8:07pm
Essentially mechanism does good job - realistic and challenging.
Smiling Knight Jan 30 @ 4:05pm
@Aurelinus as I've sad I've abandoned settlements right from turn 1. Spend more then 30 turns and it's still gives me -16 public order per turn because of migrations. Add to this religious differences and taxes and you will have instant rebellions all over Empire, how am I suppose to deal with it? :bust: For me it seems like bug because immigration public order does not drop in 30 turns!
So I've started a new game and without abandoning any settlements immigrants give me -1 public order per turn. It seems like your mods(they are great by the way, I really like them, thx!) interrupts abandoning settlements for WRE(noob tactics - abandon everything you can't hold, like Britain, Germania, Pannonia), now I got it, gonna try to defend them :roman_shield:
Aurelinus  [author] Jan 30 @ 11:41am
You can use quarantine edict to decrease migration or build structures that prevent it.
Smiling Knight Jan 30 @ 10:55am
@Aurelinus so I need to resettle them for migration to stop?
Aurelinus  [author] Jan 30 @ 10:17am
I don't know how that mechanic works but possibly migration is increased with abandoning areas.
Smiling Knight Jan 30 @ 10:04am
How to deal with instant immigration? I've started as Western Roman Empire and abandoned Britain, Gaul, Pannonia and Noric(in Alps). Now all my other provinces(even in Africa!) suffer every turn(I've played around 40 turns) -18 public order because of migration! Why? How is it possible? How to deal with it? Is it because I've abandoned some provinces? I'm playing with Europa Perdita and Fall of the Eagles + Europa Perdita Revised:roman_shield:

I like card the unit cards, and units. When moving the mouse, it crashed. I have part and part 2. Is there any updates, or patches?
Redin5ide Jan 15 @ 10:14am
Stunning update Aurelinus, thanks for this!

Does this mod implement the 1hp system for battles that mods like ancient empires have used to give a pre rome 2 feel to battles?
Aurelinus  [author] Jan 3 @ 3:39pm
"All factions reskin and new models based on historical sources with entirely new rosters for GC, LotR and AoC" :steammocking:
sam.pidgeon Jan 3 @ 3:15pm
does this mod add many new units to all factions i like overhauls with unit variety just thinking of playing something in original game time frame some time as i nearly played every faction in AOJ
Aurelinus  [author] Jan 3 @ 4:04am
Yes, it is. And no real solution to this since it is caused with max number of men per unit which seems cannot be over vanilla's 160 or 180 depending on campaign.
If any mod alters those numbers, and FotE does that, replays stop working.
marckennethcabanero Jan 3 @ 2:39am
@Aurelinus, every time I replay a battle while using this mod my game crashes. Is this a common issue with mods?
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 12, 2024 @ 12:57pm
Positioning for better ground takes me 1/3 of the time limit. :steammocking:
AmbitiousRam Dec 12, 2024 @ 10:13am
How much harder does this make battles roughly? Also how long are they on average?
leow Dec 8, 2024 @ 7:47am
Thanks!
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 8, 2024 @ 2:25am
Leaving Britain as soon as possible also can be good idea.
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 8, 2024 @ 2:18am
Just use taxes tab (you don't expect good incomes with normal taxes, right?), or disband too much units, or demolish too expensive buildings, many ways.
leow Dec 8, 2024 @ 2:14am
Any tips on starting a WRE campaign? On Hard difficulty you start with an immediate -5972 financial loss.
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 4, 2024 @ 4:12am
You are not bothering at all, just find more time to look more carefully what you can meet in FotE really.
I just prefer that "dirty" style which makes you think they look better in other mods, while my taste is closer to initial Ahiga's intentions and keeping all those dirt and scratches was my intention as well.
Hetairos Dec 3, 2024 @ 4:49pm
Fair enough. Sorry for bothering then.
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 3, 2024 @ 4:38pm
Selected Anno Domini gear can be spotted if you play AoC with FotE. There is no place in late antiquity for that kind of chainmails. Ditto.
As for other stuff - some ideas were introduced into FotE, some not. I had to select arbitrary all the gear since engine is pretty limited for display diversity and i tried to minimalize cloning as much as it is possible which is a standard in the mods you mention.
Hetairos Dec 3, 2024 @ 4:00pm
well just take a look at the 400 AD mod (yes I am aware that most if not all of the models come from Sol invictus for Rome 2 and I do not know about the specific restrictions from the authors). The textures of the squamata, hamata, shields, helmets, (altough they look great in fotE already) crests. They just look better. My opinion sorry. Some mail armor from the Anno Domini team would work fine as late roman mail, that is if it is manageable to put late roman tunics or subarmalis underneath. I am not belittling your work by using the term "amazing models". Some modders have really created stunning new models in recent years.
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 3, 2024 @ 2:52pm
Anyway i suggest watching newest screenshots:
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198058688667/screenshots/

They should give you overall view to latest massive reskin that was made in April this year (details in "changes list"), incl. gear from Bannerlords/M&B, AD series, Sol Invictus and IB III models.
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 3, 2024 @ 2:39pm
Show me a single model there that is not used in FotE (and it is not restricted to their mods only), since i'm pretty sure amount of models existing in FotE is much wider than any other mods. Yet remember that some models are used exclusively in FotE + EP Revised only so count them as well.
Other thing is that i use some "amazing" models only for generals since they look too exclusive for standard soldiers, which doesn't seem to matter when you review those other mods.
Hetairos Dec 3, 2024 @ 1:46pm
Of course I was not saying "put new armors and stuff regardless of historical accuracy cause they're pretty". But those mods do have models of lorica squamata, hamata, spangenhelm, lamelar armor, ... that are accurate to the time period. Your mods' custom models are great just like Rome's DEI custom models are great but they don't hold up so well compared to newer (historically accurate) models hence the recent submods that reskin some of DEI's factions. Anyway even if you had found my request interesting it would be a huge amount of work so I won't argue
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 3, 2024 @ 10:04am
Ostrogoths marched into scene 100 years later so during campaign they are still barbarian horde with limited romanization functions.
Some Random Pleya Dec 3, 2024 @ 8:27am
Ostrogoth can't recruit roman unit don't know why
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 2, 2024 @ 5:22pm
As i told you - "amazing" is not correct measure to consider using model in the modification. And most of those "amazing" models doesn't fit neither early Vth nor middle VIth century.
Hetairos Dec 2, 2024 @ 4:06pm
I thought some models frome Age Of Justinian would fit perfectly and remain accurate to the time period either for the barbarians or sassanids. As for the romans the unfinished "400 AD" mod has some amazing models. But then again it is your mod and you put a lot of work into it. Just thought the textures are not aging so well compared to some newer mods out there
Aurelinus  [author] Dec 2, 2024 @ 2:08pm
De gustibus non disputandum est. Actually i prefer balance between "amazing" and realistic models used by FotE, instead of shiny, yet anachronical models used by other mods.
Anyway if those mods present something that fits the times it surely is to find in FotE and were added here first before others did.
But you should not look to find models from ToB inside FotE (which also there are mostly anachronical, Vendel period is XII century, not X) for germans at V or VI century.
Hetairos Dec 2, 2024 @ 1:32pm
This remains by far my favourite mod for Attila for it's campaign experience and the look of the units. Unfortunately the textures of the armors, tunics etc did not age so well now that mods such as the Rome HD series or Age of Justinian are out there. I would dream to see FOTE units reskinned one day using some of those new amazing models ans textures.
Aurelinus  [author] Nov 30, 2024 @ 6:32am
Even if unlocked all unplayable factions you can't play them due to faction leader bug - if he dies game will CTD instantly.
小蝦米 Nov 30, 2024 @ 3:38am
Would you consider unlocking those unplayable factions in the main campaign?
Aurelinus  [author] Nov 12, 2024 @ 2:32am
@Alessar, you can just PM me for such a thing instead of unclear column of text here. Removed intentionally, but without any bad emotions :).
