Dear SigmaStrain,

I am contacting you in regards to commissioning a private special copy of this mod, me and my fellow ship fighters are looking for a weapon that is almost identical to your's. The only difference is power, we need something like this, but it needs to be like an UBERMAC canon, it needs to be able to compleately tear through over 30 layers of heavy armor in a shot (we need a super ship killer). We are willing to compensate you with a good sum of $15 USD for this mod. We also would like the right to post the version you give us to the workshop for new server members to download, we of course would credit you for the creation, and it would remain your's under right of arist.

Awesome mod. It's not too overpowered, but it definetly gets the job done. Have you considered making other kinds of laser/xaser weapons? If so, I have lots of suggestions that I think you'd might like!

I really like the style of the long range bullets...finally something unique! The short range ones look a little weird and should definitely shoot at least a little bit further. I'd say 300+ meters so that they can actually be used on large ships.

It's actually just a trick! It's an emissive texture combined with a very long projectile. The trail scale is set to zero. This gives the illusion that it is a custom missile trail.

Hey sigma, if its not a lot of trouble a guy by the name of Mepex is looking into custom missile trails and I think your the only one who I know has that so I was wondering if you could give him a hint on how to do that. He is the guy behind the MW1 Cannon turret. If you got the time please tell him how you did that.

I agree with Angry_Reaper, 150 meters is fairly reasonable since once you get within 300 meters its fairly hard for the turrets to miss and even the big missle launcher. so 75 meters is almost suicidal depending on the enemy ships armaments.

So 150 is close enough for the enemy to really damage you but give you enough distance to be able to get away without too much trouble.

Do you actually know who was white dwarf? If yes, then this is pretty clever to name a precision redirected energy weapon after him!.

BTW: This is not a portal gun but it still makes holes :)

The design of the ammo was based around the idea that the actual "ammo" is the material you see floating in those containers. The containers are used to transport the material. If you fly towards the weapon and look inside, you can see a tube with some bright green material inside. That material is the Rectifier Substrate for the laser.

you can just press the toolbar button you've assigned to the weapon to swithc firing modes in creative.

add 2 extra creative only versions for each mode so that you dont have to waste time with making ammo for mode 2 in creative

I do think, and this may be on the OP side when it hits small ships, if the second firing mode shoots in 3 vectors so we wouldnt have to relay on rotors to move the weapon to block incoming missiles (I'll post a video later to show what I mean)

Ok good. I'm always open to suggestions. I try to balance the weapons to make them viable in PVP. I'm not too fond of OP designs without purpose.
